Its always affected gameplay. There is no pay to win. Pay for faster yes l, but entirely achievable without. I played for 5 years without spending a dime. And considering how easily you can trade plat for prime parts you never have to spend money.

that's not the issue at hand... the issue is that a mechanic, the booster, which you need to pay for with platinum, a premium currency, is influencing minute to minute gameplay which was not the case up until now

  2. Make the 1 a projectile aoe and make it able to chose between the 4 elements, have it proc status effects depending on the type of element selected

have his 2 be able to select a specific element, once avtivated it supercharges chroma with said element, giving him the ability to make his 1 also proc corrosive, viral....

probably also give him some kind of buff, not sure what else to do with this for now

no idea what to do with his 3 for now either

for his 4, give him a meter that fills up for killing enemies. duration and damage will be meter based, not energy

more meter left, more damage... meter runs out, 4 turns off

you could play arround with values and make it so that while meter is above a certain threshold, mobs are stunned from his scream, then slowed towards the end

can be toggled like now to preserve meter

his 4 also takes elements from his 1 and 2

change his passive to i corporate his wings... everybody wants chroma to use them!

Change it so his bullet jump behaves like a winged charge forward if he has his pelt equipped, his jump would turn into a wing flap

unlike normal bullet jump, he can use his winged charge one more time after he flapped his wings

so instead of bulletjump, dubble jump, roll back to the ground

you could winged charge, flap, winged charge, roll

if he doesnt have his pelt, he behaves like any other frame

edit: formatting, adding that his 4 can be turned off at will to preserve meter

It took me 4 acolyte events farms for a single argon scope drop so trust me. Rng can be bad on these.

you are looking for a specific mod... how many runs did you do where this one specific mod can drop? since not every acolyte can drop it... so you could in practice do 10 events and not even have a chance of argon scope dropping, since you didn´t run the acolytes that drop argon scope

now he said he did 200+ runs without any rare mod dropping... statistically, that's just bullcrap

You do know they can make those mods without baking in Serration, right? Or do you just feel that those mods would be sh*ttier than Serration, and therefore you wouldn't use them. In which case, what you're suggesting is worsening the modding system we currently have just so that you can use that niche mod that no one cares about without feeling bad for losing a nukeworth of damage per second.

Frankly, I'll take my nukeworth of damage per second mod over... something else, because that nukeworth of damage per seconds feels like I've been rewarded for my investment in the game. A mod that makes me shoot flowers or makes my sniper rifle shoot targeting beacons for the orbital laser rather than bullets is kind of the opposite of that.

The mods I have in mind would be worse than serration by definition of them being horizontal progression and not vertical. Look at how the Kitguns are made... Wouldnt it be more fun if you could get mods that "Increase magazine size but increase reload time"? Thats a choice... not "Do you want 150% more damage?", Of course I do, but at that point its not really a choice now is it?

You can still get the feel of progression from putting in time into the game and your weapon, using mods for that is not the only way.

What makes you so afraid of them baking in mandatory mods if you can have the same thing after they rework it? If you are so afraid of them changing mods, would you be alright with having a different window all together for those side-grades? Same S#&$ different packaging.

Well, at least you didn't ask for Path of Exile's skill tree. But, yeah... no, thanks. I enjoy being a god.

How would it interfere with you "being a god" if they rework the weapons so that the damage of the mods would be baked in? It would open up more possibilities to create interesting and unique mods that alter the behavior of the weapons and not "use these mods on almost every single weapon and on others you can slightly deviate".

And I know it has. With Umbra's lore, with the mechanics, with everything. And it still doesn't change everything else I said. Of course if the community is vocal for years they might allow it, but currently the chances of it happening are pretty much near zero.

I haven't seen much, if any uproar about the polarities. And even if it happens in a year or two in the future,  we will more than likely have new and more fun toys to play with by then 🙂

As far as DE has let the community know, no. There's no umbral forma or any plans for it. Why? Those  mods are strictly for use by Umbra frames to fight a top tier enemy, the sentients. The high cost and exclusive polarity were put there for a reason. And remember "Sacrifice", the title of the whole quest? Yeah, there you have it, if you want to use those mods on regular gear.

