  1. Warframe offers a huge amount of mods, weapons and resources. This is a good thing, but it is also easy to get lost in the long lists. To tackle this issue, an improved sorting capability would help.

    I would suggest to leave the sorting drop menu and add a second line under the main item line (see below for more details). The second line would change options according to the first line selection. The second line would start with "All"; this would make no changes to the current sorting by default.

    The second line should specify the selection in the first line. Below I am suggesting "subcategories" that could be of big benefit for sorting.

    Mods screen

    - every second line starts with "All mods" (like the first line); by default this makes no changes to the list

    - First line option - second line options

    - Everything - no options in the second line necessary

    - Installed - no options in the second line necessary

    - Warframe - List of all warframes, to show only mods suitable for them (specific + universal mods)

    - Primary - Rifle; Shotgun; Bow;

    - Secondary - no options in the second line necessary

    - Melee - Melee; Throw;

    - Stances - List of types of melee weapons

    - Sentinel - List of all sentinels (specific + universal mods)

    - Kubrow - List of all Kubrows (specific + universal mods)

    - Aura - no options in the second line necessary

    - Cores - no options in the second line necessary

    Inventory screen

    - every second line starts with "All items"; by default this makes no changes to the list

    - Warframe - no options in the second line necessary

    - Weapons - Primary; Secondary; Melee;

    - Sentinel - no options in the second line necessary

    - Appearance - Warframes; Weapons; Misc.; (emblems etc.)

    - Extractors - no options in the second line necessary

    - Gear - no options in the second line necessary

    - Keys - Void; Derelic; Dragon; Misc.;

    - Resources - no options in the second line necessary

    - Misceallenous - Non primary warframes; Primary warframes; Non primary weapons; Primary weapons; Misc.;

    Upgrade screen (frames, weapons, sentinels)

    - A second line with numbers 0 - 15  for drain & Aura;

    Tenno - if you're happy with the current sorting options, you are either a genius or don't have that many items/mods. If you have other/better sorting suggestions, please let us know.

  2. It literally scales with your conclave.  Boss too hard? Take off some mods or equipment.  The boss is now easier. This isn't rocket science.

    Sure, but why bother with levels at all, if the same level boss change. And what outfit would you take for a public game? How do you fight a boss who is scaled to a high conclave if you are stripped down (new weapons), when you join a random public game where the host is high conclave. So you will be basically a tourist and hope the host can deal with the boss alone. That's simply wrong.

  3. Either use the levels as means for strength reference or get rid of them. If Mission with lev 10 - 13 means something different based on your sentinel, frame, weapon or color of the underwear of your team mates, it is better not to show any levels at all.

    This makes no sense. You have a wpn you can kill a boss with. You level it up five levels and some random ppl join your team and suddenly your weapon is useless. This is not challenging, this is confusing and frustrating.

    If you would like to keep the levels and scale the challenge, you need to have something like a permanent nightmare version of the bosses, where the player can choose what he wants. You cannot satisfy both sides with one system. BTW - if you scale the difficulty, you should scale the reward as well.

  4. Citation/proof needed.

    "I am like a Sentinel" - quoting the words of my cellphone.

    I have no proof, since Warframe is a fictional game.

    My Carrier says you are wrong. Now it sits there in the right corner opposing the Kubrow Egg in the left corner and needs some comforting. :<

    Maybe you have the wrong network carrier. Call your Carrier. Comfort it. Call it to war!

  5. To kick AFK players (suggestion):

    If a player is one/two minutes AFK, the others will be able to vote kick. If the Votekick is successful (majority of the group), the AFK player becomes a warning message whether he is AFK and that he will be removed from the squad in 5/10 seconds, unless he presses N. If he is not AFK, he can press N and remain in game.

    I would rather have this not done automatically, since there can be situations where you want to wait for a player who has his answering phone call / door bell etc.

    If somebody is waiting in front of the screen ready to push N but be otherwise AFK, then he is likely to suffer more than the team :-)

  6. Technically speaking, you are not feeding your pet at any time, but their DNA becomes unstable (Genetic Stability) as consequence of the DNA altering techniques applied during the incubation. Your Goat would therefore not die from starvation, but rather suffer critical internal organ dysfunction, bleeding.

