    To be honest, I have never gone into sorties looking for a certain thing. So I haven't ever really gotten something I didn't want, unless it was an unairu lens. I just know that many people have problems with the sortie rewards, including many of my friends. You also have to remember that a 10% drop rate for an item in a pool with more than 10 items is actually pretty decent chances. If one item has a 50% drop chance, that would mean that the other 12 or so items have to be split between the other 50%, as you can't have more than a 100% total without getting the chance for multiple drops at the end of the sortie.

    So yes, it would be like a 10% drop chance, but considering the size of the whole reward pool, the only realistic way for people to have better chances to get what they want while still having a chance to get other stuff would be to either split the larger pool into smaller pools with separate chances within them, or to have a single smaller pool for the sorties, and add ways to get the other items in a different reward pool.

  2. Okay, so I had thrown this comment onto the latest 19.1.0 update thread, but figured that I should probably throw it into it's own post. I've also added a bit to the post since my OP. Here's a link to the original post

    I personally feel like the endo rewards should be like the lens rewards. If it were to roll for what kind of reward you'd get (endo, lens, mod, etc.) and then do a second roll within each sub-type, that might work a bit better. I know that many people have gotten endless 2k endo drops, but until riven mods were a thing, the only reason I was even doing sorties was for the endo.

    Here's kinda an example of what i'm talking about where each tier is a pool to roll from. I don't know what would have to go into this, but it might be something good to try out.

    You could probably add in percentages for the drops within each group, so for example

    • ...
    • Potato 20%
      • Yellow Tater 50%
      • Blue Tater 30%
      • Forma 20%
      • ...
    • ...

    This meaning that of all of the groups, the potato family has a 20% drop change, and within that group, reactors have 50%, catalyst have 30%, and formas have 20%. I don't know how easily that could be done with the existing code, but it would be something worth trying out just to see how well it'd work.

    Another thing that might help to stop the RNG burnout for those that are unlucky would be to possibly make the drop rates change depending on drops that the player hasn't received lately. (excluding the legendary core) So let's say that a player has been farming and farming for that Riven mod they've always dreamed of, and they just keep getting lenses and endo, it could possibly make the drops that they haven't seen in a while (ie: Riven mod, potato, booster) show up a bit more.

    really? so you just need to do 2 missions without alarms in either? can you tell me how you did it? (I know loki, but which mission, and how did you do the sabo?)

    BTW didnt get time to look for the thing so I'd like to know how do you get those KUBA things which is required for crating the weapons.

    The problem isn't the alarms, I was running sabotages on venus for them. The mod wants me to get FOUR of them in one mission, when you can only get THREE of them in one mission

  6. I re-rolled my Riven Mod for my Zarr, and I got a new one that wants me to get 4 caches in a single mission without triggering alarms. How am I supposed to do this when there are a max of 3 resource caches in the sabotage missions, and every time you complete the sabotage the alarms trigger automatically. It took me 3 hours just to get the 900 kuva to reroll the thing. Do I just have to sell the mod that I maxed out for endo and hope that I get a new one for the same weapon in a sortie that'll probably not drop a riven mod?

  7. So I finished TWW and I thought it was an amazing story and fantastic update. I recieved my rewards and saw the new fancy purple mod thingy. After I unlocked the thing (it was a rifle mod and didn't specify) I went back to my ship and saw that it said that it was locked at MR13, and I can't equip it on anything. (even though i'm MR14) I don't know if this is a bug or what, but any help would be appreciated.

    You needed a loki? I soloed it with nothing but a Level 1 excalibur with a Level 1 skana m9

     

    jk, but I did solo the missions with my Limbo Prime... now i'm waiting to solo the nightmares that come from these missions while i'm sleeping, i'm scurd

Today, August 27th, around 4:30 I was leveling my Nyx on the Pluto Dark Sector Defense, and around the 4th time running the mission, It loaded into the Corpus Snow tile set, where the pod was missing, and instead of the health bar for it on the left, it showed the progress bar for interception missions. Several players joined me, and saw the same problem.

Recently I have installed WarFrame semi-successfully in wine 1.7.10 on my ubuntu 13.10 boot (I wanted it on my ubuntu boot because of my framerate issues in Win7), but I was having the same problems, so I decided to reinstall it on my windows boot. I only had to reinstall it on my windows boot because I reformatted the drive that warframe was on when I upped my storage for ubuntu.

     

    So, My problem:

     

    1.     and I had found myself to be nothing but the sheild effect that goes over the character model with nothing but my emblems rendered.   (note that the world isnt rendered black, it is more comepletely transparent with me only able to see the Space that is outside of whatever I am on...)

     

    2.     sometimes, I would walk into a room, and it would be somewhat rendered with many walls/objects being noting but a black texture

I have finally gotten Warframe to run on my linux boot, with a few complications:  most textures are either black, or completely transparent ingame (star map is fine) and there is no sound (at startup of the game after the launcher, it says that I am missing xAudio2, which should be the xact) and, I can only run the game by doing  "wine msiexec /i /Downloads/Warframe.msi" instead of the launcher...

     

    Distro: Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander

    Wine Version:  1.7.10

    Graphics Card: Intel Integrated Graphics >3000   (Yes, I know that it is bad)
