  1. - Rewrote the Lotus lines for Hyena boss so they don't reference a pack of Hyena robots.

About time !!!!! (sorry but it HAS been a while since it was a "problem" and is relatively easy to fix)

But otherwise good work DE (I love the fix on blade mastery achievment)

  2. First, if this is not the proper section then i am sorry and please move to proper section, thanks.

Now then, today i entered a mission on Themisto (corpus gas city) and the "ship" had taken some hits and so there were fires here and there. They say that there is no smoke without fire and in this case i did indeed see smoke before seeing any fire of sort. Actually the whole tile set was covered by smoke except the boss room. Lower visibility, i said, ok should be fun. Except that...i seemed to be the only one suffering from said lower visibility since the corpus could shoot me when i couldnt see them at all before goin toward them an other 10 meters or so (and only see a silhouette).

Now, don't get me wrong i'm not saying there shouldnt be any fog/smoke art in the game just that the AI should also be affected by said smoke/fog to be fair and more realist. Because let's be frank unless they use sonar or something to see you, it isnt really realistic for them to see you when you cant before moving 10 meters to barely see them. (it's also not fair because you can get attacked for a minute easy before you actually find your enemy after moving close enough to see him.

  3. If been said before i'm sorry but all i found regarding the scanner was the bug that makes you unable to use weapons which is not what i want to report.

I have noticed that if you have scanned things and die afterward and use a revive you lose all scans previously done in that mission (and the scanner used too) which makes you use scanners for nothing and made you lose the work you did on getting those scans (especially the hard worked stealth ones)

    here's hoping this gets fixed

  4. because a lot of times its something fairly simple and fairly close to home thats the cause (aka, the "it might be the computer" argument).

there is a reason why tech support has to ask "do you have it plugged in?", and its not just cause they wanna be $&*^s.

i once asked someone that question and that person replied "It has to be plugged in !?" and he was dead serious....so yup they ask that for a good reason.

An other example of such obvious statements would be on chainsaws having a warning to not stop with your hands.

  5. He's pulling it from Dark Sector, and the fact that the devs have said that Hayden Tenno (the game's protagonist) was the first Tenno (weird how that worked out, what with the same names and such...). The technocyte virus causes incredible pain that's so intense that it destroys your mind. Hayden had congenital analgesia, so when he got infected, he wasn't affected by the pain part, just the mutation. Why he didn't turn into a sapient tentacle beast is beyond me, though. But I never played the game, so I may be missing the reason why. Since Warframe is a spiritual successor to Dark Sector, there's going to be a little bleed-over, lore-wise.

i'm pretty sure Hayden expressed pain whenever i got hit in Dark Sector (especially by a melee infested)

  6. Aw, come on. You know it'd be cool to slaughter your enemies in Rapture. And actually, the whole underwater tunnel thing would work really well on Europa, considering the fact that it's essentially an ocean world. I just hope that the Corpus use higher quality glass in their tunnels than their ships' exterior windows...

not entirely sure but isnt europa made of liquid methane?

  7. there is a thing called heart, that pumps the blood around your body. If you want to heat blood enough you need to stop the heart or you are heating a re-circulating fluid, effectively cooking the animal. Also the blood is pressurized, and there is no way you can keep it there by just cooking it as the pressure would simply pop the cork of cooked blood with sheer pressure alone.

I guess you never did a First Aid course yes? Even a tiny hole in an arm artery will send blood everywhere and you will have to go and manually press down the artery to close it and limit the loss.

Now think doing the same with something that has the output of a garden hose (like the major arteries in the legs and the neck).

I'm sorry Dave, I can't let you do that.

This means what? That they were just more ignorant than us. See below.

By your reasoning everything unknown is magic, and that's not what magic is. I was expecting a Clarke quote though.

Science laws are universal and always apply. There has not been a SINGLE case where a new law did contradict the past. They always expanded or made the older ones more accurate in weirder situations. (like say Newton's and Einstein's)

So if science says it's impossible... well it is and will ever be. That's why we call it magic. Magic is impossible stuff happening either on its own or by some arbitrary rules, usually in fiction and games.

science once said it is impossible to have a round planet and for earth to turn around the sun....i fail to see how it was anywhere near right and i seriously doubt we are anywhere near as knowledgeable in science then we shall be in a millenium (if there is no new dark age)

before we discovered quantum mechanics we thought that what quantum mechanics says is possible was actually impossible (as proof of that there is the fact Einstein never acknowledged quantum mechanics as anything other then random thoughts that says stupid and irreal things)

but i'll agree that there exist a possibility of me being wrong in the cauterisation part... though i stay skeptical

  8. The only problem is it doesn't do anything that lower rank weapons don't already do. Ignis has the AOE element (and VASTLY superior at it) and acrid has the poison armor ignore damage. It doesn't combine them in any useful way, it just feels like a toy.

torid would be a better exemple then no?

  9. i7

    8mb ram

great graphics card, cant remember now the exact one, but can run any game on high quality

Its not my end, its DE that needs to get there stuff right.

i meant more in the order of bugs, virus, spyware, etc. then your specs

because i have worst specs then ya and i never crash so...yeah

    i3

    4mb ram

ATI radeon HD 5650 with 1gb

as you can see it's a lot lower then yours... o and might i add that it's a laptop and i'm playing with wifi

  10. Physics fail. If you flash-vapurize water you get a steam explosion, and at the power levels needed to vapourize a whole artery's section worth of blood (a few grams of water) you have a grenade-like explosion.

