  1. Since the others have explained the basics, I'l try to add up something that you will want to look for when you start playing in 5x3 hunts

For the role, I will quickly explain 4 meta frame roles

    • Chroma, the DPS : go strength and use radiation sniper to oneshot limbs and the eidolon itself at the final phase, your teamate won't spent a bullet at the eidolon if you do your job right
    • Trinity, the support : go for bless build. At start, get 1 lure and charge it, then park it at the eidolon so it wouldn't teleport away. After that, go collect the other 7 lures in 2-3 minutes ( the average time to take down teralyst in 6/5x3 hunts ), they will be charged naturaly when fighting eidolons. Chipers help

*If you are slow, you can grab 2 lures and park it, then go for the remaining 6 lures. Don't worry about the lure health because teralyst's damage is miniscule

    • Volt, the shield dealer : go duration and efficiency ( 175% ). Your shield affect spacekid's toy and weapon damage. Just spam them in a good position and don't forget to also put it down at the final phase
    • Harrow, the QoL : go 90 - 95 % duration. Use 4 just before the eidolon releases their energy wave. Why below 100% duration ? Because with competent teamates the limbs will be destroyed in less than 3 seconds and your crit buff will still be up by the time you need to recast your 4. Fyi, you can avoid the magnetic proc in spacekid's void mode but your frame will lose all of its energy

    * Can you use other frames than these 4 ? Yes, chroma can be replaced with other damage buffing frame such as rhino and harrow can also be replaced by the likes of limbo and oberon while volt's amp-buffing-shield and trin's instant 100% heal with long 75% damage reduction is harder to replace. But these 4 has been proven to be effective while producing a stable result and more importanly, they have a very low skill requirement to play so you can roll the dice with randos more safely. I'm usually a bit skeptical when some rando play octavia for dps or oberon for supp and they usualy do f*ck up or underperform

    For the spacekid's build

    • If you don't play DPS, go for Unairu because you can spam unairu's wisp that will double the kids amp damage and you tend to be far from the eidolon as you need a good position to aim the limbs
    • If you play the other 3 roles, gor for madurai. It has void strike that will  multiply your next 8 damage depending on how long you stay in void mode before shooting, making one-shotting a shield trivial
    • For QoL, you might want void dash as it will allow you to traverse about 150 meters in a blink. Convenient when you need to go to the thot altar or go back home from the river when your trin tp the lure [ I'l explain later ]

    For your archwing

    • I highly reccomend Itzal solely for the blink. Sometime, the eidolon will spawn 600-800 meter away from the thot altar and you basicaly want to be at the altar when it is captured to shave off a huge amount of time or when your chroma forgot that there is no charged lure available. Not the mention the occasional bug that teleports the eidolon away
    • I also recomend to unequip your melee as getting out from your archwing makes you use a slam attack that will consume your VS and sometimes get you down in a unfavoreable posiition

    For your weapon

    • For chroma, full radiation 6-forma lanka with a riven should do the job
    • For the rest, just use anything you like as you shouldn's spent an ammo at the eidolon if your chroma is competent

    Now for the hunt itself

    • You might want to check the recruitment tab 15 min before night. It will be crumpled with tridolon requests and it usually took 5 minutes to find a team
    • After that you and your gang will go to the plains and start charging your VS for the remaining time while chroma will go up using the archwing to spot the teralyst
    • When night falls, you trin will start to take 1 lure and charge it while the rest go for the teralyst
    • Keep in mind that you will take turns shooting your amp in the first round. Volt will put down his shield and usually shoots first while harrow charges his VS for the oncoming fight and trin will start charging after she collects all the lure ( because you need to shoot to get the lure ). After the first round, everybody shoots
    • Your chroma will spawn unairu's wisp ( usually between the eidolons leg ), it will double your operator's amp damage and stacks with void strike [ if you have 15 stack it will be 30 because 15x2 = 30 ] making the shield draining phase considerably fast
    • When the teralyst is captured, immediately blink away to thot lake ( after confirming to your trin that he is able to do that ). The lures will teleport to their owner if the distance is too far. And voila, the loot will spawn at thot lake and you can immediately put the shard without wasting any time
    • Gantulyst will spawn at random point at thot lake. This is where void dash comes really handy because you can immediately dash in front to the ediolon and depletes his shield even before he starts moving.
    • Repeat until Hydrolyst is captured. If your trin tp the lure to thot lake, then she will also be able to tp it to the gate, making the loot spawns at the gate so you can reenter quickly

