Defections are completely broken atm.

The defectors are randomly falling down and then getting stuck on the Neptune one. The Squads are also spawning in twos and threes and only every second one is counting.

[I'm a little lost...]

-{Focus and Focus Lenses}  When you equip a focus lens to a warframe or weapon you will earn that focus schools focus. The lenses make it possible to unlock and upgrade each focus school. Regarding Primary and Secondary its the importance of each focus school (the ones abilities you want to use has to be set to primary).

-{Amps} Your operators weapon, mostly used to take down eidolons.

-{Arcanes} Used to upgrade your warframe (not worth it most of the time)

I definitely wouldn't say that the operators would be wasted. This simply makes them optional as sacrificing one tree gives you the option of using an operator with another tree or using an ability. Sacrificing all the trees would be interesting for sure, but I imagine they'd limit it somehow to ensure operator accessibility for future quests and certain missions.

What do you think about them giving you a choice when you press the key to use the operator and the ability or just the ability?

On a side note we know operators might be using the weapons we have equipped in the future as well so you have to keep that in mind.

I'm thinking that the sacrifice will result with the player making the choice to exchange a worked branch of the focus tree for a related ability to be used in place of the operator during a mission.

Drop those tomatoes and let me explain. 

After finishing the quest, I imagine myself taking these next steps:

Go to my operator, select the Madurai focus tree in which I have a large amount of focus, then select to sacrifice the tree in exchange for an ability (probably similar to the energy beam original to Madurai). Afterwards, I select Madurai as my focus and go out to murder some grineer. When I press the key for switching to my operator, she doesn't come out. Instead, my new ability activates.

 

This is what I expect to see at the completion of this new quest. I'm sure you all will doubt me, but you have no better guesses so let my will be done! 😇😈😇

 

Not Impossible, but it would mean that all of the work that went into operators is wasted. Rather unlikely if you ask me.