At best all I see is something like the Paracesis happening. Want to fit those umbral mods comfortably? Ok, sure, but you'll have to make a big effort/sacrifice anyway, by formaing that piece of gear 5 times.

I am pretty sure the title had nothing to do with us "sacrificing" formas and having to level things up multiple times... That being said, I do like the way the umbral mods cant be used willy nilly without any foresight.

    Not necessarily.

There are two ways to suppress guns. There are two noise signatures that need dealt with.

You have integral suppression with a barrel that essentially has holes drilled in it with a shroud to contain, cool, and slow down gas release. This also slows the bullet to subsonic velocities, so there's no supersonic crack. These weapons are relatively weak and the only sound they make is essentially the action cycling and the low velocity gas discharge. The advantage is they're as silent as a gun gets and you can use any ammunition and it'll always be the same. The disadvantage is ballistically they're weak.

You have external suppression with a can that is detachable and contains the suppression mechanism (which can be a number of things, but mostly nowadays are fixed baffles). Again, the idea is to contain, slow, and cool the propellent gases so there's no muzzle blast. The bullet, however, will still be supersonic if it's a supersonic loading. There'll be a supersonic crack. Ballistically, there's no difference between having the suppressor attached or not attached. These guns don't necessarily give up power for reduced noise.

The Baza is modelled on the former--an integrally suppressed weapon. This is why DE has given it a very short range.

    TIL 🙂

Why would a toggle that makes a weapon not only not silent, but also inaccurate, be an improvement?

Well the Baza has lower damage because it´s also silent, so my reasoning was that once you get discovered or the mission stops being about stealth you can opt out of the silent part and regain your "lost" damage. I suggested the inaccurate part in order to differentiate it a bit more than just, silent+less damage, not silent+more damage. There is more of a give and take than simply setting it on Loud mode and forgetting.

    8 minutes ago, Gabbynaru said:

and I doubt a DE implemented switch for that would give you a damage boost similar to Heavy Caliber, to make up for the lost accuracy.

The Baza has a high accuracy of 80, so even with reduced accuracy, it would still be rather accurate.

I didn´t want to get into numbers, it was more of a weapon handling concept. Tweaking numbers can make anything be overpowered, underpowered, or just the right amount of power, but the fun factor and uniqueness factor can not be tweaked with numbers. It comes down to the mechanic.

  10. I love the Nekros Prime skin, but those fingers are making me not want to play him. I was wondering if it would be possible to, at some point, toggle them on and off ?

Maybe just doing something with the clipping would be enough as well, because it hurts my eyes, when the fingers start protruding through your weapons.

Or just leave it on one hand, because if I recall correctly, it´s the left hands finger, that´s doing to most clipping.

and what's to stop the skin from being traded over and over after the initial purchase? It'll just circulate in the market and decrease in value like I said.

this sounds esoteric, way too complicated and stressful for anyone to deal with. It's not going to work. In fact, it further proves how unprofitable the system would be if Tennogen skins could be traded at all. The way you're explaining it sounds like such a hassle.

Who cares if it´s circulating the market and decreases in value? The initial $$ price was already payed and won´t ever change.

Anyways I don´t see the point anymore in arguing over a system that´s never going to be implemented anyways.

Because Content creators miss another person from getting the skin.

    Person A. Buys the Token.

Instead of Person B buying the token for themselves and giving more profit for the content creators, trades with Person A.

Content creators gets no cut from it.

The only solution to the Tennogen skins is to be patient for DE to add it to all platforms. Coming up with "loopholes" won't change a thing.

Uhm, no. That´s not how it would work. It´s more along the lines of Person B can´t buy a token the conventional way, so he has Person A buy a token for him with $$ --> creators get money. Then buys the token from Person A for platinum.

Also due to the token being a one time use, if Person A buys a skin for himself, he cant sell that skin anymore, since the token used to unlock the skin has been used.. poof.. gone.. He would have to buy ANOTHER token for Person B.