    His liver would stop filtering his blood which would slowly poison him and his lungs would probably start to filling with water. Because of the DNA instability, he might have grown huge cancer tumours. Huge tumours could made him look normal, even though he was actually shrinking inside. This would all be very painful, but he might have suffered strong spine and brain trauma, leaving him in a kind of lobotomised state, unable to either feel or express pain.

    Has he displayed any unusual symptoms like:

    - nightmares

    - short and shallow breath

    - hot nose

    - dry eyes

    - pain

    - uneasiness

    - fever, paroxysm

    - bleeding from nose/eyes/ears

    or any other symptoms

    It's hard to make any assumptions based purely on your pictures and any conclusion adopted  are highly questionable. We need more evidence. We need to repeat the process multiple times and study carefully Kubrows' biological and psychological changes. I try to collect more hard evidence with Kubrows in my ship/laboratory/butchery. But without autopsy it's going to be hard. The damn Cephalon knows exactly why he is immediately disposing of the bodies!

    Let's hope we can find a way to improve the DNA alternation process and a more human way to put the Kubrows down. Peace to their brave souls.

    @fredbred

    The main reason I brought up the point of a rusher being able to deny low-to-mid rank players of the rewards from a mission was this statement in your first post:

    And I still have to ask: How is that fair to anyone?

    The rusher gets the reward and he was able to troll everyone else and prevent them from getting any rewards by coptering through the level as an Ember with WoF and killing all of the exterminate enemies before anyone else could see them, let alone shoot them.

    Why shouldn't the low levels get a reward from the mission that a high level joined in with no warning and ruined it for them?

    Why should the new players get penalised even though they couldn't do anything and it was impossible for them to contribute in the mission?

    Why should a high rank rusher be able to deny everyone else in the squad the rewards for the mission?  Especially since its not possible to prevent it from happening.

    It's more fair to get nothing for no contribution than to get reward for AFK.

    The question is - how often will you miss a reward because of this and how many players will stop abusing AFK and reward for being.

    I have been trough lvls where I could not keep up with the first two players, but that happened maybe 3 times, and I played over 360hours. I have, however, had many games, where I joined a public game and the host or a client was just sitting there waiting for the mission to complete itself. Certainly over a 100 games of AFK abuse.

  8. So, special rules for everything? Is this a ninja game or line dancing?

    Yes, there are different rules for every mod right now, you should know that.

    That means, that to complete exterminate, the goal is to kill all enemies.

    To complete defence mission, you need to protect something etc.

  9. Like I said. You can't even imagine someone playing this game in a different way.

    Why the hell should I have to stop and kill one token mob when I solo sabotage/espionage/whatever with my Loki? It's stupid.

    Since different games have different rules, maybe this should be also per mod.

    Probably the exterminate, survival, defence mission should require a hit.

    But you still need to do something in the others. Or you just run the levels?

  10. So a high rank rusher that joins an exterminate mission and kills *everything* before the low ranked players can even catch up (which I have seen happen and been on the receiving end of) is perfectly fine, but the low ranked players who weren't able to do anything because they simply couldn't dont deserve a reward and deserve a mark against them for 50 missions even though there was nothing that they could do to stop it?

    How is that fair to the low ranked players?

    And all that does is give rushers another way of ruining the mission for low ranked players.

    Ops, not a mark. But their contribution to the completion of the mission is highly questionable.

    The mark was suggested for a kick, the topic of this thread.

  11. Impressive. You can't even imagine somebody having a different playstyle. No stealthing in your ninja game!

    I can, but I thing that the game should favour the majority. If you play a stealth game, you should still contribute to the team towards the goal. Do you? If so, how? Or do you just wait for the team to do the work?

  12. Invite Only / Friends Only / Solo is what that's for. If you're going on Public and someone's &!$$ing you off, just /ignore them. Problem solved.

    Oh, and, that would really be exploitable. Dark Sector Conflicts and the like, with alts from the defenders kicking attacking members.