When you start stacking up hydrolyst captures and get a pass to 5x3 teams, you can enjoy your daily 100-400 plat income

  2. So i have stopped playing wf for a few months because one or two things, but now im ready to do some tridolons and trading rivens again.

So my question is do we have some sort of new meta regarding tridolons ? The last time I play its Volt / Harrow / Trinity / Chroma with x23 amp and you should be able to pull 5x3 easily if the person you are playing with knows what to do and 6x3 with a premade team.

And because i went to hiatus before fortuna hits, I wonder if there is some sort of trend that is much more efficient maybe ? Because of new frame / weapon / amp /etc

I'm not talking about sidegrade such as replacing harrow with limbo or oberon since the result is usualy the same (5x3 hunt will stil be 5x3 ), I'm wondering if there is a new meta / standard people frequently use that produces a stable better outcome ( such as 4x3 with randumbs or 7x3 with good team or maybe even 10x3 with premade lol i dunno )

*Oh and I heard about flying and spider eidolons. Is that true ? If it is, I wonder what the meta is

    Thx

You're worried about not getting the Anasa sculptures for 15plat while you got a Legendary Core??? You can sell that for a minimum of 300plat!

Uhh people are trying  to sell it for 300 at minimum wich is totaly not wort it.

You need about 12 anasa to have enough endo to max a primed mod. And since you could buy an anasa for 15 plat, that means you will spend 180 platinum ( 240 platinum at worst if people want to sell it for 20 plat each )

And the 2 million credits needed to max a primed mod is also trivial ( not to mention you also need 1 mil credit to trade legendary core )

I think the legendary core's rarity is the problem. 0.18% drop rate per day for 41k endo and 2 mil credits discount ( at best ) is a ripoff

  4. Well me and most people i know used a 6 forma ( 7 with a riven ) pure radiation build for eidolon hunts

The mods are serration - split chamber - vigilante armanents - heavy caliber- point strike - vital sense - stormbringer - hellfire

Later you can replace one of those with a riven

Il try to post some answer for the question people frequently ask

    1. What is the point of this build ?

Is to increase the damage as high as possible in a single shot because the goal is to oneshot the eidolons limb ( and the eidolon itself at the final phase )

    2. Why put multishot? Doesn't that will make the shots miss ?

Well, multishot does make the bullet spread. But if you zoom in, the spread is so little that all the bullet could still hit a kuaka

    3. Why 90% element instead of element + status mod ?

    Eidolons are immune to status

    4. Why radiation ?

Because their armor type is weakest to radiation ( 75% damage increase )

    5. Does crit matter ?

Yes, very. If fully zoomed, you will get 50% crit chance boost, and with harrows buff you are guaranteed to deal red crits everytime you shoot, strong enough to kill / capture the eidolon in one blow if you play the dps role

    6. Why no vile acceleration or fire rate mod ? Doesn't lanka have a long charge time ?

Useless mod for eidolon hunt, you only need to shoot once before a long break ( the eidolon screaming and such ). And you can hold the charge to take aim while your team depletes the eidolon' shield

No one runs that either because no one aims for the head during 4x3.

    Oh really?

