A Year ago, i made the Quest for chroma, build him, leveled him up and deleted the Warframe because i dont had Platin to Store it. Now i wanted this warframe again because i got plenty of space now for Warframes. I made the quest again for the Blueprint aaaaaaaaaaaand i dont get it anymore as reward. Is that a Bug or can i only get this Blueprint ONE TIME with my Account through this quest and thats it? If yes, it would be better to warn the players that this is a 1 time chance! I surely dont spend 375 platin for a complete Chroma kit in the market.

It's not a bug unfortunately. Currently the quests only reward the necc essay components once. In your case (and mine too) the only way to get him back is to buy him. Here's hoping they change this in the future.

Harrow, Trinity, and even Limbo all have energy recovery skills and passives that compliment the play style that the kit demands. Oberon has neither of these, but I can understand the insistence on making his passive work on animals since he's supposed to be a nature kind of frame.

Except with Rage equipped he does have energy recovery. With his 3 offering an extremely strong heal over time, Rage should be a prerequisite for any ability intensive build.

But I agree with your comment on being his passive being pretty bad. However, passive energy regeneration seems too vanilla and basic as a replacement.

Maybe something associated with triggering a blinding light when you deplete all your shields? Not sure. It's been a topic that's been rolling around the forums for a long time.

I've used the first bait 10 times. All it does is make day fish available at night. The second bait does the opposite. Makes night fish available in thee day. the problem is that the bait only works for like 3 minutes. Which is freaking stupid considering it already is a consumable recipe.

I hate the fact the recipe is consumable too. Having them as reusable recipes would streamline the Ostron reputation at the start a lot.

Aside from that, I'm not really sure what more you could do. Just keep hoping and fishing. I know that I caught both around dusk, with the Karkina on the Eastern Shore and the Sharrak on both shores (I think). I hope that helps!

Which bait? The grind is so horrid, that I'm only up to whatever rep is required for the 2nd mining laser. It's hard to even want to do anything in the plains due to it.

I'm pretty sure the first version of bait should work. I picked up both species with the first spear and bait as well, though they are very rare.

  5. That said, I agree with everyone saying that the materials used in the research for the Archwing gear should have been something, at least, not stuck behind a side-activity. Having it available from the beginning would throw the progression and discovery; but having it stuck behind a completely irrelevant activity makes no sense whatsoever.

Then use that Fish Oil to rank up a mod, collect Focus energy, level a Warframe or weapon—you know, important stuff.

It's designed to waste time. Don't be obtuse.

"Important". For some people the important part of Warframe is variety and having plenty of different things to do when other activities (like the ones you mentioned) get boring. I would argue that fishing isn't designed to be a time-waster but just doesn't feed-back properly into any other of the game's systems (also the ones you mentioned), along with the rest of activities associated with the Ostron syndicate.

The Iradite is also not an easy material to farm. Every single Iradite node is just 1 Iradite. So you have to run around and smash 100 of them to get enough. Iradite rewards from incursions are maybe 5, you might get them from armored vaults. All in all Grokdrul is the most common and easy to get material. Iradite and Fish oil are harder to get.

If you load into the Plains during the night with a Bounty 5 going, each deposit can net you 5 each. And there are plenty of fish around the coasts and in the 'main' lake. It does take a bit longer, yes, but the farm isn't unbearable- not like the sentient core farm at least.

I don't quite understand how some people would be affected by this and others not.  Connectivity timeout doesn't seem like it would be discriminating per account.  Time outs would be random.

This seems more like an authentication issue.  It doesn't really matter either way since we can't get in to play no matter the root cause.

I don't understand it either. But it's not usually a persistent account issue. It happened to me a couple of times when The War Within dropped but then once the server traffic died down a bit the issue seemed to be fixed. What regions are you guys playing on?

well at least i understand it doesn't just affect corroding barrage.

thank you for mentioning that to me. however it is annoying how the only reason on why Hydroid is effective is because of his corroding Barrage. if you take away that aspect from him, he becomes a weak warframe because his damage isn't enough to sub stain him in high level missions.

but allowing hydroid to proc statues effects on a frozen enemy... i can see why giving immunity to statues effects on Avalanche makes frost balanced

Like you say, that's the trade-off for taking Frost into a mission. Aside from Corroding Barrage, Frost and Hydroid don't work particular well together anyway.

Both are focused on different forms of CC rather than flat damage; running them in a mission where they'll be interacting with the same enemies is generally a bit counter-productive seeing as their kits don't generally work well together.

