  1. The animation I am thinking could be fun to have is having it paw on the ground, like it's either burying something, or about ready to charge. For this, it would brace itself with one leg as it stands, and then paw at the ground with it's other leg, it's toes spread as it does this. Think like a bull pawing the ground before it charges as close to the animation concept. Could be a stationary animation, or one used when the player uses an emote themselves.

My cat does this with it's front paws all the time.

    Here's my mask!

I tried to incorporate multiple aspects of ostron culture in my mask such as:

    condroc feathers

     ostron wraps

     colors of the Unum's tower

    an iron rose

    and glass shards for Gara!

Everyone did such a good job on their masks, and I'm exited to see who wins!

Image is not displaying (at least not for me). Might want to correct that...

Does it have to be a illustration or can you 3D Model a mask, render and submit that

As far as I understood the rules, you can use any (visual) medium for your submission, as long as it's orginal in the end. AKA: Don't submit someone else's work directly, it needs to be of your own creation.

  4. I'm rather still new to Warframe overall, but this contest inspired me and gave me interest. So, here goes my first post on these forums and also my submission into this contest.

First, I'd like to apologize for the lack of refinement on my piece. But here goes.

The mask is suppose to honor Cetus and what it stands for. While I was thinking, I came up with the following attributes I'd assign to the people of Cetus: Tradition, Honor, Family/bonds of friendship, Promises, Simplicity. After thinking of these aspects that represented the people of Cetus, I had only one solid conclusion, Honor the figure that saved them in their past, the Glass Warrior Gara. So, that is the inspiration of my mask's form and concept.

Now, I also wanted to consider who would be "making" these masks, Nakak, who's masks seem to be more like hand made designs than fabricated pieces. On that note, I couldn't fully draw out what I envisioned of my design, which would make it look hand crafted. (If I am selected, I just hope my concept will be held by the 3D rendering artists.) The missing element I couldn't accurately place into my image was to have the glass mask appear more like cracked pieces, maybe even like a mosaic artwork, though smooth glass also could be appropriate.

I also wished to take inspiration from Gara, without specifically copy/pasting her head. Thus, I've adjusted the position of her glass horns to provide a difference. I also took some inspiration from the Lotus, with a more open mask concept.

So, I present my "Warrior of Glass" mask.

Though not specifically represented here, I also would imagine that, with the hood down option, that the transparent face mask section would vanish, leaving the horns behind. I know there are players who would love to have horn decoration options, and this could be an interesting "fashion frame" option for those players. Color channels would probably be basic, the face mask being one channel, the horns another and maybe the third channel being the glint reflection of the glass. Another channel would probably be the grout that would hold the broken/mosaic glass pieces together, if that concept could be realized.

I wish everyone submitting to this contest luck. A lot of good entries here from what I saw.
