Major issues would include - not being able to play the game, losing progress, not being able to progress in quests/missions, missing crafted weapons, not being able to obtain any new weapons etc.

Some of the issues reported are just from people misunderstanding the mechanics. For example there are people reporting that their melee stances are not working properly...

    Emphasis mine.

What is the appreciable difference between missing crafted items and missing blueprints or foundry builds? At the end of the day, it's still someone missing what they have obtained from their inventory.

There are mods that people are reporting aren't working. At all. Others that relied on the old melee system that haven't been updated, and so don't apparently do anything. Maybe the latter group is just an issue that their card text hasn't been changed. Either way, these are fairly big issues. At least the mods still exist and aren't missing, but if they don't do anything,

A lot changed with melee, and some stances may, in fact, be broken and not work correctly. It's possible that you're right, and it's not a mechanics issue but an understanding issue. Assuming that is what they are and they're not actually bugs, this reflects a mismanagement of expectations due to a failure in communication from DE. Setting aside content like quests and such that are intended to be figured out by the players, systems changes should not be a mystery and need to be more clearly described in the Update Notes posts.

Tiny team; no resources. Just report, wait for next hotfix and repeat report until fixed. Depending on complexity of error, it may take less than a day or may never be fixed.

Emphasis mine. This is the part that's completely unacceptable, regardless of the team size.

No resources? Where do you get that idea? If that were the case, the game wouldn't have lasted for the 6+ years that it's had so far.

Even if the development team can't directly respond, the community team that is supposed to be watching the forums and reading through the bug report threads should be able to list the issues that they've seen and passed along. That little bit of visibility would go a long way.

I purchased $20 in platinum yesterday after the update, through steam it says it was successful but I’ve yet to receive any platinum in game...I just want my Titania skin, Anyone know how to resolve this?

If you haven't submitted a support ticket, that would be the first thing to do. You'd probably also want to screenshot the activity (to show your Plat purchase) on your Steam account and attach it to the ticket.

I'm not saying there aren't any bugs. I'm saying there is nothing major going on.

The missing weapons - did they disappear from your inventory? No. You just can't buy blueprints and craft them. That's hardly an issue justifying a need for PTR.

Read my post in the linked thread. Yes, the Lanka blueprint DID disappear from my inventory. Others have reported having it building in the foundry when the update got pushed, and they not only lost the materials but still don't have the finished weapon. And it's more than just the Lanka. Is that not a major issue to you, or is it not just because it isn't happening to you?

It's more than just the energy lab stuff. Melee stopping you from sprinting, melee control issues, liches not spawning for people, etc, etc, etc, etc. The list goes on. Would a PTR catch all of these? Probably not. Would it catch the worst offenders? Most likely.

Maybe you are willing to wait another month but a lot of people aren't. Regular players, streamers and youtubers are qutting because of the content drought. Some might come back but some won't.

What are these "severe" bugs you are talking about? I have already killed a Lich, crafted Grendel and played regular missions without any issues. My clanmates are not reporting any major issues either.

I quit for three of this game's six years mostly because of constantly building tech debt with no upper limit in sight. New bugs being introduced with every update and only maybe a quarter of those ever getting fixed. This has been a long-running issue with DE.

One of the most glaring issues with U26 that I've seen: Missing Energy Lab Weapons

Take a look in the PC Bugs pinned thread, and the U26 and Hotfix threads in Update Notes. There are a lot of issues being reported with everything they've added and changed, and then some as evidenced with the linked thread.

How can you call this an "excuse" is beyond me. You DO NOT get to decide when the product is finished.

You should consider the additional delays PTR would cause. People are mad about content drought all the time. This would only make the issue worse because the PTR would need some time to run. Sure, some people do enjoy playing PTR but more people enjoy playing live version of the game - even with bugs. There are currently 87000 players on Steam playing Warframe...

I can call it an excuse because it is. The Founders program ended exactly 6 years ago, which being generous and assuming that wasn't a post-full-release program but a pre-full-release program, that dates the actual full release date being also exactly 6 years ago. A beta release does not exist in beta for 6 years. A beta release does not have multiple microtransactions priced at $40-100+ for the same 6 year period. I will NOT be engaging with any further conversation regarding the game's so-called "beta" status. I will report every such "It's a beta" post beyond this one for derailing the topic, because it is a massive distraction and offers nothing of value.