As for Hydroid himself, I've found him to be much more useful than he was before his rework (remembering that his usefulness at higher levels is in his CC rather than his damage output). And remember, Corroding Barrage isn't necessarily designed as a damage-dealing augment- it's only meant to strip armor. If you play to his strengths you'll find you might be more successful with him.

this is what i am doing, but if i actually want to be of help, i need my primary weapon. which has that lens on it, which means i hardly get any xp lol. kinda sucks tbh. cant level melee weapons with valkyr, cause damage gets nerfed so bad. frost does no damage, and volt well... volt is terrible, and oberon. we all know about oberon lol.  yeah im useless now thanks to this :(

If you're having issues with the power level of the game's content then go back to basics in the star chart and level your weapons at a lower enemy levels. It sounds to me like you're reliant on that weapon in harder content and because you're killing everything with it, it's sucking up all the xp. What mission did you try unequip the lens'd weapon in?

patently redicuolous, the console players are compensating the creators, no? they must have a way to funnel the plat purchases from plat to the creators, there is no legitimate reason that Console players should be able to buy for plat and PC players that have nothing to do with steam can't There is no difference between a console player and a PC user who don't use steam.

... apart from the platform that they Look, I see your point. But that's the nature of development, distribution and user-creation. Especially considering its the STEAM Workshop that is the main service through which Tennogen items initially get uploaded.

  12. 16 minutes ago, Shockwave- said:

This makes little sense. You are saying that somehow Steam has a way to prevent anyone who doesn't use steam on a PC from getting it, but not people on consoles. If they have no say on consoles, they have no say on PCs not using Steam either. Unless DE agreed to something... which means blame DE for allowing steam to control their non steam players. If they can make agreements to bring tennogen items to no steam console players they can do the same for non steam PC players

You say that like DE is the only developer they do this to. It's not. And like I said before, the agreement is to protect the users that create the content. If YOU got a skin for say 150 plat (without Steam on PC), which is what- 5 or 6 US dollars worth and someone else (with Steam on PC) pays 7 or 8 dollars worth of real money then essentially the creators (as well as DE and Valve) lose out on 1 to 2 dollars for those purchases made without Steam. That's why policies like this exist.

EDIT: And because you're using the same platform even, if you aren't using Steam, you're still subject to their creator-protection policies.

  13. 4 minutes ago, Shockwave- said:

Well consoles users don't play through steam and they have it for plat. I don't play through steam.... so why can't i access tennogen with plat as well?

Because you're playing on a platform which can connect to Steam. The reason Steam has such policies in place is to make sure that creators don't get ripped off by Devs through the worth of their product (skins) in real money being devalued by artificial currency. This is creator/acessiblity/fairness issue- it has nothing to do with players.

DE can avoid it on consoles because Steam has no say with regards to user-created products being used via those systems.

So in short- blame Steam not DE.

Edit: And to be honest, Steam protecting the value of user-created content is good. So while it is an issue for you, remember it's for the good of the creators makif the content.

  14. You can bet your bottom dollar it will be back next year, along with the snowball event for Christmas- so I wouldn't worry about whether you'll be able to pick them up again.

As for locking the rewards behind a Conclave exclusive event- there's no suitable way of allowing this to happen short of developing a new PvE game mode.

While I feel your pain in terms of playing on troublesome hardware (I also did for a long time), there's not much DE can do about it. They can only accommodate hardware at either end of the spectrum so much.

As for conclave itself being assigned to this 'event', I don't mind- at least in the respect that it's an annual celebration. And to be honest, having to spend a couple of hours in it isn't that bad considering that if the event was PvE base, it would be the same old Exterminate or Mobile Defense or Survival or... you get my point. It's different, even if Warframe isn't a game that had PvP explicitly in mind when it was first designed.

I feel pretty bad posting this, as the Nullifier topic has been beaten to death, but even with their upcoming changes Nullifiers will still be "broken" (not mechanically, but rather thematically).

This has nothing to do with their bubble damage mechanics, their sniper rifle, or even their nullification, it has to do with the combination of all of those things.

Go back a few Devstreams and the topic of Nullifiers came up (this is before the weak spot stuff), [DE]Rebecca told of her experience and how Nullifiers caused her (and other players) to change their playstyle when they spawn. The rest of the Dev team there agreed that it was a good thing that Nullifiers forced a change of playstyle then they moved on.

    What?

