  1. Updated the build, and pillage & ensnare both work great.
  2. Yep, can be effective up to a point, although in later steel path or harder missions, you're better off charming and relying on the synergy with reave for the hard to kill mobs. Longer endless missions, reave wins.

We can only equip 1 per frame, and only 1 damage increase per frame, that's restriction enough to maintain balance. The reason why those abilities will be popular is that they bridge gaps in current kits for many frames, making those frames usable and competitive with the top tier frames. Just leave them as is. 4. I like the existing Revenant kit better. Full damage invulneratiblity, ability to charm lots of enemies to fight for you, and infinitly scaling damage with reave, plus health and shield restore. Revenant is one of the better frames in the game. I think a lot of people just don't realize the synergies and how to play him and just try to pinwheel all day.
  5. Fair enough. The build I run can hit stuff with petrify too, just wanted to do it faster and group up more enemies.
  6. Thanks, will give it a try when I get that far.
  7. Thanks. Yeah, hadn't thought of Ensnare, are you sure you can petrify ensnared enemies? Base radius for spread is 10m, which is somewhat better. Still low range though. I'll probably just go with Pillage, but will give Ensnare a try once I get around to subsuming Khora. Other abilities are more universally useful so going to subsume those first.
  8. Edit: Changed the build per the conversation below to try out Ensnare, which works great. Pillage works even better: Decided to subsume Nidus first for Larva hoping it would be useful with Atlas still despite the nerf. Unfortunately Larva's range is mediocre to the point of uselessness and petrify does not show as an effect on enemies trapped in larva. Larva also cannot group enemies that are petrified. So that synergy is not as good as hoped. Air Burst or Pull would be better for the intended purpose, but still lack range to be great, so probably better just going

  10. Which makes it inferior to Eclipse which you get the full damage reduction benefit constantly without needing to use a mod. The mod for Null Star should cause the orbs to launch and do damage (percentage of health-based again to make it scalable). Recasting without the mod just refreshes the defense. The problem is that without molecular prime, and without the mod, there is currently no way to keep the defense buff up. Even with this change, Eclipse is still comparatively better because stepping into a different light instantly changes it to a damage increase.
