  1. From what I read on Ash's Blade Storm rework, with clones, it sounds very cool. How it is executed of course, is the question. Will your clones basically speed up the ult, as in Ash being so fast he can be "in multiple places at once", or does he actually spawn clones? I like the idea that he moves so fast that enemies and allies see him in multiple places at once, killing so fast it appears there are multiple Ashe's. I think this could be even cooler with multiple Ash warframes in a party, in a survival mission. Man all the Ashe warframes, but anyways.

How would the camera work? Right now it's so spazzy that it gives me a headache. Could the camera get more of an omnicient point of view, seing multiple executions at once? Or even perhaps a zoomed out perspective? I think the camera rework will affect how popular this rework is, because the current camera implementation is really over the top and hard to enjoy.

Hopefully Nova doesn't get rework-nerfed into the floor. Her ult has some awesome utility and damage, and I wouldn't mind if they nerfed either the damage or the slowing/armor reducing crowd control. I just hope that both aspects aren't nerfed, because then it becomes a weak skill instead of a balanced rework.

As for the toggle skills, that seems very interesting. Perhaps power duration mods reduces the amount of energy tick per second, or perhaps increases the time between energy cost ticks, which would make sense with "duration" mods. I'll have to play with it when it gets released.

As for Trinity, well, I really like the energy vampire rework. Too often I would cast it and have to wait for it to be done to cash in on the energy. Perhaps the casting speed can be increased, so that I can use it a lot without taking a whole second to cast it on an enemy. Even more interesting would be to have it radiate damage based on the energy remaining, to encourage swiftly killing energy-infused targets, and giving Trinity a semi-offensive power. As for her ult, that seems balanced, but hopefully the crowd-control immunity remains. Reducing 90% damage doesn't matter if you just get magnetized by ancients or knocked down by Grineer Shield guys and MOAs.

Looking forward to the improvements/reworks coming into play. While I love new content, having the older content updated and revamped keeps this game exciting after playing for several hundred hours.

  2. Ok here goes.

    Name: Fuzer

Size/Physical Appearance: This infested of old would be in similiar size and stature to the leapers and runners. It would have a similiar appearance, although it would be a pitch black color with red flecks decorating it's body, similiar to lizards and reptiles. It would have thin arms and thin legs, and would be the height of the Ancients, or perhaps a little taller.

Behavior: Now this is where it gets interesting.

The fuzer on its own is fairly weak. Having such thin arms and thin legs it would move quickly but it would do very little damage. However in the presence of an enemy it will acquire two nearby infested of the same type, consume them, and add them to his body. For example, two nearby chargers would run toward the fuzer and he would drain their life force. It would give the Fuzer armored plates on his body, and buffed up arms and legs, and increase it's movement speed and attack speed. Below I listed several other iterations of this fuzion behavior, as the idea is it uses the "swarm" mentality, combining weaker infested to create a stronger one. The Fuzer would grow in size when it consumes two of its allies. It can only fuse once and with two allies that are the same.

2 Chargers = Changes name to Berserker. It would have armored plating all over its body which would be similiar to the Charger appearance. It would move faster and charge at its enemies, wrecking havok with strong melee attacks. It would have much higher armor ratings compared to the unfused version. This enemy would be extremely dangerous on its own or in a group with other Infested.

2 Leapers = Changes name to Splitter. The legs and arms would get much larger and more massive, and the texture of its body would become similiar  to leapers. It does not move faster, but instead engages its enemies with powerful long-ranged jumps. When it lands it creates a small shockwave, similiar to Shockwave Moas, but definetely not the same animation. This iteration is more of a support, as its damage is not as high as the Charger version, but the knockdown and knockback would give its allies plenty of time to rip you up.

