[Mouse and Keyboard not picking up in the game]

I run with two screens and I played the game a few days ago where everything worked just fine. But today with what seemed like a patch update I was "Ok a patch." I load up the game noticing my mouse icon hasn't changed to the one used in the game. I went to type my credentials in and it did not take in a single key nor could I click on the quit game button. The game isn't frozen and I can click in and out of it just fine. It doesn't play a sound when it runs as the background which is normal and I am able to click on the screen which brings the sound back, the camera moves as it should when in the login screen. So i don't know if i happened due to the patch or my system is messed up. It did run perfectly normal a few days ago.
