If you have 2 precepts on a smeeta, it will either cast Mischief or Charm (50/50 chance) Usually the reason to take a smeeta out for missions is for the additional loot (or the non-loot related bonuses like energy, extra crit chance, instant reload, etc). With that said, putting Mischief on takes away more chances for the Charm to cast (the big reason to take the smeeta in the first place). For me, I run Link Armor, Link Health, and Medi-Pet Kit for the additional survivability. There is also Pack Leader that can help heal your smeeta if you find yourself surrounded by enemies.
I will reword this for better clarification, seeing how it can be confusing.

Thanks for pointing that out! This one snuck by me in an update patch while I was working on the guide (took me at least 3 months to compile all my research and put into the guide). I did change the image to reflect the update and I'll have to take it out on a few missions once I finish forma'ing the prime a few times 🙂

Just wanted to say thank you on pointing out those parts! At some point or another, I was getting confused with all of my notes on the numerous post-its of what went to who 🙂 I do have a few instances where the Sahasa didn't want to dig anything up that I needed (mostly energy and ammo) and instead got a mod. Most of the time it's health, which I can't complain. When I mentioned the part about the Sunika, it was more of referencing the fact I had the mods on it which seems to be a bit more powerful imo when it came to taking down (single) enemies. You are correct that it is a single target when it comes to that, so I reworded that a bit. Finally, the kavat thing. I swear I saw a blueprint available on the market, but when I went back to check after reading this, it's not what I thought it was. Too much researching I guess 🙂 I did make adjustments for everything you mentioned, so super thanks and kudos for that.

Hey all, I made a guide for the various companions in the game. It gives you some ideas of how I use each type, the cost of each (general, nothing too specific), the pros, and the cons I've found for each. Mind you I'm not claiming to be a veteran nor a seasoned player of the game. Hope this gives you some ideas of what to use some of those pesky buddies on your outings! I Choose You! I really like the concept of the Mirage warframe and it reminds me of a puppet master. Dead Silence was a movie I saw in 2007, where ventriloquist dummies basically are evil and do a lot of bad things. Turns out that there was a puppet master, controlling the dummies. With that said, here is my submission for the movie poster!

Mischief and Charm will never be cast at the same time, it's one or the either. When you take just Charm, that is all you will be casting, 100%. Adding Mischief into the mix, you have now a 50% chance of casting Charm. From what I've understood, the cast time is the same no matter what, so it's 1 cast timer with 1 or 2 precepts that are fighting for the cast timer. I've honestly never had a problem with survivability on my kavats, being Adarza, Smeeta, or Venari; just when I was forma'ing them and then leveling.