Then explain why everybody is shooting harry and garry's head when they just spawned in the river so you can deplete their shield and destroy their limb as soon as they show themselves. If you insisting on waiting for them to walk and shoot their knees, you will waste a massive amount of time

  6. first of all, no, you don't need amp arcanes to do even a 5x3 cap but it will surely help the hunt

And I suspect your friend can't 5-shot the eidolons shield because

    1. he / she use the amp's primary fire, always use 223's secondary fire

    2. he / she shoots from a bad position, many newcomers shooting 223's secondary fire too far from the eidolon or shooting it from a wrong angle. You should stand under her crotch and blasted it from below ( while volt's shield is ideally facing upwards )

    3. 16 stack is too low to oneshot an eidolons shield, most squad usually got to the plains around 10 minutes to charge their VS, resulting in 40+ VS

    4. the volt player only put 1 shield. Since the damage gained from the shield stacked, it is better to put more than 1 shield unless your VS is high enough to oneshot the eidolons shield with only 1 of volt's shield

    5. Unairu's wisp doubles your operators damage. Meaning that 40 VS charge will result in 80 VS charge!. Thats huge

    6. if your friend has 50 VS stack, shooting from volt's shield from the right angle, grabbing unairu's wisp and have an amp arcane, it will definitely oneshot the shield. And with a good chroma, you can literally destroy a limb less in 2 seconds.

Should you take turns in using VS ? If your squad has time to charge it beforehand, then yes.

The order is usually Volt - Harrow - Trin. Volt and harrow's turn is interchangeable, but for convenience sake ( and to avoid 2 player wasting their VS obviously ) just use the order above

Why is trin the last ? because you need to shoot atleast 7 times as trin to get the lures, making all the VS you charged up wasted

But then, how about the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th round where we don't have time to charge VS ? Thats right, you don't have the luxury to charge VS until 40+ stack after the first round, thats why all three player beside chroma shoots simultaneously to bring down the eidolons shield. The chroma guy will spawn unairu's wisp that will slide to the eidolons feet ( don't forget to grab it! i will double your operator's damage ) and people charge VS whenever they can, such as after breaking the limb or when the eidolons is screaming for the vom's aid, remeber that if you managed to get 5 stack, it will becoma 10 stack with unairu's wisp

  7. I bet the secret project is making golden omega bulky lotus kubrow wich you want to sell for 600 plat

Your kubrow DNA imprint passes down his / her pattern, color, and type ( like sahasa, sunika, etc ) The height and size is random iirc

Thats pretty much it, if you got lotus imprint and golden imprint, just mix em in and hope for the best

  8. Stealth : any invis frame such as loki, ash, ivara would do

Defending : Frost, limbo is the most common choice for this kind of mission

For hijack, use frame with high amount of shield, you can use nidus because it drains his health so that you don't need to worry about your shield depleted. Arcane guardian and barrier also makes this mission trivial ( the enemy's attack will instead restore your shield lol )

For defection or rescue people usually use trin for her heal and 75% damage reduction

For AoE frame people usually use  Ember ( for low level ), Saryn, Equinox, Volt

It is honestly worth just learning to do eidolon hunts well, it doesn't require a massive amount of gear and isn't hard to get into. 3 months ago, I had never done a hunt, now I do 5x3s per night and earn 1 million focus in those 50 minutes. And it's not capped like the daily focus cap is. So do 3 cetus nights of hunts and that's 3 million focus in 1 day's play. And on top of that you get arcane rewards.

This, the time and resource spent to gear up for ESO is better allocated to eidolon hunts if focus is your main goal ( and i personally feel ESO is boring AF when you and your mates just stand still in the center and saryn / volt / equinox spams 4 )

You will eventually competent enough to capture 15 or 18 eidolon in one night cycle, not to mention you could get a few hundred plat if you got good arcanes, not bad for some pocket money

getting two of, say, damage, multishot, and crit damage (supposing there's nothing crippling added in) can make the mod sell for a great deal, or be used to hunt Eidolons yourself.

Lol grtting 2 good stat on lanka only net you around 1000 - 1,500 plat. If you want to make some big plat you should focus to get a godlike lanka ( top 3 most desireable stat + 1 negative ). You could sell those mods for 5000 plat or even more instead of only getting around 1000

    what are tricaps?

