A known previous issue has been that launching Warframe via Steam Big Picture Mode actively disables many mouse-based cursor interactions as well as direct text entry via keyboard in chat and search boxes. While not ideal, an obvious workaround when playing on a local system has been to just not launch via Big Picture Mode if my intent is to play with a keyboard/mouse. However, with the recent opening up of Steam Link to allow remote streaming, it's now possible to stream the game via a remote Steam Link; this hardware fully supports keyboard/mouse input, but it uses Big Picture Mode as the launcher for this, so launching Warframe remotely this way effectively disables keyboard/mouse input, thus rendering it largely unplayable.
The behavior when launched via the desktop Steam interface allows for seamless transition between controller and keyboard/mouse inputs, and there is no obvious benefit to Big Picture Mode actively disabling keyboard/mouse inputs, only downsides such as this.
I'm so close my goal of playing Warframe on the go, but this is a dealbreaker.
