  1. no it means "im going to give a 1 line response that doesent answer anything about a paragraph of concerns brought up by a fellow player about what they find fun that would bairly effect me if i chose not to use that feature" ya know that sort of person

also to anyone that says coptering would effect them if they where in the same game as the people coptering i bairly use coptering instead i like to use the directional melee and in most maps i outrun people to my knoledge directional melee is still going to be in U17

We could all make novels out of our responses if we so desired. Sometimes it is actually harder to be concise and to the point.

In the end, it is just people afraid of change. You may express that fear through thousands of words or but a few. One way is not necessarily better than the other.

  2. Now I shall explain the true reason of coptering and what parkour 2.0 will bring.

Coptering is easy and it is simple : It's a damn fine crutch.

And we all know how hard it is to give it away after we've been accustomed to it for too long.

  3. Hello,

I am looking for a home. I have played a lot of this game solo or with pugs. M16 with about 650 hours playtime in my profile. Despite being here since Beta, I took a well deserved break this past few months and missed a lot on the new content. This almost feels like a new game now. I am mostly interested in the PvE part of the game and hyped for U17.

Your Clan feels like the perfect fit for me. I am 28 years old and self-employed. I like to come online every other day and do a mission or two between my work (I don't have a fixed schedule). I mostly play during the evening NA eastern time zone. I have a working mic and TS3. I like to listen to music while playing for the most part, but will use TS3 for group missions for sure.

    Thank you.

  4. The outcome are super cliché anyway. Either he betrays us again as expected or miracle he changes his ways because... Jesus. I also would like him more neutral. But I expect him to be Corpus. However, if he can be open to "trade" with us instead of outright aggression, that will be good.

Ppl supported an individual that they know will most likely betray us, they saw it miles away and still...

Its like putting a gambler in charge of your money if you ask me

As opposed to what? Supporting a regilious nut out of spite against Alad V? To me, it seemed like a no brainer to support Alad V anyway.

Even if he betrays us again, if he can't no longer control or improve the infested as a whole that's a win. We also have a base for a cure/weapon against the infestation itself. If he goes back being a Corpus a odds against Frohd Bek and Nef Anyo its a win, they will keep each other in check by conflicts.

  5. The way I see it, and why I chose to support Alad V, (however, I'd be an hypocrite if I said the Karak did not count for a lot too), is that I believe he will be more useful to us once cured than he is right now.

Once cured he should have no longer any affiliation with the Infested and he should not be improving them further. He is after all a genius that was able to combined and use to his own profit the Warframes.

He is also at odds with the other Corpus leaders and the Board. Even if he does not become "good", he will be an asset of control inside the Corpus. Either from petty conflicts or all out war with other members. He has many reasons to have a personal grudge against Frohd Bek too.

That in itself seemed like a way bigger gain than simply siding with Nef out of spite, and doing a favor to all the other Corpus by keeping Alad corrupted.

I do understand this is pure speculations, they could go an entirely different way with this. I just hope they don't go with the easy "cure didn't work" status quo and make the event truly without consequences.

Also I agree with Kuri99. Looking into a cure to the infestation is worth the try.

So in the end I also disagree with the OP. I do not think this event was not without any worthwhile moral dilemma. It might not have been as obvious as Gravidus, but I think in the long run it will be of greater importance than Gravidus was.

  6. Did some people really think he would change his ways? At worst he is a leader of the infested and they have access to his genius mind (after all he did sucessfully combined Warframes) and at best he is back being a Corpus, but still a Corpus.

He might not be hell bent on the assimilation of the whole system, but thats the only change we can truly expect from him once cured.

Beside the whole focus of the event was more about stopping Tyl Regor than helping him. I think this was a case of the "devil we know".

Don't get me started with the other Religious nut too. I'd rather have Alad V back as a full Corpus and in conflict with the other Corpus leaders than getting rid of him for them.

To me Tyl Regor seemed like the way bigger threat.

  7. Because it's a game.

They could make it so that we stop fighting and all become members of the Red Cross. I doubt bringing food to oppressed Grineer citizens will have the same appeal.

Shooters and dungeon crawlers are about genocides on planetary scales usually when you think about it. In this instance, I guess it's more on a solar scale.

  8. So, guess what I've done today? I started a mission, without requiring any keys. And within a minute of starting that mission, I was fighting enemies that could put up a decent fight against my potato'd and forma'd gear. Because of Cold Revenge.

Seriously, why is this not more common? Everywhere else, I have to spend 15 minutes in some Endless mode before I start facing enemies that put up a challenge. It's really nice to just drop in and immediately start fighting some guys that make me feel like it's worth it to forma my stuff. In addition, it's the first time I've ever gotten decent XP from something other than Endless modes as well. The high density of heavy units and eximus allowed me to get XP from something other than mass-murdering huge waves of enemies.