2 Runners = Changes name to Sprinter. It would grow an additional two arms that would be bulked up and it would run extremely fast. The texturing would be similiar to the Runners currently in the game. It would run quickly at its enemies, much faster than Tenno can sprint on their own, and launch barrages of fast, multi hit attacks with its four arms. This enemy would be extremely dangerous if left to hit you, as its hits could quickly wear down your health and shields. It does not stun with its attacks though

2 Volatile Runners = Changes name to Gripper. Its midsection would grow in size and would form a mouth/tentacled area like an Ancient's face. The arms would be lengthened but not increased in density. It runs at its enemies and grabs them with its elongated arms and chest/mouth, preventing them from using melee or escaping. After a brief moment it would explode, dealing large damage to the gripped enemy and enemies around it. It would be very dangerous when paired with groups of other infested, as the large damage would leave a Warframe vulnerable to follow up attacks.

Crawlers will not be used as they are not really very strong. The Fuzer would use the typical enemies to become more powerful, not weaker.

2 Ancients = Changes name to Old One. This would be the ultimate iteration of the Fuzer, and would be less common to occur as it requires two ancients of the same type to be near the Fuzer at the same time. The Fuzer would grow 1 1/2 times its size and be considerably stronger, and would grow an additional pair of arms and legs. The arms would have tentacles on it similiar to the Ancients' faces, and would have considerable hitting range. Its four legs would allow it to sprint in bursts, like the current ancients. It would sprint at enemies and hit them multiple times with its arms. If it fuses with two healing ancients, it would emit mini healing pulses around itself, with smaller range but more frequency, making it a dangerous healer. If it fuses with two disruptors, its hits would not instantly drain shield, but instead drain energy with every hit. If it fuses with two toxic ancients it would gain poison tipped arms that deal direct health damage on hit, although this damage would be lower than the other iterations to prevent warframes from being one-shotted.

Core Topics: The idea behind this enemy is that it is supposed to be very dangerous. Most infested you can run up and slice up, without fear of dying for the most part. With this enemy, you would want to kill him before he fuzes with other enemies, and if he hits the fuzion stage he would become incredibly powerful. Killing him would be best done at a distance, and for the first time, you will run away from an Infested enemy. His experience would reflect the dangerousness of his power, so he would give lots of experience when he is fuzed. It also gives a lot of different enemy types for DE to play with, instead of just one. The customization allows a lot of flexibility.

  3. I think that Snow Globe using Frost's armor rating would be great. For the timer removal, I think it would only work if you limited the number of persistant globes to be one per player. Having something like snow globe have an infinite duration is fine, so long as there is only one. I don't want my bullets being blocked by spammed globes.

  4. I listened to the clip and it sounded fantastic. Dark, war-like, and foreboding, just like the Grineer are themselves. I look forward to hearing it implemented in the game, as well as the other music themes for the other races.

  5. I agree with you Galilann. For me, PvP should remain a completely seperate mode with no impact on the storyline or PvE aspects of Warframe. It would be more of a "service" offered by the game, where should you feel like playing a multiplayer shooter, you would jump on Warframe instead of say Call of Duty or Titanfall.

  6. The idea of this message is it is a letter sent from my Tenno to the Lotus directly. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed making it.

    Lotus,

I have long been a loyal servant to the Tenno cause. I pride myself in dedicating many hours to serve our cause. I do what needs to be done to maintain balance in the galaxy.

    XdoAyUD.jpg

    Yet all is not right.

    What is happening is unacceptable.

As long as I have been a Tenno I have known one thing; balance is key. Our purpose is to maintain balance and peace in the galaxy. That is my purpose. That is your purpose. You guide the way to this balance. However, the tides have clearly shifted, and it started long ago with the Gradivus Dilemma. The majority of the Tenno chose to rescue our brothers, and in doing so aided the Grineer in acquiring Corpus technology for themselves. Sargus Ruk is proof.

The problem lies not in this outcome, but what followed. As various invasions continued across the system, you left it up to us to decide which side to support. This is not as it should be.

    s4UNWnK.jpg

These decisions made by my fellow Tenno are not driven by truth, or by the desire to achieve balance.