    Fair point - dark sector would  need a special treatment. Btw - this is the place that is currently abused the other way - joining your rival's team and loose the game ,because there is not punishment for it.

  13. thats almost exactly what a lot of loki/ash players do on capture missions, it still completes the mission tho.

    Don't you have to shoot the subject before you can capture?

    I am not saying that people cannot come up with better rules but:

    - If you would be playing stealth, a single hit would work for you

    - if somebody abuses stealth (eg exterminate missions), he currently only gets rewarded - at the end

    If you hack a console or capture or destroy a reactor, that should still count as hit.

  14. @fredbred

    Even if you do ensure that people cant join shortly before completion, what do you do about all of the high levels joining lower ranked players missions?

    I've seen missions where a high ranked player in uber gear joined a team of R0's and R1's for an exterminate.

    By the end he had 100% of the kills and damage done.

    Under your plan that would tag all of the new players as AFKers for 50 missions, and all of the repercussions that would come from that.  And all due to absolutely no fault of their own.

    Add to the fact that there is no easy way to stop that as you only need to be R2 to get the boltor prime through trades and such and that starts to become a bigger and bigger issue.

    Yes, that is why suggested Damage and not Kills. But is somebody dos not have a single hit in the whole mission, did he even participate? Does he deserve a reward? If so, maybe we just stay in the menu highlighting the various mission and get the reward. What's the difference?

    Oh, wow, a big fat middle finger to all stealth players. How creative.

    If stealth means that you do not make a single hit in a mission and let the other struggle with the fight, that's what I would call an abuse of the fact, that he cannot be kicked.

    If somebody does not have one single hit in the whole mission, I don't think its fair to reward him.

  15. And if this gets implemented, until DE stops putting us in mostly completed missions when joining in public matchmaking, any lost rewards, credits, etc. should be deducted from your account. And if you don't have those resources, your account goes negative. An IOU to DE, so to speak.

    I don't know how many missions (a hell of a lot) I've gotten placed in, in which the level is over 50-99% complete. Especially in exterminates. I've been dropped into exterminate missions where it's like, oh, 168/169 enemies...near the beginning of the map. Either I run to extraction, or I abort which adds to my "Missions Quit" stats. So the whole thing is a waste of my time with the exception of getting mission rewards and/or credits and whatever resources I can find before everyone extracts.

    The only ones I don't get dropped in for instance are:

    1) Defense missions on wave 6, I've been dropped into Defense missions where the loading screen comes up and the next thing I see is "Claim & Exit"/"Battle"

    2) Interception past the first wave. Same deal as above.

    3) Survival past 5 (or 10 in certain alerts). I've been dropped in as late as a few seconds before extraction is available.

    4) Capture after all the targets have been captured. I've been dropped in missions where one was already captured but there was still one left to get.

    And so on.

    And just what I need, more distracting crap popping up on my screen. The game should not offer to kick anyone. If the feature is implemented, it should be user-initiated. And all that means is that people will kick people to get rid of the pop-up or any annoying and distracting blinking notification icons.

    So basically you are saying that it needs to be ensured, that we cannot  join a game shortly before completion. That's a good point, no need to be sarcastic or offensive.

  16. Players will always be able to abuse the mechanics of a game. Right now, one player can abuse the whole team because he CANNOT be kicked.

    There must be a way to punish abusive and unfair behavior. Maybe Fuzzycoco could update the first post with some of the ideas in this thread (if he likes any). Some are inspiriting.

    There could be some "rules" which could lower the current abuse.

    Like

    - players, who do not do any damage during a session, get NO rewards and do not complete the mission and get a message about it; there would be a statistics (AFK statistics) for the last 50 missions visible together with the mastery (eg. on mouse over). Surely, if someone would join my void mission lobby and had an AFK in the last 50 mission bigger than zero, I would consider asking him to leave. If he is good for 50 missions, he can remove it.

    - this might be a problem for some, but I don't think, that players who complete a mission death or were death most of the mission, should be completing the mission. They should keep their collected resources, but not get the mission award. There should be an option to use an revival at the end, if they are currently dead at the time the mission is finished.

