[Just got Mag prime.]

I just got mag prime, maxed her immediately. I've got her build from a friend who is amazing at playing her. The build is fine, far as i can tell, but my results aren't the same. How do i use her? Do i play her a certain way to get the best results? wont say no to build suggestions, either.