Apart from the "Drain your energy before you can blink" Eximus drones accompanying the capture targets, this is some of the most fun I've had playing non-Endless missions in a LONG time. I really hope this event is them testing the waters for more tough enemy dense Extermination/Capture/Etc... missions. Exterminating hordes of pushovers isn't fun. Ignoring a bunch of push-overs while I kill one slightly-less-pushoverable guy wasn't too exciting either. If I want to go on a killing spree where the enemies present no challenge (and sometimes I do) that's what the earlier planets are still for. But I really want some more regularly available missions, no keys required, where I feel like all the grind to get better stuff is worth it, right off the bat, and not having to wait for some endless difficulty curve to ramp up enough. Especially since I like the greater density of heavy troops in the enemies. Light troops felt like distractions, and AoE fodder. Heavy enemies feel like real threats, and I love seeing more of them at once.

    I agree

I was pleasantly surprised with the event. Considering how easy the previous tactical alerts were. This one was fun. I hope they keep doing this in the future.

Countless repitition doesn't make an event challenging. However, something quick, but with an escalating difficulty is a much better way of doing it imo.

  9. To be honest, even with the possibility of turning down my mods, I do not think I would do it anyway. Nor would I recommand you that approach. At least. not in the OP's example - weekend event.

I'd rather do damage with 1 weapon than none with 3. In my experience, The ones that brought 3 weapons during the CR4 mission did no more than 5% dmg in my games. The people with 1 leveled weapon turned out to contribute the most.

However, the slider would be a nice addition for versatility. No need to carry different levels of the same mod.

  10. Oh, additionally, it's noteworthy that things lose heat rapidly without any real insulation, so a pellet may deform badly while it cools.

...still, it should probably lose the most damage from the mere spread of particles as it travels, rather than any other inherent reason.

It's also noteworthy that the imperator ALSO has damage falloff--sniping an enemy from over 500m causes significantly less damage than shooting them at PBR.

    That's another misconception about space.

There is no convection or conduction in space. Heat transfer is done through radiation and that process takes quite some time in a near vacuum environment. The "flash freeze" you may see in movies is not based on real facts.

Anyway back on topic, as others have said it's more about gameplay mechanics than making an accurate space representation.

  11. Might be the new PBR system playing up?

I thought the samething as well.

They did say in the last devstream that we would get some differences between materials because they have to go through all of them one by one to apply the changes.

If that's what is happening here.

I also noticed that the light does not change as well. That one might be a bug.

  12. Actually we are in total agreement regarding the Hexis and your comments - as best I understand them to be - are a recapitulation of mine

We agree that the Hexis want to move AWAY from "antiquated" systems of thought and establish a totally new one

Take a look at theclinton's thread on the Arbiters if you haven't already ... you will find really some really good and detailed posts making the same point

English is not my first language, I guess I misinterpreted your meaning then. If we are in an agreement then nice to see I'm not alone in my views on the Arbiters.

And yes I have, really nice thead and read indeed. I must admit I get way too excited and carried away with these speculations. Love this kind of conversations.

  13. Each group sees that the "old way" was better than the "current way" and they are right BUT this view point ignores the fact that the "old way" was HOW things degenerated into the "current way"

I do not agree with this part. The Arbiters do not seem to value the old way or current way has being any better than one another to me. They do not want to bring back the Tenno to former glory or back under some Orokin substitute rule. They want to go farther ahead with them. They want to bring the Tenno to an entirely new level that is way beyond what they currently are or were.

To be honest, I have not looked that much into Suda just yet, but she also does not appear like falling under that category. She wants all knowledge - past, present and future - She wants to be something more than she is now and whatever came before her. At least that's my understanding.

  14. I'm fairly certain that the Arbiters are Tenno. !) No one would have any vested interest in rising "above our masters" but the Tenno. 2) no one would know of what the Tenno potential is, but the Tenno. 3) Tenno give us missions during Dark Sector conflicts. The only reason there's no audio to accompany it is because DE wouldn't want to dictate how we sound, since we are supposed to be those Tenno.

Yes, the Tenno can speak at least to other Tenno, and yes, the Arbiters are most likely Tenno.

    I'm not so sure.

They might admire the Tenno and wants to be our harbingers. There is appeal in being the "creator/enabler" of something greater than oneself. They could easily be composed of anyone and everyone.

Edit: Note that they used the term masters for the Orokins. And not something like parents, fathers, etc. They could consider themselves the fathers of the next generation of Tenno or the fathers of fully achieved Tennos. Something like that.

  15. I want some Ordis Customization, like changing the exterior paint job for during load screens, having clan emblems on your ship, and maybe some ship accessories.

I think we are going there. The heads are probably just the beginning. TF proved that F2P can thrives on accessories alone. I'm sure it's not lost on DE either.

  16. i don't like the glitching as often as he does. lately its when demanding i build the archwing... even though i am... it just has a long build time that's out of my control.

That's obviously an oversight though. I don't think it was in DE's mind to make him that annoying. Right now it probably is not at the top of the to do list either, since we can mute him.