I am not sure they really realize the game this is. This is not a game where you fight an (emphasis on singular) enemy, it is a game where you fight THE enemy. The enemy is not a Crewman, or a Lancer, or a Bombard, and it shouldn't be a Nullifier. In a game where you kill thousands of enemies regularly, the enemy is the group. So our enemy is the Corpus, the Grineer, the Infested and of course the Sentient. It should not be one enemy coming onto the battlefield that causes you to change your playstyle, it should be the combination of enemies (The faction as a whole) that makes you rethink what you are doing. If one (very) common spawn enemy causes a massive response from a player that is not a dedicated boss/mini-boss type, there is an issue.

I guess that I should clarify that Nullifiers are not an unbalanced enemy to fight (especially with the upcoming changes), the unbalanced part is that you might as well rename the Corpus to "Nullifiers and Company" because Nullifiers alone pretty much carry the faction. Everything the Corpus have is resting on one (rather gimmicky) enemy. Compare this to the Grineer and Infested where the combination of enemies is what gives them power.

So here is what I am getting to, the Nullifier's power should be split up. No longer should the might of the Corpus rest on the back of one enemy, but rather many. Here we go...

    • Nullifier Adjustments: No more nullification. The bubble works exactly as it does now if you are standing on the outside, so all abilities (from the outside) will be deflected and AoEs will be blocked. However, if you step inside the bubble you will no longer have your abilities nullified. Furthermore, get rid of their Lanka and give them a Cestra instead. This would give them a close quarters leaning (which makes sense as close quarters is their weakness).
    • Sapping Osprey adjustments: Corpus have enough damage. Pretty much everything hits hard, very hard. The AoE of Sapping Osprey is a pretty "meh" mechanics and I see no one thinking of the Corpus as a less imposing faction if Sapping Osprey lost their damage. So, Sapping Osprey's orbs now are little nullification bubbles. These are the exact same bubbles that Isolator Bursas use. These block no damage (you can shoot the orb directly) but of course enemies inside the bubble are unaffected by abilities. They also have the ability to stick to Warframes if they come in contact (roll to get it off). As an additional synergy with the Corpus, Sapping Osprey could target friendly units to give them a personal bubble of protection.
    • Railgun MOA adjustments: First these guys need to actually spawn. Then have them be a devastating unit, but give them a noise similar to Grineer Ballistas. Very slow fire rate though.
    • Sniper Crewman Adjustments: MOAs are the primary fighters, but when a Crewman shows up the accuracy and fire rate of Railgun MOAs increases (as well as the Sniper Crewman firing themselves).
    • Orokin Drone: These guys are to give the Orokin their nullification back without the lazy "Corrupted Sapping Osprey". So, rather than giving a pathetic amount of shields, Orokin Drones now give ability immunity when connected to an ally.

Now before you call this a nerf, imagine that time you walked into a room and saw a bunch of Sapping Osprey orbs on the ground, now imagine that entire area as a no-ability zone. Then of course imagine having to keep an eye on the back line, where the snipers lay. Then there are random enemies scattered on the field that are resistant to abilities (Sapping orb stuck to them). And of course all the while keeping those Nullifier bubbles down. That sounds like a bigger change in playstyle than what a Nullifier does now, and it is done through a combination of units rather than a trump card.

And as for Orokin Drones, they would give the Corrupted a wee bit of faction flavor.

So this rework concept is intended to be a nerf to Nullifiers, but a buff to Corpus.

Best recommendations I've heard for Corpus in a while. Would make it more of a tactical challenge rather than a game of how many sapping grenades you can pop before the Tech pops you.

Hey man, totally agree with ya. Just remember that the PvP events aren't replacing anything. It's not like they say "Oh we can have a pve event OR a pvp event". The PvE events have just been few and far between for the last little bit.

Boom. PvE content in a nutshell since the Second Dream. I miss the days when we got events like the Gravidus Dilemma.

Although to be honest having these PvP events for annual celebrations like Christmas and Valentines Day is alright. It kind of gives the impression that it will be back next year so there's no rush to do them.

But yeah... more Dillemma's, Fomorians and Razorbacks would be awesome. Speaking of, anyone think they should make the invasion event counter just a bit more faster?

Talking in voice chat with my friend and read your response out-loud to him and he wanted me to tell you that you have his seal of approval.

Hahahaha, thanks for that. To make a further point- this is exactly the issue that we have plenty other parts of the game, namely focus. Saying that we shouldn't worry about Guides because DE doesn't have the manpower to regulate it is like saying that they shouldn't worry about focus because they dont have the manpower to update it and make it more relevant.

They're both part of the game, and thus both deserve attention.
