  1. I have to use strict NAT, select different ports on the second console, and allocate port forwarding for each to work. That said, the console on the non-default ports seems to have more issues joining squads and games.

Requires router changes - not for the technically squeamish: -

    - reserve local network IP address for each console, so it's fixed every time
    - set WF options on both to strict NAT
    - set second console to different ports
    - set up port forwarding rules for each
    - network test comes back ok

Maybe the UPNP request isn't seen as unique?

  2. I had a bunch of things queued up on the foundry, some I didn't want immediately, and some I couldn't fit in my inventory.

I put my joypad down on the sofa, and went to get a drink. I come back and I am asked if I want to buy platinum for more slots. So, I found out the hard way that ZR is claim all (not that I ever used it) and apparently I tagged it when I put my joypad down.

Please could you add confirmation to "claim all"? I was forced to quit at this point as it glitched.

    Thanks

  3. After the original host bails on an endless mission, the game transfers, and new host is presented with a "select a relic" screen and a 15 second timer...
...but, the other players who stayed in the squad are not loaded yet, so they miss out on relic selection.

The game needs to acknowledge slow load, and wait some moar.

Edit: Yes, I know we can drop to "work around it", but I can't find similar on other platforms, so this bug is unique to switch it seems.

  4. Okay. So not wanting to call my friend a liar, and finding this thread, I bought a volt. Got it to level 20. Bought a Braton, left unranked.

    No mods in Braton.
    No mods in Volt.
    Companion unequipped.

The specter does NOT instantly kill me with gunfire or abilities.
Volt shields BLOCKS the specter's gunfire and primary ability completely.
If I close to melee range, it CAN inflict fatal damage with the sibear.
In line with the new melee changes, if it equips the sibear, it will begin to auto-block, until range makes it switch back.
So far, so good. This is expected.

In ranged combat, without much effort, I can get the specter to half health through one shield (energy is ~130 at this point). If I stack two shields, it can be downed to about a third of its hit points. Problem is that moves about a lot, so I run out of energy, the shield wears off, and it breaks me with its superior shield regen and ability spam.

It does ice path rarely when it gets midrange, and when it gets close ish but not melee, it will use avalanche. This combo is fatal with low hps, and if you dont have a shield up, being frozen means death.

    To beat it easily: -
Volt: rank 9 [Flow], rank 8 [Intensify] (total of 9 with polarity)
    Braton: rank 10 [serration]
Stay at range, stack three shields up and pelt it in the head, it doesn't last long.

There may be a mod or companion (health link?) related bug out there, but after stripping mods, I can't find an instakill short of its melee (not that you dont lose half your shield getting close), and I can beat it with low requirements.
After I levelled volt and braton to 30, it doesnt last more than a few seconds under a little corrosive fire (serration 10, infected clip 10, stormbringer 10) through shields.

  5. Corpus archwing units charge past at ludicrous speeds right now, at least since debt. Its nearly impossible to build decent melee xp. I've noticed that there is a similar "wings folded" charge behaviour on regular ospreys in land missions, somehow related?
Conversely, Grineer units are much slower than I remember, making their archwing missions trivial.

Wolf isn't strong. Wolf is a bland-ass bullet-sponge that outputs absolutely no significant threat, he just sits there and eats half an hour of your time.

He has no damage output, he just has a couple billion HP and exorbitant armour so that he doesn't die. He's just sitting there and in some cases, he's making it impossible to continue your mission.

    ^^ this

I am on the switch, and I find myself running missions alone more often (pub, not solo) and get Wolf a lot - typically when lvling new weapons. I wait for a bit, mostly no-one else joins, so I get bored after 5 mins, complete the objective, or quit if defence, as he locks completion.

I'll help ppl out if in a team, but I am of the opinion it is just not a good use of my game time.

  7. The standard codex scanner is pretty redundant from this point forwards. Unequip and sell them.
It does take a second or 2 to scan each node, but if you're not getting any noise pitch change at all when the synthesis scanner zooms in on a node, either you're using the standard scanner, there's a bug, or you are not pressing right lower trigger.

Always pack a bunch of kinetic siphons - you'll need them.

  8. Glitched how and where? Bug details, man.

I had this once in the "protect the myconians" on the last stage, when my escorts got stuck on what looked like an inprovised medical bay with some myconians laying on the floor. They couldnt navigate round and would not open the door. I restarted the mission and the order of locations were different, so the escorts never got stuck second time round.

  9. I started with volt. Stun with lightning at max range, put up a shield, keep stunned with lightning, arrows to the head.

Sure, took a few attempts to work out a strategy, but definitely not a bug. Not nearly as annoying as Saryn was on the Sedna junction, and solved that being instakilled with more vitality, which I'd neglected to upgrade for an age.

Confirmed that this is a bug - friend uses a level 30 volt and is instakilled every time. Frost's cold proc from his gun pretty much kills volt dead.
I tried my level 30 mag with zero mods, just stood in the middle, and frost took about 15-20 seconds of fire/abilities to bring me down.
Friend was a bit upset at this point and gave up.

Pretty sure this didnt happen to me when I ran it (a month or more ago)

  10. Think about it for a second. Firearms cause my over-the shoulder 3rd party view to wobble. I am a hovering third party. This is not first person, which is one of the main reasons why there is less "weight" - sound and visuals are always from the third person.

Warframes use the powers of magnetism, antimatter, blood, a stomp so hard that time freezes, can fall hundreds of meters without damage, and people still chose to be pedantic about firearms realism.

I asked for the consideration that recoil is now a pointless feature. Is it detracting from fun? Yes. Does it make a difference to high end guns? No.

  11. Has anyone ever tried a long burst full auto weapon like the Gorgon? Doesn't the screen jiggle just get a bit annoying and is borderline vomit inducing when laggy?

Why do we even have recoil? It certainly isn't realistic or consistent, and certainly isnt fun to constantly tap the thumbstick to compensate. In the very least, reduce the accuracy and widen the crosshair, but stop moving the screen.

  12. The console appears to suffer performance issues during extreme physics. Lets face it, explosions and some WF abilties cause very extreme ragdoll reactions in certain maps, and both framerate and performance suffers as a result.

Easy to reproduce solo - crash at high speed on a k-drive driving onto the western facing boost ramp from the end of the east coolant lake outside Fortuna - if you follow Boon's k-drive course, it typically happens anyway.
Your warframe ragdolls and throws itself skywards at extreme speed, often stretching limbs from the launch point, FPS drops massively, and occasionally it simply freezes and teleports you to where you "land" several seconds later.

If you attempt this when joined to a hosted squad, WF sometimes just crashes, or more often than not, just lags worse than solo, and eventually teleports to where you land.

The switch is a decent console, but PhysX capable it isn't. Whatever CPU based emulation of this is in the current version needs replacing with something less extreme and stressful.