Tricap means three eidolon capture ( capturing teralyst spawns gantulyst, and capturing gantulyst spawns hydrolyst ). With some experience and gear check capturing all three eidolon 4 times in a single night cycle ( or 4×3 in recruitment chat ) should be very easy while you need to put some effort to do 5x3 and 6x3

Capturing eidolons gives you a big amount of focus. It shouldnt be hard to farm a few million focus once you start doing 4x3 or more ( since you need load of focus to max one skill and another 1 million focus to unbind it )

And those eidlons also drops arcanes wich you can sell for some plat. If you got lucky you might get arcane energize  ( sellable for 250 plat ) and arcane grace ( around 100 plat ). You can consider it as some pocket money (platinum ?)

  12. The fastest and most surefire way is to sell prime junks, you sell common parts ( worth 15 ducats ) that are easy to get for 10P. And after you gathered enough void traces, make or look for a radshare wich the rare relic part sold for a good amount of plat ( like the rhino prime BP )

Other way to make platinum quite fast is to farm corrupted mods that are on high demand like fleeting expertise, blind rage, transient fortitude, etc for 15-20 plat

That is the fastest and most realistic way to make fast and easy plats other methods like fishing or selling syndicate stuff is locked behind a time gate before you could unlock them and getting a jackpot riven such as god-tier lanka riven on first try ( wich you can sold for 5K platinum+ ) is near impossible

You can try to farm a full set of prime weapons or frames, but those will take some time and RNG
You can try to start playing with rivens, but those also needs a huge amount of luck and time if you really want to make big plats from those

I personally reccomend you to start gearing yourself towards eidolon hunts, the first steps ( gathering ostron standing for amps, fishing and roaming the plains for parts, playing on public with god-knows-what, etc will be full of chore and nerve wrecking, but it pays off really really well. Now with hundreds of hydro caps, I can easilly ask (or host ) to be invited to 4x3 or 5x4. And if im lucky, I will get arcane energize ( can be sold for 250P ) or arcane grace ( can be sold for 110P) and other arcanes like guardian or furry also sells for a good amount of plat. Not to mention those eidolons also could drop a rare mod you could sell for 15-20P

Not only that, because I also have max standing on the ostrons and quills, I also have acess to the most sought magus, virtuous, and exodia arcanes wich can be sold for 200 - 500P depending on what you build

You may also heard a person buying low and selling high, but from my personal experience, it is very time consuming thing to do and even if you got a profit from it, it won't be that much of a plat. You need an ignorant person to be ripped off

  13. The base weapon ( vectis ) is a good and popular weapon, so you can sell it unrolled for about 300 - 400

But the stat is bad, so you need to roll it if you want to get more plat selling it. A god-tier vectis riven can sold past 1K plat

The polarity doesn't really matter since people are going to put extra forma for it anyway

Some people may request the riven to be under specific MR so they can use it, but most don't

And the drain for riven is all the same so it is also doesn't matter

Trinity has the most difficult job as a Warframe, if you're using rhino over chroma, you may not go into operator mode often. While the base of her role is simple, it's not fun trying to regain energy if a harrow fails or if you miss a covenant cast, as well as it can make a run to south quick if you lose that ability to heal your crowd.

I disagree, I don't understand why people usually say trins job is the hardest. Her job is simply
    1. Get 7 lures before the teralyst entered the final phase ( and even if you only got like 5 or 6, you can get another at gantu healing phase ). you can also get 2 lures, park them to chroma, and get the other 5 lures ( so that you have more time )

    2. Keep the lures and your teammate alive by pressing 4 ( wich shouldn't be hard with 175% efficiency and 150% strength )

    3. And on higher level capture, use her VS to oneshot hydro's shield when harrow's VS is out

Chroma on the other hand, has a very demanding job. Why? because how fast he can fast charge the first lure and how fast he can destroy the limb will decide wether it will be 4x3 or 5x3. If your chroma needs like 2 minutes to charge the first lure and 6 seconds to destroy the limb, then it wont be a 5x3
