  1. I don't know about people claiming certain abilities don't work. Before you assume that's accurate, make sure you're host. If you're not, strangeness can occur and things may not count. This applies to all riven challenges, especially those on Plains. (Though, I've succeeded at the "Defense target takes no damage" by being a joiner in a squad where it very definitely did take damage. No detection challenge, as well.)

    Anyway...

    Methods I know work:

    • The "intended" method: Shoot the Dargyn while trying not to hit the pilot, shoot the pilot once he's falling. Best of luck. (I will refer to this below as "Method 1"/"first method".)
    • Nidus's 2, lifts enemies off the ground.
    • Ground pound with melee near the pilot to launch them into the air.
    • Nova's Molecular Prime (slow build, of course). Combine with first method.

Methods I've considered which would work quite well if they work, but have not tried:

    • Zephyr's Tornado
    • Exodia Epidemic
    • Rhino's Stomp (I may have tried and succeeded, but not sure. Low power strength or high level enemies.)
    • Limbo's Cataclysm (I may have tried, but not sure. You'll want low power strength or high level enemies, probably.) Combine with first method.
    • Inaros's Sandstorm
    • Hydroid's Tentacle Swarm
    • Nezha's Divine Spears (low power)
    • Titania's Spellbind (someone may have told me this does work.)
    • Mag's Magnetize (use first method and then snag with Magnetize. Not sure if this works. Took the idea from someone mentioning Magnetize above.)
    • Mag's Pull combined with Magnetize IF Pull snags pilot from Dargyn.
    • Trinity's Life Well
    • Khora's Strangle Dome
    • Hildryn's Aegis Storm
    • Mesa's Peacemaker - Similar to method 1, but reliable due to auto-aim.
    • Which made me think of Cyanex primary fire, so we'll throw that in.
    • Aaand Larkspur primary fire.

Methods I've considered which wouldn't work amazing, but if you have nothing else...:

    • Oberon's Reckoning
    • Frost's Globe (Not sure how well this would even work, but the idea is similar to Nova, slows their falling.)
    • Banshee's Sonic Boom to push them, possibly getting them in the air.
    • Mag's Pull to lift off ground. I think I remember seeing someone do this with some success.
    • Valkyr's Zipline
    • Harpak's alt-fire
    • Garuda's Blood Altar. I seriously doubt you can do anything with this.
    • Zephyr's Tail Wind if it knocks people into the air with the ground slam, and Air Burst says it sends enemies flying.
    • Sonicor
    • Vauban's Vortex (This one might be amazing... it depends on how it works.)
    • Nekros's Soul Punch (This probably won't work. It sends enemies flying too far and fast.)
    • Loki's Switch Teleport - Probably terrible idea. My thinking is that he can go up in the air and switch to get the enemy in the air.
    • Baruuk's 4. Would probably need low power strength. Depending on how it works, it might go in the category above.

Methods I had not considered but have been told work (the idea behind these two is that they first unseat and then kill the pilot. Power strength may matter):

    • Ember's World on Fire
    • Equinox's Maim

Method that I thought would work, but have been informed by two independent people that it does not:

    • Vauban's Bastille

I do not know that this is a comprehensive list. There are a couple of frames that I am not too familiar with, and I could easily have missed augments... and I may just not have thought of something.

    1. Seems ridiculous to prevent the usage of these letters in combination. (Yes, I know why. I still think it's ridiculous.)

  3. I tried to name my zaw as follows: "Z-kripshtuvartoja"

Why? Because it references all of the parts: plague KRIPath, SHTUng, VARgeet II(to) JAi

Only to find that you can't name a zaw that because it contains profanity. What profanity does it contain? If you read the title, perhaps you can already guess, but: "sht."

Not only does this mean you can't use any names which reference the "shtung" you also can't use any that combine those letters, and it's easy to come up with ones that would... "Vrashtorn" as an example.

    Two issues then:

    1. Seems ridiculous to prevent the usage of these letters in combination. (Yes, I know why. I still think it's ridiculous.)