As for the delay, I would gladly see another month or so pass before U26 hit if it meant that the most severe bugs had been discovered and fixed by then. I seriously doubt it would even take an extra month, more likely an additional week, maybe two at most. Some bugs are to be expected from any big update, but this is beyond what's acceptable. If DE can't find these issues themselves -- and I do not entirely fault them for this -- then a PTR is potentially a great way to do exactly that.

I'm sure people would be willing to grind on PTR and when the update is released grind AGAIN on live servers. /s

Where is it written that monetization or lenght mark a "full release"?

The product is finished when the developer says it is. DE says that Warframe is in beta? Then it is in beta.

Emphasis mine. That is an excuse, and a poor one at that.

There actually are people who enjoy playing on PTRs. Some to be able to see bits of content a bit earlier than others, some because they want to help test things before the community at large gets the actual update, some for reasons I haven't even considered. Obviously it wouldn't be the whole player base, or likely even a large percentage of it, but there could very well be enough to spot a decent chunk of the issues we see before the main update hits.

  8. Can we please get some acknowledgement about the issues that have been raised in the bug reporting and update note threads? A locked sticky maybe, but the actual form doesn't really matter so much. Just something that we can all look at that lists what DE has seen and will hopefully be fixing? It's quite frustrating to have no idea if any of these issues are even being read except by our fellow players.

PC is the "ptr" since they can push updates at will, we are the testing environment.

As for your idea that the game is not beta just because it has been our for X amount of time, there is a huge flaw in that.

The game frequently has huge changes to entire systems, and is very much still a work in progress. That in itself makes the game fit the general definition of a beta.

You may want to reread my post. It isn't just about the length of time since its original release, but both that and the monetization that marks it as a full release. If this actually is a WIP, then where's the roadmap to the "full" release? When can we expect that to be done? There are no answers to those two questions, because this is the full release.

You still haven't presented any reason (let alone a good reason) why we shouldn't have a PTR to alleviate the massive issues people have had with basically every major update over the years.

PC is Beta, always will be and always was. For that we get the updates way earlier then consoles which have to wait several months at times.

Incorrect. PC is the game's original platform. The "beta" claim is fallacious for a game that's been happily accepting money from players for several years. That was true long before the console versions were ever released.

  11. The general player base should not be your test subjects. When an update like Old Blood comes out and breaks so much, the question becomes "Why wasn't this discovered during testing?" I understand that you'll never catch everything, and there are several combinations of circumstance that would be impossible for a human to predict, but that is precisely why other games utilize PTRs for an additional testing layer.

The new melee and lich mechanics are bugged, sometimes to the point of simply not working. Things aren't dropping that should have been. Items are flat-out missing from people's inventories! This is not an acceptable way to publish updates. Many of these issues could have been discovered by a PTR ahead of the general release, and fixed before U26 went live.

  12. I had the Lanka research completed and a blueprint in my inventory, only waiting on MR 10 to start it building. I get my rank finished a little while ago, go to the foundry and find that I no longer have the blueprint. Thinking that maybe I just forgot to get it from the lab, I go to my dojo only to find that it isn't there. I check the clan summary, and the entry in the research list is also gone. As with previous posters, I checked the update post to see if maybe I missed something, but found no mention other than in the bug report thread. Knowing that usually when items are retired (such as the Arcane helmets) you don't lose the blueprints from your inventory, I'm pretty sure this is a bug. I'm hoping that this gets resolved soon and those of us who have lost items have them restored.

  13. I just have one thing to say on the topic of "too complex" or "too much at once"... For one thing, who said everything covered by this suggestion would have to be altered at once? For another... READ THE THREAD TITLE!! The words "complete rework" and "foundation" don't suggest a major, systemic change to you?!

If you don't agree with the premise that the basis of the game is flawed, if you don't think that Warframe should be turned to a completely different direction, one more sustainable and stable than the one it's on now... What the hell are you doing here? Nevermind, I'll answer that for you. You're just trolling. If you came into this thread only to say what a horrible idea it is based on the first third of the OP, then stop typing and go to another thread.

  14. It wasn't nerfed, it was balanced around the new system. The only people who are mad about it are the ones who can't figure out Damage 2.0.

That's quite presumptuous. I, for one, understand quite well how Damage 2.0 works; it's not that complex. I just don't like it. At all. If we were given the new elements separately, or (gods forbid) a choice of whether to combine elements, it would be several times better. If physical cards added a bonus based on whole weapon damage so you could make mixed-type weapons, it would be several times better. Not because it would let people break the game, but because it would give people more options instead of less.

