this gave me an idea.... we dont really have any Orokin archwing related missions... imagine reaching orokin space stations that where blown up so youre flying through all the debree and you find an intact orokin vault in outer space that you have to open... 😧

unmodded max ammo is 10 missiles, 3 seconds until it recharges to full (30 missiles in atmosphere 10 clip, 20 reserve)
Missile launcher Dumb fires a single missile that flies in a straight line without a lock-on
aiming allows it to Lock-on to enemy targets (1 second delay per lock on, affected by fire rate mods. automatic trigger at max rank would reduce lock-on intervals down to 0.4 per lock)
highlights the target when locked on
Can lock-on to multiple targets at once (will keep locking on to targets until it reaches maximum ammo capacity)
Can lock-on to the same target up to 50% of the ammount of missiles available if no other targets are presentmissiles do blast damage with high area of effect
Weapon has very low critical chance, High Status chance
missiles launch at a 0.25 sec interval when locked on, 2 seconds if dumb fired (not affected by fire rate mods)
has 500 meter lock on range, missiles will travel 500 meters before it stops tracking its target and becomes a dud

i just got back to the game after maybe.... two years ? and i havent done anything on both open world areas.... what should i do first if im looking to have archwing weapons in open world ?

unless the lotus sends you there because there was a beacon going off with a message saying there is a cephalon somewhere there that needs help, or a tenno that managed to hide all this years... or even going as far as hearing about a threat soo big that it is a risk to the entire galaxy that eris must be either destroyed or the threath dealt with... and to add a bit more to my imagination roller coaster, even a fomorian couldnt deal with it so we have to infiltrate ... just one of the few scenarios i could think off in a few minutes time

this sounds like its in an enclosed area with no progression, just like conclave.... would have liked for be the stalker to be more Souls like where you can invade someone in the middle of their game play haha

everyone knows Eris is purely infested but... why is it always corpus and grineer infested ships ? we dont actually get to see the surface of eris... just imagine the possibilities on an infested landscape...

So the clan i'm in had an idea the other day and discussed it ... we all agreed that its an idea worth trying to spread... It could improve on the archwing game type
one thing ive seen a lot of people complain about is that they can never land their shots (Imperator) on moving targets due to them being too small in the distance and getting confused with the gun's visuals (the gun is hitscan but you still see bullets flying out there by confusing some into leading the bullets to no effect)
both the weapon aspects and the idea will be explained below...What if our Archwings had Targeting systems to choose from for each situation or preference... and this also affected how our archwings behave ? ill give an example....
ill use CTS for short (combat targeting system)
--Long range CTS - Ideal for sniper weapons, Long range CTS ,500 Meters minimum range, Takes 3 seconds to lock on to target, Power usage - high, reduces movement speed while using thrusters, using thrusters consumes stamina at double the rate
--Close range CTS - Ideal for melee weapons or shotgun types , Short range CTS ,no minimum range, Does not lock on to targets further than 150 meters, instant lock on to target (melee can dash this distance if locked on) Power usage low - movement is unaffected , consumes half the normal use of stamina while boosting--Medium range CTS - Ideal for most weapons , Medium range ,150 Meters minimum range, does not lock on to targets further than 350 meters, Takes one second to Lock on to target
Power usage - balanced, movement speed is unaffected
The CTS would work sort of like an aura mod for archwings, i say sort of because its not an aura, but it would have its own mod space to be able to only equip one CTS at a timeThe reason for CTS is simply to provide balance for weapons... there would be almost no reason for a sniper class weapon in archwing if you couldnt land a shot or if it had no draw backs while having a massive punch on all ranges, melee is fine but the Flak cannon has almost no use...
another reason for this is to give us the choice of personalizing our Archwings to our likings ...
Yet another reason for this... it allows for PvP... by weapons having minimum and maximum ranges with both pros and cons... even with auto-lock, there is skill involved more than anything for this reason
Sniper have massive range and damage at the cost of speed
assault types have both speed and damage to an extent
Close range types have massive movement speed at the cost of having almost no rangeeach type can counter each other this way

i was thinking a missile thing would be cool, but then we already have the odonates 3rd ability which actively seeks out enemies as well. though it would be cool and should ( imho ) have been the elytrons weapon, a missile launcher esque thing
elytron needs something more.. it feels like it lacks fire power to me for some reason... i might just be modding it wrong who knows...

with CTS logic we could even make a missile type weapon that you can lock on to multiple targets without losing the lock on on the first targets until say.... 5 targets have been locked on then unleash the missiles to search after them...
another one my clan had was the idea of Forsaking the primary weapon for another melee... basically dual archwing melee (obviously both being used at once not that you switch between them )

Pretty much this. This is an all out assault on solo players, just like anti pvpers bash the hell out of pvpers on these forums... Either actually give valid points that support your view in a none aggressive way or gtfo and stop trying to bash us

and I got the idea from a game called Armored core, not to mention that if you even read both of the posts, the weapons dont even behave the same, considering that post which i just now noticed is yours, you have some sort of giga missile thing going on, while i have a bunch of small missiles that lock on to multiple targets at once for a missile carnival of sorts or a single target with multiple lock ons. So no, it is not a duplicate