    2. The game informs you that you "used profanity" but does not tell you what "profanity" you supposedly used, so it took me a while to solve this mystery. I was strongly suspecting that I had somehow sworn in a foreign tongue.

  4. In short, talk about how bad the moderation is, get yourself a suspension, thus demonstrating how bad the moderation is.

In addition, despite the fact that support claims that if I get a suspension, it will come with an explanation, I have not received an explanation on either of my accounts. On this account, I am now suspended for an unknown length of time from all access to all chats. I can talk to no one about anything via Warframe, and I cannot receive trade requests.

My other account is suspended from region chat, which isn't very inconvenient, but it is annoying, because again... all I did was criticize the moderation. If the moderators could justify their actions, then they could deal with criticism, but they can't, so they choose fascist censorship instead.

This is an ongoing issue. These people should not be making decisions that seriously impact the Warframe experience because they act like children with persecution complexes and/or children with white-knight complexes.

Followed by, of course, "Your access to in-game chat has been suspended." But not just region. Oh no. It's all chat.

Again, no contact from a moderator. No explanation. No "here's the rule you violated." They literally expect you to find out what's against the rules by trial and error, apparently. Well, cool, through experimentation, I now know it's against the rules to criticize moderators... Or do I? Maybe what I've learned is that it's against the rules to reference the Nezha meme in any way. Or maybe to ask about a word I've never heard before that resulted in someone else's two-week long ban.

I unfortunately did not have the foresight to screenshot what got me region-suspended on the other account. Frankly, I'm a bit grateful that this moderator gave me another chance to show this absolutely atrocious moderating behavior.

  5. This bug has been in the game for... I believe the entire year that I've been playing. I can't imagine you don't know about it and yet... it's unfixed.

If players stay in the Index for round 2 but the host leaves there is almost but not quite 100% chance that it will break the game, giving the players no way to interact with the game and causing them to need to force-close Warframe, losing their winnings from round 1 in the process.

In case it matters, the vast majority of my experience with Index is in High Risk. It's possible, though doubtful, that the lower tiers do not suffer from this bug.

You admitted in the previous, deleted thread that you did it intentionally.

Most of your feedback seems  good otherwise.  I have zero doubt that there are people who get hung with a chat ban that are genuinely innocent and don't mean to break any rules.

A distinction should be made between innocent intent and innocent messages. The message itself is innocent. As in, it's ridiculous to interpret the message as offensive. Also, to be clear, I did not say "I did it intentionally." Like, I wasn't trying to get banned. I was definitely referencing the meme with my message. I did not expect to actually get suspended for it. If I thought that would happen, I'd be less angry about it. My anger would be focused more directly at the stupidity of the system rather than the suspension itself.

I dont know how true this is since i am not American and dont really know the US Laws since they dont apply to me as i am living in Europe but apparently theres something called the "Gay panic defense Act" or "Trans Panic Defense Act" in the US Law.

Just an FYI, there is no law or act by this name according to my Google search. It has been attempted in court to make the case that the defendant was somehow justified in their actions by a "panic" over gay or trans people. Generally speaking, lawyers can make whatever ridiculous arguments they like to attempt to convince a jury to acquit their client. It has never led to complete acquittal, but apparently it has led to reduced charges in some cases.

Ah, I did find that it looks like there is a national law in the works to ban the use of such a defense.

As for states, some states have banned it, others have it on the table.

because whispering someone is a 2 way conversation, there's no bot moderating it. if you read something you don't like, you just ignore the person and move on. as for the removed access, it's solely to emphasize the severity of what you did and make sure you don't do it again, which some people do anyway. it's always been that way so you can say it's a relic of a stricter enforcement. plus, if you f*cked up in 1 chat, there's no guarantee you won't f*ck up in the others as a 'revenge' for getting banned

There's several problems with this. The first is that you aren't actually justifying the removal of access to the other chats. They can have their own ban system if they're really worried about that.

And they should never remove access to whispers, except maybe if they get a whole bunch of reports from users indicating offensive whispers, but, as you say, there's the ignore feature.

