[Failed to connect to chat server]

Starting around a couple of days ago, my chat started showing up as "failed to connect to chat server" with a loading icon in the top left of the chat box(as show in the image at the bottom of this post). Even when fully restarting my switch, the issue is still present and as far I am aware...I have no chat ban in place, and waiting several minutes does not resolve the issue, instead I just get "failed to reconnect" messages over and over again,. Also, analyzing the network in the option menu returns that all systems are normal. It's quite annoying not being able to read chats, and is annoying to setup trades with this ongoing issue.