I do like Ordis as well. I hope we get to have a quest line on his past. Maybe him and Suda had a thing at some point... scary though.

  17. I feel like the Arbiters are not that interested in governing per say. They want the Tenno to surpass their former masters yes, but I believe it is in raw power, knowledge and from an evolution standpoint perharps. This may very well lead to the formation of an Empire that would rule all, but I don't think it's the goal in itself. Their goal is more about reaching a far greater potential that is currently limited somehow (by the Lotus?).

    - Btw I chose the Arbiters because of my assumption, I hope I'm not too wrong. I'm hoping we can learn our history or purpose through them. I feel they would be more inclined to share their knowledge with us over Suda.

  18. Why does this community think that nobody is justified for their anger/disappointment/frustration? Honestly, what's wrong with everyone?

I've already made a thread about this, and said my peace. This is to everyone who says "be patient" "stop complaining" "you didn't expect this? Sounds like your fault" "You're just whining" "You have a problem with the game you like? Be an extremist and quit playing all together."

Stop being so damn clueless. Nobody other than you is an extremist who will quit just because of 1, or even a few disappointing aspects of gameplay. We're all actual human beings, and can say "ok, that was bad, but I still like this, so I'm gonna continue."

Stop being so damn ignorant. If nobody complains about anything, then we'd have a broken, fun sucking, pay2win black hole of a game that nobody would enjoy. I play games to have fun, and relax. If something isn't fun, and is frustrating, I'm going to tell the developers so they don't make the mistake again.

Stop being so damn loud. You people are only appropriate when someone is legitimately overstepping the bounds of "feedback." Be it just a useless babble, and angry chimp who wants people fired/killed, or someone who is complaining about something completely irrelevant, like "this game doesn't support taco gameplay pls fix! If the "feedback" doesn't fall into those categories, keep to yourself.

Stop being so damn anti conscientious. Just because you have a problem with thinking doesn't mean nobody should think for themselves. We're entitled to an opinion, even if that opinion is critical to the game you worship so much you can't see it's flaws.

Here's a simple technique I think you can use to keep from hindering the game's growth. when you read a thread -

    Stop

    Read

    Think

    Rethink

    Evaluate

    You know who you are.

It's fine if its justified complaints. Complaining for the sake of complaining because your little perfect world got upside down is childish.

I'm not even going to comment on that "extremist" part. You sure like to exagerate things on a whole new level here.

Some of you are complaining that something that got halved in time still has built time on it. Really? They halved it already.

The weekend also has nothing to do in the argument, it's a convenience in this case. The people complaining they have to wait a day and half for their archwing would still do so even if it was released midweek.

Stop being so egocentric on this subject already. Everything in Warframe is either bought with plat or constructed. "Time" is part of the business model after all. And if you chose to build it, you simply have to wait or you can even pay a smaller fee to rush it. What's so hard to understand with this?

Some of us are trying to make you see the middle ground here. If the Archwing had been 72 hours + 12 hours for each parts, I might understand some of the complaints, but its half that time! Get real here and stop looking at your own little self. People put plat in this to rush it and are actively bug reporting on it so we can all enjoy a better experience in the end. So yeah waiting a little bit, to get it free of plat, seems like such a big cruel punishment here...

  19. Main Issue

Progression in a faction is based entirely along units of favour which when spent wipe away progression. This is unsatisfying as it feels like you are pushed back to square one. The system become zero sum. Yeah you have your mod, or weapon or gear but your only measure of progression is gone.

There also doesnt seem to be increasing progression. Gaining favour does not facilitate actions you can take to increase your favour gain with time. This is frustrating. Layers of progression would serve the game much better.

    I do not agree.

You do have progression you do not lose... the Rewards themselves.

How will we find ourselves invested in a Syndicate if there is no consequences of leaving or spreading our loyalty everywhere? The system is fine as it is for that part.

If you betray them you should lose all that progression. Yet we still keep all the Reward and we can trade the mods too.

  20. There are other threads about this. Quit making new ones to make it look like a bigger deal than it is for most people.

Everything takes half of what it takes to build a Warframe. They could have given us 12 hours pieces with 72 hours for the Archwing. But they didn't. I'm pretty happy with this. It's nice of them, considering time is their business model. I dont know what some of you expected here.

Beside, even if the update had been released during the week you would have the same complaint. Don't bring the weekend in this. They halved everything, Yet for some of you it's never enough. How much do you deemed yourself entitled here? Quit that "I want everything now!" tantrum.

Lots of content already accessible, play that while you wait a little bit. Hey most bug might be fixed by then too and you'll have a better experience altogether. People are putting plat into this and willingly bug reporting on it too. Such egocentrism here.

  21. It's not even as "time gated" as releasing Primes.. You can get the Archwing parts in less than an hour and inside the 2nd mission you do... So I still dont see that precedent of yours. Primes release are way more time gated with all the farm than what we just got.

Plenty of stuff to do and a lot of additions were instantly received.