    They are driven by greed.

They choose to support whoever provides the best reward; the best technology. They then use that technology to better themselves. Yet, is that our purpose? To be the strongest in the galaxy? Or to keep the galaxy in harmony?

    4Wgp9P2.jpg

As the leader of the Tenno it is your duty to drive us in the right direction. To push us to achieve what is best not for ourselves, but for the universe. Yet you remain silent and say nothing of the matter!

The Grineer have taken over nearly everything! And you think they will stop there!?

They will attack us when they are done!

You insult me! You are not fit to lead me! Where is your leadership? There is no balance!

This is not the end. The Corpus are running out of options. Do you think they will let themselves be killed? They will flee and return when they are strengthened! And where will they flee! It is very clear!

They will seek the Void's power for themselves! As weak and decimated as they are, they will seek to harness the Void's power and use it as a weapon to destroy the Grineer. And they will succeed!!

It is evident by the versatile Fusion MOA. They have harnessed Void technology before; they will do it again, only this time, on a massive race-changing scale.

    ya7oI5u.jpg

    They will return.

They wipe the Grineer from the galaxy.

They will wipe us from the galaxy.

You must stop the Tenno. You must convince them to wipe the Grineer from the Corpus planets to restore balance. If you do not, me and a few of my brothers loyal to the cause will leave this place and seek to harness the power of the Void for ourselves, and we will return.

    F8Gf1zt.jpg

We will restore balance. Even if that means slaying Tenno that get in our way.

**There are exactly 500 words, and it starts with "Lotus," and end with "Tenno that get in our way."

  7. Just to make sure, PvP is definetely a secondary thing. Note that this is simply my idea of what PvP should be in Warframe: a fun game setting. It would be played to just go and have fun, shoot some fools, and perhaps enjoy more of the acrobatics and movement of Warframe. I believe this game should stay focused on PvE, but should they try in some way to improve PvP I think they should revamp the system to look like this one. While it wouldn't enhance the story in any way, it would add another aspect to the game that could potentially draw a different crowd, although that could be argued as both a good and bad thing.

  8. Hey everyone! As you know, there is a lot of discussion about PvP in Warframe. A small base of the community, at least to my understanding, wants increased PvP play, while most of the players prefer the game be solely a PvE game. I believe that Warframe does not need PvP to be a great game, but it is nice that DE added conclave areas to battle. However, there are several problems with the current system:

    1. It's all about your weapons and mods. If you don't have the best weapons and mods, you get owned. Simple as that.

    2. Not all warframes are usable. Many of the warframe abilities are worthless and don't do anything, and you end up choosing warframes that have the most survivability or the most utility/mobility

For me, when I think of PvP for Warframe, I really think about Unreal Tournament. I'm not talking about the new ones, which aren't very good, but the 2004 version. For those of you who have played it, you know exactly what I'm talking about, and those about you who haven't, go read about it first before continuing. Many of the concepts I'll be describing come from that game.

    Unreal_Tournament_2004_%28UT2004%29.jpg

    Balancing and Weaponry

First off, let's talk about balancing. Currently it's all about the biggest and most bad-&#! weapons and mods you have. However, in this new PvP mode everyone would start with the SAME WEAPONS. Everyone would spawn with the same weapons, such as the Braton, Lato, and Skana (just an example), and would have to battle it out with the same load out. This removes any advantage to players who have the "best stuff" and gives it the players with the "most skill". The gameplay would be focused around mobility and gunplay/melee assassinations, which I'll get to in a moment.

    Warframes

As for Warframes, I believe they should be purely cosmetic. Many of you would argue, hey, I want to use my ablitites during PvP. I ask you this: is it really rewarding? Most abilities have had their actual effects changed, and it limits your warframe choice. As such, I believe PvP should have NO ABLITIES OR POWERS, and all warframes will just be cosmetic touches. If the Stalker is immune to all abilities, then this new PvP should be similar. This shifts the gameplay from what you have, to how good of a player you are. Everyone would have the same health, shield, stamina, and movement speed, so as to keep it balanced. It would focus completely on player skill and not on what warframe you have chosen.