    58 minutes ago, GinKenshin said:

all of these 3 are spam and 'memes', but the words you tirggered are also considered offensive

But I didn't actually say anything offensive.

And the meme is not used offensively. I said both of these in my post.

    58 minutes ago, GinKenshin said:

you got banned, that's good enough of an indication as any

No it isn't. It may be fairly rare case, but it is possible for a player to, without any knowledge of memes or suspensions, say something that uses the word "Nezha" and "trap" in a sentence. He has two abilities that effectively trap enemies, ffs.

Support also claimed I should have received a notification, but I did not.

    58 minutes ago, GinKenshin said:

we'll never know now would we, maybe they lift the suspension and we just go back to spamming them like the lowlives we are? better safe than sorry I'd say

Nope, simply removing it would be perfectly sufficient.

    58 minutes ago, GinKenshin said:

you can contact support, but since it takes a while for someone to read it (because everyone is contacting support thinking they were innocent) it ends up much easier to just live with the ban for 7 days

Nope. Support will do nothing, which is why I said there's no recourse and no one to contact.

    58 minutes ago, GinKenshin said:

    it's only for a week, you'll live

It's for an entire goddamn week. That's so out of proportion. I take issue with that. You'll live.

    58 minutes ago, GinKenshin said:

they can't know there's a connection between different accounts, apart from IP address I guess. anyway, I don't see how this is a good 'evidence' for your case, just a thing to observe

This is a separate issue. Not sure why you thought it was "evidence" in quote marks. I'm providing feedback. If they think something warrants a suspension, then it should be applied to all accounts.

And yes, it's same IP and same Steam account.

    58 minutes ago, GinKenshin said:

this has been suggested hundreds of times. you're not the first and you won't be the last. 'constructive feedback; on this topic has been done and seen and things will not change. like I said, what you said had offensive words, thus it's a ban, while the others are just spam

Okay, well, I'm suggesting it again. Thanks for letting me know? I guess?

There were no offensive words. I know what you meant by that... but it's a meme. The meme is not malicious. And, as noted, what I actually said contained no offensive words by any stretch of the imagination.

    *sigh* Here goes...

The ye old nezha + trap debate. Look I know you might think your case is special, that your use is the right one and that you shouldn't be banned, yada yada yada. DE have said nezha+trap= ban in any scenario no mater what. Be it a meme be it a conversation. There is not telling if there is or isn't an ill intent behind the words. To the bot it just looks like you're trying to circumvent the filter and doing that is an even bigger no-no. You're lucky you got banned just from chat.

Keep the memes and controversial topics in private chats where kickbot can't get you. Enter the realm of region chat at your own risk. (one of the reasons I have the thing disabled since 2013)

I did not propose I had a special case.

The rest is addressed in my post. You have accurately and redundantly described the problem that I proposed should be fixed. Thank you.

Okay let me keep this real simple for you. The "case" is ...... because DE makes the rules and we either comply or get a ban. See, pretty simple.

Have fun and may RNG be forever in your favor.

Oh, okay. Cool. I guess if I have a problem with that, I'll post a thread in Feedback on the Warframe forums and explain why I find it unreasonable.

    Oh... wait...

Just because you don't like the response doesn't mean others can not make it.

You stated you had a "right". I disagree. The words you used have resulted in a ban for a very long time. Deal with it.

Have fun and may RNG be forever in your favor.

And as I said, there are numerous reasons they should not result in a suspension.

    Tradition is not a counter-argument.

Either present a case why it should result in a ban or you have nothing to contribute.

Firstly you have no "right" to be angry.

You broke the rules. You got a suspension. Learn your lesson and it is very very unlikely you will suspended in the future.

Your response is inaccurate and shows an utter failure to address the issues I raised or actual in-game message I posted. Please refrain from posting in a Feedback thread if you have no interest in contributing.

  12. I'm very, very angry. My anger is justified by the disproportionate response to something entirely innocent which I said in region chat. I have lost access to whispering with my friends or talking to my clan or anything else. However, despite my anger, I'm going to try to keep this as professional as possible to provide feedback regarding an issue in Warframe.