    - if a player activates a Power Supply over 70%, he should get a big red informative text "Careful, X% of supply wasted"

    For a vote kick option

    - (AFK rule) players who are afk for more like 2 min during the any 5 min of the game, would be offered for others to be kicked;

    - players with a AFK statistics > 0 could be kicked by 2 players, otherwise 3

    - a kicked player should keep collected resource

    - there should be a statistics for how many times a player was kicked; i would suggest again to keep it for 50 (completed) missions

    - a player (other than AFK from the beginning) should not be kicked after a boss is defeated

    - if there are only two players, no one can kick the other unless the first 2 min rule

    - no players should be kicked after 5 min of their gameplay except AFK rule

    I know that many of you can might come up with many more useful rules / update these that could be implemented to minimize abuse.

  17. I believe too that an optional non perspective menu layout could well exist together with the current one without too much trouble for the DE.

    DE - in February there were more than 5.5 mil players. If everyone gets stuck 1 second longer in the mods menu it gives a total of 5.5 mil seconds. That is more than 63 days of human life wasted. And my experience says that rather more than 1 second.

  18. Do you know the main difference between a Kudrow and a Sentinel?

    Sentinel is a machine, like your cellphone. It has no feelings and was manufactured to aid you.

    Kudrow is a mammal born from an egg. You have enslaved it and it is kept alive by drugs.

  19.

    I am sorry to hear that you straggled. Have you actually been able to complete any of the missions? You might be right that the abilities should always be strictly against enemies. Most likely you would be restricted to no AOE weapons. What weapons did you use - Latron or Boltor?

    I have not thought much about companions. Although I doubt you were able to test the kudrows when the Damage 2.0 system was introduced, they should probably not deal any ff, since you cannot control them directly.

    To be honest, I feel like using 10% of all the equipment right now. Tell me, how many frames and weapons do you use on regular basis? Not the ones you use only to level tho.

    What would you suggest to be "tweaked" to balance out the ff?

  20. Right, so in a PUG, people will just go melee and you have no way of either going in there or risk shooting in there for fear of hitting them, so they get to play the mission and you don't.

    With mates, you are all spending more time staying out of each others way than you are paying attention to the missions, missions may I add, where sometimes you have to open the door from an elevator and go face to face with 20+ mobs, and about the only ability you can fire off is Snow Globe or Electric Shield to buy a few seconds, and then, when you are covered in enemies - which by the way don't do FF on each other - you can't shoot to defend them.

    At least Borderlands is sensible enough to NOT respawn enemies once you have cleared an area. You have to leave and come back. In here, they can just keep spawning on the next tile and come back at you.

    If you trying only to say, that you would not like it, that's ok. If you are trying to say that this cannot work, you are wrong.

    Don't say it is not possible. Say I don't know how it would be done.

    I will do this just once and just for you. Let's elaborate on your scenario. You open the lift door and there are 20 enemies waiting for you. Then, Trinity would cast Blessing, making the team immune to damage for 10s. If that is not enough time to kill the 20 enemies, she casts it again. After you secure the first room, you wont be rushing and leaving everybody behind - like it is done now - you would proceed as a team. Look, I am just writing this on the spot and I am sure that that there are players who would find even better ways to deal with it.

    The reason I suggested FF was that the game becomes less and less entertaining after a while (360hrs for me) with the running and shooting at everything that moves. I have all the non prime warframes in my inventory, but play only 3 of them, unless somebody asks me to play a specific one, because there is no need. There are mods like Warm Coat and similar that I never bothered to upgrade. There are weapons that I just leveled up or maybe just let to level up as the second weapon and never equipped again. There are melee weapons that can hit only a single enemy per swing - but why bother if there are multi hit melee weapons and you would just equip less efficient weapon if you don't pick it. I was hoping that a mod with FF could actually change the scale rather significantly, allowing us to take advantage of all the stuff that's in the game, but which we don't use.

    The fact is that neither of us played warframe with FF. To see if this would be fun or boring, we would actually need to try it first.