    Melee

As for melee, it's really weak right now, and I know that. Perhaps Melee 2.0, whenever that is, will make it much more viable. But what would be interesting is if you could assassinate other players from behind, resulting in a custom animation and an instant death for the assinated player. Halo Reach had excellent assassination animations, and would change depending on what angle you killed them from or what enemy type you assinated. Below is an example GIF of a Spartan assassinating a Jackal.

    gallery_15_4_1908483.gif

This would add a little bit of sneaking to the otherwise high paced shooting and moving. If someone was sniping from a roof, say good-guy Rhino, you could sneak up behind him and stick him like a pig. That would be interesting and rewarding. :D

    Weapon/Health spawns and pick-ups

In Unreal Tournament, even though everyone spawned with the same weapons, you could pick up weapons on the map that had spawn points. Most of them could be picked up by anyone and everyone, and would not deplete if someone picked it up. Since Warframe only allows for a single primary and a single secondary, you would essentially "trade" your weapon for the one located on the ground. This could be great for team fights. For example, let's say it's 8 on 8 team deathmatch. When you spawn, you see there is a Soma and a Tigris. You and your buddy pick up the Tigris, because you like to run in like a bunch of bad-asses, and the rest of your team gets Somas. As you engage the enemy team, you notice that they all have Somas, so standing out in the open is a VERY bad idea. So you and your friend go into the buildings and make your way to the enemy while hidden from the open field where the rest of your team is duking it out with the enemy. As you emerge, you notice you are VERY close to the enemy team, and you and your friend start smoking some fools because of the superior firepower of the Tigris at close range. Wow, what good fun.

Note that weapons will be good in different situations. Bows would act like snipers, resulting in a kill with a head shot or 2 arrows to the chest (if they don't regen their shields), but balancing of weapon power will be up to DE. The same thing would apply to sidearms. Maybe I like the accuracy of the Lex, so in a tight spot my accurate shooting will save my life. Or perhaps I prefer the spray-and-pray, so my dual vipers will shred at close range. Or perhaps you are a gunslinger, so the Dual Vastos are best. All weapons would be picked up from the map, so there is no advantage at the start of the game.

Ammo would be on the map, and would vary with your weapon type. Sniper ammo would be the least plentiful, followed by shotgun ammo, and rifle/pistol ammo. We wouldn't want a sniper just killing everyone with unlimited bullets now would we?

Now, in Unreal Tournament, there were Heavy Weapons that you could pick up. Only one could be picked up, and it had 1 bullet, but resulted in massive casualties on both teams. I think the Ogris and Penta would fit this category. Whoever finds the weapon and uses it can change the tide of battle, both for or against their team. No weapon ammo for these guns, and only a single person can pick up the weapon before it goes on a "timer" before respawning.

    Gameplay/Gametypes

There would be different gametypes available. Some of the ideas I think would be good include:

    -Team Deathmatch

-Free For All (no teams deathmatch)

-Melee Deathmatch (just melee weapons, go hack and slash your enemies, assassinate like a boss)

    -Capture the Flag

-King of the Hill (similar to the point game mode on Earth, but just a single point, and teams have to hold the point to get points)

    -Black Hawk Down/Survival

For the last game type, it would be a few players, say 3 or 4, who fight against everyone else, say 12 other players. The 4 players would have superior weapons and could pick up ammo off of slain enemies. The other 12 players would have to use the spawned load out and wouldn't be able to pick up any weapons, but there is strength in numbers! Tactical positioning and teamwork would be essential for the final 4, and the goal would be for the 4 to survive for a given time, say 1 minute, to wait for extraction. Victory is achieved if at least one of the players survives, and defeat if they are all slain. It would be a lot of fun, I think, to be a survivor, but it would also be fun to be a grunt charging in like a boss with 10 other of your buddies.

