  1. Anyone played AVP2 or any game allowing you to be the predator?
    They had special vision modes highlighting enemies or the environment. as space ninja tenno remind me of hunters i think this would be a pretty cool feature to implement as a helmet attachment in 4 options:

    3 modes to enhance the visual presence and track one of each of the factions. and 1 that lowers the enemy visibility but works more like a navigation mode/loot vision mode.

     

    with the faction specific modes, it could be cool to implement weapons that require one of these modes to have a projectile hunt down a target.

    and if there was a higher chance of multi faction missions occurring, it could lead to some interesting situations.

     

    thoughts?

  2. 1. Spears seem a little to medieval and don't fit the theme of the game imo. Unless DE finds a way to.

     

    2. Neat, also think its been suggested a few times before

    4. Maybe have it like the grineer scorpions. Using the whip to down enemies, bring them close, and then stab them lol .

    although 1&3 do seem medieval at first glance, remember the predator from other game series, a hunter who uses these weapons in a SCI-FI game to be quiet and deadly. like my suggestion to modernise them in idea #3 with small cutting lasers being projected to replace the metal spikes in the head of the weapon, a spear could have a laser cutting edge on it like some other melee weapons in game.

     

    on your point #4: that is actually a really good idea and i cant believe that i didnt think of it.... to expand on the idea i think that would be the weapon's charged attack, or a 10% chance in the standard attack to pull an enemy. the charge could be a sweep or loud cracking noise that stuns?

  3. I think that the tenno would really appreciate a few (new and unlike anything else available) melee weapons.

    1: functioning like a spear, its rapid click attacks are stabbing and its charged is a throw to impale enemies, the spear will be retrievable by picking it up from the body. this will be great for stealth solo players who love to sneak around and take their time instead of rushing in guns blazing, kind of like predator in AVP2 video game.

     

    2: a smaller dual version of something like the update 10 KAMA, linked to chains for throwing around in groups of light armoured enemies, probably the longest reach of any melee weapon that is NOT thrown, chain length probably around the width of a standard hallway or just a bit more. sort of a space ninja version of kratos's blades.

     

    3: kind of medieval here, but a space ninja like morning star or flail could be really cool for those evil paint jobs. instead of the spikes being a metal, they could be super short range cutting lasers being projected out of the weapons head.

     

    4: a whip, low damage high rate of fire and decent chance to stun. this would be much fun!

    Yes... But i am talking about prone, not just weapon stability, also becoming less of a target when on the highground

  5. It wouldn't be a defense mechanism. Like I said, it makes you vulnerable, by slowing you down. Enemies can just spray you down from a distance, while you crawl to get control on a weapon that you can just go around and spray. It's totally useless in fast-paced combat.

    in a full team defence, i would normally snipe from high ground, if i could prone, i would get hit much less. i would use it for sure to better support a team as a support player

  6. this is true, but what is wrong with the option of it? and if more guns are added there has to be some variation eventually that could lead to wanting better control. and i do realise it would be a mainly defence mechanic

  7. I know it would only really be usefull in defence.... so let me make that clear.

    but i think the ability to have a toggle prone cmd would be really nice to lower profile as a target and increase accuracy slightly, even a crouch increase to accuracy, like alot of FPS games.

    not exactly sure how it would function with the 3rd person view giving some trouble to line of fire with the ground being in the way, or even if it would be an issue?

  8. How about instead of using mods to help us once we're down we focus on the mods that keep us from getting downed in the first place?

     

    Just sayin'.  Space is limited.

    yeah but it could be an interesting trade off and add some interesting play styles

    just seems like it would be warframe easy mode.

    dont really think that we need that honestly.

    could you imagine the rambies (rambo + bambie) then?

    yeah good point. but then would ppl just not revive rambies?

  10. Idea for 3 new warframe slot mods:

     

    1: A mod allowing you to use primary weapon in downed state.

     

    2: A mod that extends your 'revive me' period as you get kills in downed state.

     

    3: and a mod that after getting enough kills would revive you.

  11. I thought up this idea while I was downed in game and my Death Cube was hovering over my corpse shooting away helping out a clan mate who had already lost his shade.
    The idea is simply allowing a team mate to pick up a dead players sentinal to replace their own for the duration of the mission and gaining the down player a bit extra XP.

  12.     PvP takes place in a tiny room O__o this mod wouldn't effect it.

     

     

     

    As Kitty said, this mod would be useless in PVP, my idea is for a SCALED range damage increase so for those super long shots you get a damage boost reward, not up close. that is also why i made it a sniper/bow mod.

  13. So I LOVE sniping, (with snipers & bow), i mean proper sniping, where the enemy is so small and tiny. I wish there was a MOD rewarding snipers and bowmen for those long shots with extra damage: it would function as a scaling mod for bows/snipers only, to give increased damage over increasing distances, not only would this function as a nice reward for those who love sniping, but it would also give a bit more incentive to try diferent play styles.