Oh, but I forgot... We disagree with you, so that means we don't understand the True Word of God (DE). I suppose you were one of the masses penitently thanking DE for all their screw-ups.

  15. Reason why I am posting this is because I feel like quitting the game. The game was fun and has alot of potential but needs some balancing and yes, we waited for the balances and waited, but TONS of given balances just gave utter disappointment.

    You and me both.

Acrid, a mastery 7 secondary weapon which was nerfed to oblivion by DE. ... Strun Wraith, yes, another OP gun which was nerfed to oblivion. ... Quick Thinking + Rage combo.

Each of these changes, as well as other weapon/mod changes, show a complete lack of either consideration or talent (hard to tell which; maybe both) for how to balance their own game. The former is detestable. The latter is laughable. Take your pick.

Saryn's viability after Damage 2.0, is absolutely nowhere to be found now.

I originally acquired Saryn because my friend I started with got Rhino and I wanted to try a different tanky frame. As stated, Saryn wasn't very good even in U10, though at least then with Focus and Stretch, I could clear a room with Miasma. (Assuming it wasn't super-high level, but at that point almost no power would wipe a room.) I farmed/built Rhino and stopped using Saryn almost altogether specifically because of her complete lack of anti-CC ability. Getting knocked over what felt like (and actually was on several occasions) every 2-3 seconds got very old, very quickly.

There are still alot to be mentioned but I'll just go with this. Feel free to add guys.

Even setting balance issues aside, just their treatment of updates (or lack thereof) leaves a lot to be desired. Problems that have persisted for months, through multiple versions and several hotfixes... Claiming to be fixed numerous times and never actually fixed, as proven by the many threads from people still experiencing them.

These community voices fall on deaf ears, as DE never addresses these problems, does not maintain an adequate list of known issues, and time and again fails to fix them. It has become apparent, based on observation of their post-update bugs and other results, that there is no quality control for DE's updates, and there isn't any consideration for the bugs that constantly plague the player base.

Through their neglect, incompetence, and silence, DE is consistently showing themselves to be concerned with one thing only: pillaging their player's wallets for as much platinum as they can trick people into buying.

I'm not so hopeful to stick around for U12 and U13 if U11 doesn't get a lot more stuff fixed pretty soon. I'm certain that we're not alone in thinking this way, either.

  16. - Laser Disc MOA's now drop Pathogen Mods

Are they the only enemies that do? If so, that seems incredibly absurd.

    - Fixed Survival mode enemy levels increasing at an astronomic rate.

A problem that should've been caught in standard QC testing finally got fixed. This is good, but pardon me for not jumping for joy.

    - Fixed Ember Prime missing her "prime effect" in the Void.

How is this not one of the first things checked with a new Prime frame? Again, a standard QC problem.

    - Fixed Rage mod activating when shield-only damage is received

A good and legitimate fix, based on its description.

  17. The almost complete silence from DE about this update is deafening.

That's nothing new. Unless they can hype people up about the new stuff they're working on, DE doesn't say a damned thing.

I didn't count, but I'd wager at least half of this thread are people abjectly thanking DE, as if they're full-on worshiping the devs. And this behavior is seen every single update. No thoughts in their heads about the parts of the game that are still broken, and no thoughts about what this update screwed up, either.

We shouldn't have to guess about what DE's intentions are. We shouldn't have to wonder if this change or that change that didn't show up in the patch notes was intentional. We shouldn't have to post huge threads for a week to get any info on what's coming in future patches, what the devs are aware of and working to get fixed. I honestly saw better communication from Square back during my days of playing Final Fantasy XI, and they're one of the most tight-lipped I've ever seen.

DE, your players aren't requesting, we're demanding. Do better, and soon, because any or all of us could leave at any time. The only people with real, heavy investment in this are the founders, and you know what? I really feel for you guys. I think you invested in the wrong people.

  18. I agree with the bad move with Quick Thinking and Rage combo, but seriously, is being near invincible balanced?

The problem people had with it was its use in PvP. And Rage is the part that breaks the combo, not Quick Thinking by itself. There was no good reason to crush QT like they did.

  19. Melee Auto-Targeting System:

    • Allow more customization based on player preference.
    • Add Settings for Auto-lock (Melee Assist), attack toward character facing or camera (Align Attacks To Camera)
    • Auto-turning the camera to face the target (Camera Tracks Melee Target)
    • Do smooth turns when attacking away from a melee target.

Thank you for this! And not to be ungrateful, but after a week of hearing nothing, it's about damned time. Some hints that these settings were in the works would've done a lot of good for us.