Overall this PvP style revolves on gameplay, skill, and teamwork, instead of weaponry that you've already acquired, mods, and the best warframe abilities. Let me know what you guys think and if you have any ideas to what I've already posted. I look forward to your feedback. :D

  9. Alright sweet these weapons look really nice. I particularly like the 1st one too, as a blocking weapon adds a whole lot of possibilities if it can be executed right. With a weapon which allows a shield charge, who says that future weapons can't have similiar combos? I also like the idea of a punching slash-type weapon like the 2nd one, because the only punching weapons available have impact, and punching robots is difficult as it is. I want to slice and dice those infested and grineer with my blade hands of death, so I look forward to what the development team comes up with.

I hope you guys do this again some time in the future. I have an idea for a new weapon too, but by the time I realized there was a submission option it was too late.

  10. I have a few questions, and mine will focus on the event.

    1. How did you think the event went, in terms of the number of players supporting each faction? Did you expect the Grineer to win? Do you think that when you expressed your support for the Grineer in the last stream, that this affected the actual event results, with the Grineer winning more nodes?

    2. Will Corpus players be able to recieve some form of unique reward for fighting with the Corpus besides a badge? Personally it was quite clear that the Corpus were going to lose, so I could have switched over to Grineer just to get the reward at the end (weapon, slot, and catalyst), but I hoped that maybe something special and unmentioned would come my way for continuing to stay true to my Corpus support. Would this be possible, or is it something completely out of the question?

    3. I don't expect to understand how the hackers got in, but have you been able to fully prevent that from happening again? What exactly did the hack do?

    4. While invasion was fun, doing it 100 times was a little excessive, especially since it was the same thing everytime. In future invasions, is it possible to combine different mission types to allow for variety? For example, in the 5 mission count, you incorporate other mission objectives into it, such as capturing a target while the fight rages between the two factions, or trying to lay low and gather intel (spy) whie the Grineer and Corpus are shooting each other?

I hope that some of these questions will be chosen. I may not be able to watch the livestream live, but I've watched all of them so far (including the art one) and I learned a lot about the game and it's mechanics, and appreciate it a lot.

  11. Also as a side note, this should not be allowed to be used on mods that already have dual function like nightmare mods and corrupted mods. This way it is still infinitely useful but not absolutely broken.

Thanks for replying, and I agree. I just really liked the name of Shredding Speed Trigger, but the idea of not allowing Nightmare (or Corrupted Mods) to be combined would help to balance it out, since they both have dual stats, although the Corrupted Mods have a negative dual stat.

  12. Me and a clanmate were talking, and we talked about this concept. What if you could combine two mods into one, to get both stats at the cost of one mod? Similiar to a nightmare mod, this new combined mod would have the stats of both mods used in the combination process. This is not FUSION or TRANSFUSION, but a new way of using mods. Below is a breakdown of the concept.

    MOD COMBINATION

    Process

Takes 2 maxed mods and combines them into a single mod which applies both stats to the mod. This new mod would have an equivalent point cost of 75% of the added mod cost. The mod would be renamed to reflect the two effects in the mod. The polarity would be dependent on the mod with the higher point cost.