"vapourization" is "turn X in vapor" not "poof". You just turned matter into a high pressure gas, that will then act like a low-power explosive.

And guess where the energy you just dumped int it to vapourize it goes?  Yes! It's now kinetic energy that powers the expansion of the heated gas!

Again, another guy that skipped school.

that would be in a case where it is all done at the same time but the laser took some time to reach the artery slowly cooking it and blood CAN be cooked, ever heard of black pudding? Also in wars they often cautherize injuries that are losing too much blood (maybe less now then before) by putting black powder on the wound and lighting it effectively cautherizing the wound (even those that you would say are pissing blood). So calling something that the science details we dont know magic is overboard.

Then again if you were to go in ancient greece with your laptop and use it in front of them they would also call that magic so yeah...(heck they would call it that in the 19th century lol)

  11. Yes

Please tell me how most scientific logic can be applied to this game

please explain how ability to jump off of 100 meter drops don't kill us

tell me how a headshot is not an instant kill

tell me how sound is able to travel through space

explain the various biological and chemical processes required to mutate 2 different human beings into a feral canine like abomination or a squid like creature on 2 legs

    i am DYING to know

sound in space? you sure are good to have gone in space in this game considering all battles takes place in a space ship or an asteroid station or a planet, all with an atmosphere might i add (in most cases if not all they were all artificial atmosphere or modified ones but still)

the headshots ones....helmets+shields+ who knows what science will create in a millenia or 2

the jump one is rather harder and more harduous to explain, maybe some Anti-pressure component got discovered and is being used to nullifie the effects, maybe we have some sort of small rockets that slows us down (not likely here) lower gravity also makes you able to jump from higher, we are ninja so we probably are also using ninja ways to reduce the strenght of the impact on our bodies. The suit itself might also absorb part of that impact without sending it to our bodies. Basically there is a number of possible explanations here.

As for the infestation consequences, there are already some major physical changes in today's nature (larvas becoming bees, catterpillars becoming butterflies) and even illness that affects badly the human body(ever heard of ebola turning your organs into liquid?) so an illness that would developp on your body and perform body modification certainly is in the possible aspects. Also seeing that the infestation also seems to affects objects to some extent i would say that part of the infested that dont look at all like a grineer or corpus could have simply grown over the host body like a plant growing on a wall or like a tree growing around a sign like iin this picture

    20101016-123426-006.jpg

You fail at reading comprehension. I said Alad V isn't possibly using a laser BECAUSE LASERS DON'T WORK LIKE THAT, but magic spell, and unless we know what spell that is, we cannot use its effects to determine what a Tenno is.

Now please take a chill pill and go back at school.

like i said above if the laser has enough energy and heat a laser can act that way too it's just a matter of temperature and energy ammount.

  12. there is no mathematic relation to a weapons power and its required mastery rank if that is what you are asking.

DE just puts the mastery rank they feal fits the weapon the most according to themselves when they take a look at the weapon's power and building requirements

  13. you cannot cauterize magically a major artery. Lasers aren't magic and can't seal a 2+inch tube with water in it no matter how powerful they are.

If you cut apart a person, the only way for it to not spit blood everywhere would be to kill it a day or so before the mutilation. Blood clots and becomes a jelly thing in that time so you won't have to wipe the floors with chlorine to make it go away.

But I frankly call that bs animation that makes no sense whatsoever.

Unless you know what kind of magical spell was cast to cut the arms you can't know if the glow was caused by the spell itself.

Need to go and ask my Pathfinder wizard if he knows anything about that...

eum....if there is enough heat it can easily cauterize major arthery in a split second just needs to be hot enough to evaporate water the moment it touches the laser and voilà the arthery gets cautherized in the blink of an eye.

  14. The fictional system we have in-game is called Origin system (check the lore section about Grineer). Probably because it's the system from where Orokin came from, Homesystem sounds bad and Homeworld was already taken.

Any similarity to real life is purely unintentional, as the planet called Venus is an ice planet and the moon called Phobos appears to have an atmosphere and normal gravity.

If they want any credibility they need their own fully-organic tileset. Possibly showcased in a fomorian-like event (no, Gradivus was just $&*&*#(%&).

Ancients managed to become fully alien things after enough mutation of a human. Why not places? The overgrowths become more prevalent than the original stuff they are attached to.

i doubt infested are capable of building something. Also for venus and Phobos....have you ever heard of terraformation? cause it can certainly explain these. Also one usually dont use our solar system if they want to make it so that it is considered to be in a universe without any relation to ours

  15. During the Gradivus Dilemma, Alad V commented that "Well, you don't have eyes", which may have just been a reference to our helmets,

But in the preview for the new trailer that was shown in Livestream #17, it also shows Alad V "dissecting" an Excalibur,

and when the Excalibur is pulled apart, you see glowing-hot metal where his limbs were, instead of burnt flesh.

So, with this information, I think that the Tenno aren't human, but WHAT exactly?

as far as i could tell those glowint hot metal were only where the suit got cut open so.... in my opinion that melted metal was just the suit (pretty sure there was a black part where the limbs are

  16. "The time for partnerships with these warlords has ended. We are no longer forced to support them in their petty conflicts. We must return to our stated goal of bringing balance to the solar system."  - The Lotus
