  1. There are a lot more important issues out there, but the change that happened a while back where you are not required to press your run key to wall run has had a big impact on the feel of Warframe to me.  Maybe I was lucky that I mastered the wall run quickly, but now that they 'dumbed' it down so you automaticlaly wall run, I find myself lurching about the map, constantly jumping backwards instead of climbing up things, wall running and leaping across a room instead of hopping up into a sewer drain, etc.

Can we get the ability to opt out to use the prior movement scheme?

  2. 1. Thanks!

    2. Just need a little clarification on elemental damage.  So if my screen says I am doing 500 Corrosive, because I put Stormbringer and Infected Clip in my rifle, it will actually DO that damage every shot, or it will only do that if it procs?  Makes a huge difference on the build.

    3. How does Charged Melee damage work?  It is just a number, not a I/P/S number.

    4. Thanks!!

  3. Great responses, folks!  Sounds like I wasn't the only one thinking along these lines, or who might have learned something of interest.

I have been reading and re-reading Shield Polarize on the Wiki and I am glad to hear that it does act as it reads.  Need to get one of our Mag owners on top of that.

Scary, but good, advice on the Rhino running without IS.  Makes sense to use duration and range mods, too.   I have stretch in, but not Constitution or Continuity...need to look at that.

Glad to see Radial Disarm getting some love, too.  It makes heavy unit Grineer and Corpus laughably easy to take down.  Should also synergize well with Shield Polarize since it will bunch them up as they make haste to get into melee range.

So this might be asking a lot, and I will work on it with my team, but we are obviously limited by who owns what Frames.  Anyone interested is welcome to take a shot at a best-possible team out of our available options.  Otherwise, thanks a lot for the positive, informative feedback.  I'll be back with more questions!

Player 1 (me, the plat spender):

    Excal / Excal Prime

    Rhino

    Loki

    Nyx

    Volt

    Considering Nekros

    2 (the farmer/crafter):

    Frost

    Nova

    Mag

    Ember

    Vauban

    Ash

    Rhino

    Grinding for Frost Prime

    3 (the all-time healer):

Trinity (full time, doesn't want to play anything else.  Luck for me, right?)

    Mag

    4 (isn't always available):

Banshee (don't see a lot of love on the forums, but Sonar is massive for us, so far, and Shock Wave is good for knockback from the pod)

    Excal

    Opinions appreciated!

  4. Loki's Radial Disarm is also level independent, but only with the Corpus and Grineer. Still very good though.

Oh, I just listed a few examples of abilities in my original post.  I know that there are many more examples.  I am more interested in what people are playing at higher levels, and am I placing too much emphasis on powers that scale?  For instance, Slash Dash murders for a long time, then you start bouncing off level 80s and it becomes an afterthought, or just for mobility.

  5. Hi folks,  I have a couple hundred hours in, 5 max level frames and many max level weapons (some winners, some losers), I have most of the non-corrupted Fram mods, and all Nightmare mods (except Blaze), we do usually 20 to 25  minutes in Void Survivals, so I would consider myself a mid-range player - not a rookie, but not yet anywhere approaching elite.  I play in a dedicated cell of RL friends and we are having a blast.  Between all 4 of us we have tried all Frames except Nekros and are starting to talk about the end-game, or higher-tier/longer duration fights, and what to bring to the party.

The first time my Rhino lost IS in one hit I started to question his effectiveness at higher tiers.  I have since taken him back up and enjoy Roar and Stomp quite a bit, but IS is still only a very temporary buffer against level 80-100 enemies.

So my current theory is that anything that has a set number value, for damage or defense (ex: Iron Skin, Radial Javelin), is sub-optimal and our team should be focused on things that are based on timed effects (ex:Snow Globe, Radial Blind), percentages (ex: Molly Prime, Sonar), reflection (ex; Absorb, Link), or level-independant effects (ex: Chaos, Bastille, or anything that Trinity has): all these things scale to the level of enemy you are fighting, or have effects that work as well on Pluto as Mercury.

This makes me sad because right from the start of the game I made a bee-line for Rhino and I really love him (I am a tank in every game I play).  I have seen other Frames in action, and have played many, but I still always want to come back to him.

I see in a lot of posts that Rhino is great, and used at high levels, so I am just looking for some feedback from you top tier mission runners on what you are playing, and why.  Scaling powers seem so important to me, and I believe that it will make fighting high end enemies more viable.  I am wondering if I am missing something, and if there is something else that you should be basing your Frame on other than how it can perform against level 100+ Ancients.

Don't get me wrong, I like other Frames, but our cell wants to be the most effective it can be.

Thanks for your insights (please keep your incites to yourself!).