    Examples

    Rifle Combined Mod

-Combine Maxed Serration (+165% Rifle Damage, 14 points, Attack polarity) + Maxed Piercing Hit (+90% Piercing Damage, 9 points, Tactic polarity) to get the mod below

    Piercing Serration

Polarity = Attack (since Serration costs more points than Piercing Hit)

Stats = +165% Rifle Damge, +90% Piercing Damage

    Mod Cost = 75% of the combined cost = 75% of 23 points = 17.25 points --> 17 points

    Shotgun Combined Mod

-Combine Maxed Blunderbuss (+90% Crit Chance, 9 points, Attack Polarity) + Maxed Ravage (+60% crit damage, 9 points, Attack Polarity) to get the mod below

    Ravaging Blunderbuss

Polarity = Attack (both combined mods are Attack polarity)

Stats = +90% Critical Chance, +60% Critical Damage

    Mod Cost = 75% of combined cost = 75% of 18 = 13.5 points --> 14 points

    Rifle Combined Mod

-Combine Maxed Shred (+30% Fire Rate & +1.2M puncture, 11 points, Attack Polarity) + Maxed Speed Trigger (+60% Fire Rate, 9 points, Attack Polarity) to get the mod below

    Shredding Speed Trigger

Polarity = Attack (both combined mods are Attack polarity)

    Stats = +90% Fire Rate, +1.2M Puncture

    Mod Cost = 75% of combined cost = 75% of 20 = 15 points exactly

    Pistol Combined Mod

-Combine Maxed Steady Hands (-60% Recoil, 9 points, Tactic polarity) + Maxed Quickdraw (+48% Reload Speed, 7 points, Tactic polarity) to get the mod below

    Steady Quickdraw

Polarity = Tactic (both combined mods are Tactic polarity)

    Stats = -60% Recoil, +48% Reload Speed

    Mod Cost = 75% of combined cost = 75% of 16 points = 12 points exactly

    Warframe Combined Mod

-Combine Maxed Fast Redirection (+440% Shield Capacity, 14 points, Defense polarity) + Maxed Fast Deflection (+90% Shield Recharge, 9 points, Defense polarity) to get the mod below

    Deflecting Redirection

Polarity = Defense (both combined mods are Defense polarity)

Stats = +440% Shield Capacity, +90% Shield Recharge

    Mod Cost = 75% of combined cost = 75% of 23 = 17.25 points --> 17 points

    Details

The idea is that a player can combine any two mods, regardless of polarity or cost, to create a dual stat mod that would take up only 1 mod slot and have a 25% reduction to the mod cost. As long as the two mods apply to the same object (melee and melee, warframe and warframe, aura and aura, etc), then the mods could be combined. However the main restriction is that the mods must be MAXED and both mods are consumed into the mod in the combination process

    Restrictions

While any mods can be combined, you can still only have ONE MOD OF THAT TYPE EQUIPPED. For example, if I have Piercing Serration(+piercing dmg, +rifle dmg) and Serrating Chamber (+rifle dmg, +multishot), I can only equip ONE OF THEM, as both have the Serration mod included. These new combined mods cannot be fuzed, upgraded, transfused, combined again, or SOLD. The idea is that this is the highest tier a mod can acheive, and when you spend the money to combine them, you aren't going to want to sell them either.

    Cost

I wasn't really sure on what it was going to cost to combine them, as it is going to take a lot just to max each of the two mods. However, all mod interactions require credits, so ideally combining two maxed mods would require credits as well. I think the cost should be reflected by the rarity of the mods being combined as well as the point cost of the combined mods, but if DE likes this idea I'm sure they could figure it out.

    Addition Thoughts

The idea behind this is to bring more dynamic customization of a weapon and its mods. While the forma do add polarity, currently you just add more and more damage to your weapon, since you only have 8 slots. However, by introducting Mod Combination you add a lot of late game customization and potential to your mod builds. Mods that are normally ignored, such as Fast Hands and Magazine Warp, now can be combined for 1 ultimate utility mod. Want Fire Speed and Reload Speed for your rifle? Combine them to get Speedy Hands. Want more armor and health for your warframe? Combine them to get Steel Vitality. The posibilities are endless and it brings all kinds of late game combinations for us as players to toy with.

Please comment on the forum. Post ideas, thoughts, opinions, but try to post things that are constructive so that we might possibly get DE's attention. If you have a criticism please post away, but try to explain your thinking. I hope you guys like this idea as much as me! :D
