    (players: help this get seen by a dev and help a poor soul out!)

     

    THE PROBLEM

    Ever thought of getting a name change? -I have. "Something short and sweet" -I think to myself.

    Well that's a bummer, since every possible username in every damn dictionary is already taken.

    -And just to add insult to injury: most of these are occupied by 5-year-old, inactive accounts with maybe 30-60 minutes of playtime.

    This stuff affects both players like me and newcomers alike. -Anyone that isn't fine with wearing "xXxXL4meUserName11xXx" on their foreheads.

     

    SUGGESTED SOLUTION

    Implement a system that makes the names of inactive accounts (2 years of inactivity or so) available for others to use.

    Should the old account for some reason return and find that their username has been taken- they get to choose a new one for free.

     

    FINAL THOUGHTS

    League of Legends, among other big games- have this kind of system, and I think you (DE) are missing out.

    Spending hours to find a name in vain (as I have) is no fun affair, to say the least, and I think the great majority of players will agree with me there.

    I myself find it extremely de-motivating, and I wouldn't be surprised if it makes new players just turn around and leave because of it.

    You can at least bet your ass I'm not spending 200 plat on a new username I'll just end up regretting afterwards.

    Started off my new account two days ago by purchasing the mesa prime ballistic pack.

    I got the plat and weapons immediately, but not the frame.

    I supposed I had to reach mastery rank 2 (the barrier for owning Mesa Prime) but I was wrong.

    - In case you didn't know, the warframe itself isn't actually included in the "Mesa Prime Access: Ballistick Pack", it just really, REALLY seems so.

    Mesa Prime, Akjagara Prime, and Redeemer Prime can also be crafted from parts found in Relics in-game.

    The imagery on the page also clearly advertises the pack WITH Mesa, and even if it wasn't intended (which I doubt) it can seem low-key-scammy.

    I know I'm not going to get compensated for this, but try to avoid shaking idiots like me for all our money in the future, thanks.

    50 dollars is a lot, after all.
