And what we are discussing is not profane on a cultural level as a slang term to a racial group, or even a slur towards a religion or people .... you are concerned that a word might offend some diety that is supposedly benevolent and above that sort of displeasure, and thus it bothers you because it might bother your imaginary god. I'm not sure that is a very litigious point on which to demand policy change.

[Error 10053]

I am having a recurring issue of the chat server disconnecting me after a few seconds if the chat window closes. This occurs in or out of missions. The error given is 10053, but searching the website has yielded no real information.

I have no other game issues, and in fact the host position on many missions migrates to me since I have a steady connection and good PC.

I tried asking in game after this issue, but I found the community highly unsupportive to say the least, and outright damning as the more common attitude.

I have used this PC on other networks with the same issues, so I am disinclined to dismiss this as a peering issue. I have also fully removed the game and re-installed but with the same results.

The ability to communicate in the game during missions has been reduced to 0, and this is becoming increasingly frustrating while attempting to play with the clan.

Any assistance would be wonderful.

 

-- as a side note, the chat server works fine so long as the chat window is open. I have played chat-frame for several hours with no disconnection. Until I exit to check the foundry and come right back ... then I have the 10-15 second wait while it errors out and re-connects.

I'll buy in trade chat, but that's not going from me directly to DE, so I'm not sure it counts.

 

Edit: Some players talk about how they constantly get forma, and bps from alerts, but that's not entirely practical to the casual player who cant spend that many hours logged in and farming. Most fresh players cant hang in the void for a half hour survival to farm them either.

Is it truly dedication if you are showing up for a scheduled shift at work? Not really ... I'll grant they have decent response times (usually), but they also have sub-par play-testing of content before launch.

 

I'm a founder and have bought plat, so i feel quite justified in being grumpy that I have been totally unable to log into a game I pay for since yesterday evening. If it were a weekday, I may not have noticed, but DE has this annoying habit of pushing content just before a weekend and crashing their own game for the weekend players ... of whom I am one.

While I really like the kubrow, and the mirror images on mirage are awesome ....

 

1. The fact that I cant touch the extractors on mercury and Venus (despite re-running the entire planet) is annoying.

2. The camera angles in the mod screen and while altering appearance are frustrating, since it appears that I am trying to alter my frame while looking over its shoulder instead of AT it.

3. The sheer number of clicks between screens makes the game feel laggy, like when moving from the weapon upgrade screen to the installed mod screen.

4. The lack of an exit button on the login screen shows the optimism on the part of DE, but their lack of realism.

5. The warping around that occurs on the ship while moving between menus is enough to give someone motion sickness, as are the menus that pan and tilt while attempting to navigate them.

6. There are no labels on planets. This is on a star chart that is easier to navigate ...(also see #1)

 

I know this was all to make it easier to access things and to be more intuitive ... but overall it feels broken, and poorly thought out.

Damnit! An hour later, still cant log in ... an no exit button on the login page. I suppose DE thought people would just NEVER have issues logging into the game.

I bought the pack, and I'd like to get the use of the boosters.