The following is not about me. The following is about an issue in Warframe for which I'm providing feedback in the feedback forums. I simply happen to be a convenient example.

I've been suspended from all Warframe chats for 5 days now. I cannot talk to anyone about anything with text in the game. This is a huge detriment to gameplay experience and it was caused by an entirely innocent phrase. The fact that this phrase resembles another phrase that DE doesn't want posted doesn't justify this. In fact, the suspension for that phrase isn't justified either.

    So, let's review the problems.

    1. If I said "Nezha trapped me in his flames" in a whisper, absolutely nothing happens. I know this because I did it. I did not lose all access to all chats in the game or anything else. This indicates a separation between the chat systems. One has to wonder, then, even if it were a warranted suspension, why saying it in region chat costs you access to whispers, an unrelated chat system. I imagine the same is true of clan chat and squad chat, regarding the ability to say that phrase without any repercussions. In addition, trade and recruiting chat exist for specific purposes. Region chat is the only general access casual chat system. So, suspension from these other two also seems inappropriate.

    2. If I said "f" or "OwO" in region chat, it would be immediately removed with no further consequences. Why is this the (much more reasonable) response to one meme, while a weeklong suspension (or maybe it's a two week. I don't know) is the response to another? That's an important point here. These are all memes. The "offensiveness" of the specific phrase is non-existent, the phrase only exists because it is a meme. No one using it is intending to offend anyone.

    3. I received no indication in-game, or out for that matter, which told me what I had done wrong. That's appropriate, since I didn't do anything wrong. Still, I would expect to receive some notification in a professionally-run game.

    4. The fact that the other phrase causes suspensions is probably a large part of the reason the community is still fascinated with it.

    5. There is no recourse to the suspension, no one reviewing this automatic suspension and going "oh, wait, that's not offensive, I should reverse that." The player can't contact anyone to get it reversed.

    6. Where in the TOS does it state that using the words "Nezha" and "trap" in the same sentence will result in a chat suspension? I'll be honest, I haven't checked, and yet I am absolutely certain it's not there. So, I did not violate any rules, but got a week-long suspension anyway.

    7. By removing access to trade chat and to whispers, you have removed my access to trading. This means I cannot buy or sell things from other players. I do that a lot. A large part of my plat is used in the in-game market. Now, I personally have only ever purchased plat from you once. However, that plat is coming from somewhere. That suggests to me that you have actually reduced the profit in your own game.

    8. My other account did not lose chat access. While I am certainly not encouraging you to suspend that account, I do find this to be yet another odd split in your enforcement protocols. You ban one account from all chats because of something they said in one chat that is unrelated to the other chats, but let the other account talk to whomever they want, including region chat.

    9. A new player can encounter this suspension without any warning, either by incidentally using the word "Nezha" and the word "trap" in a sentence, or by being baited into it by someone else in chat.

    10. The loss of access to squad chat negatively affects both me and the people I play with in public games. They don't know I can't see chat. If they try to communicate something about the mission to me, they're out of luck.

    My recommendation:

    1. Change the bot's settings so that it removes the message if someone uses "Nezha" and "trap" in a sentence... and that's it. It's a meme. Treat it like you treat the other memes "f" and "OwO."

    2. Have someone review automatic suspensions. Preferably hourly, but at least daily.

    3. Allow players to contact someone with the power to do something about suspensions.

Separate, but also feedback: If you find someone has violated a chat rule that warrants a suspension, suspend their other accounts, unless you have a good reason for not doing that.

    lzyJyxn.png

My original post regarding this appears to have gone missing. However, this is legitimate feedback about a real issue affecting Warframe. It is therefore entirely appropriate for it to posted here for someone to deal with.

  13. It's possible to get stuck in a reset loop, where the game keeps trying to reset you to a safe location, but you immediately fall or otherwise get moved into the same unsafe location where you get reset.
I just "failed" a mission for this reason.
/unstuck has no effect on these reset loops.
While fixing the bug itself might be difficult, I believe making /unstuck fix it would be relatively trivial.
