  1. Hello,

I wanted to disclaim I’m an avid destiny player but I got my start in Warframe over 5 years ago. I’ve been through a lot of the changes some good really good others not so much but one of those that wasn’t so good after many breaks and lulls of not playing I hope would get looked at and that’s the gunplay. Overall in my opinion none of the guns in Warframe actually feel good to use as in there’s no ability synergy or loop that a gun adds to. A while back the the team decided to nerf ammo economy overall I think this was dumb change because it wasn’t necessarily effective in anything but for narrowing the pool of viable weapons.

A good example is since these changes I haven’t used anything that has a low pool of ammo like the proboscis cernos or even the acceltra prime it’s pointless because ammo is so sparse. In my opinion weapons should’ve been family tuned or specifically tuned rather than blanket nerfs. There is no mitigating the ammo changes for some weapons and the game is worse for it. I’ve only used battery weapons like kitguns or weapons with ammo mechanics. But the issue is that at base level most weapons aren’t fun to shoot. For example base phenmor is a terrible gun no one would really want to use it that state. Things like “scout rifles” or “snipers” feel terrible in this game. The game has evolved in a direction where single target weapons don’t just feel terrible to sight up and shoot they’re a liability in the horde style combat in Warframe.

But to get back to sighting up and shooting I want to point out incarnons. Overall grineer have teeny tiny headshot hit boxes and as warframe doesnt have any of the gunplay special sauce that destiny does its a chore to put it lightly to use incarnons with a controller in hand amongst the hordes and overall fast paced combat in the game. Some like the boar prime fare well enough but weapons like the laetum and phenmor feel like garbage to use for the majority of the time you have then equipped. In a game where you can affect the speed of mobs and teleport across the map you really want me to stop all of that to use this peeshooter that spits out one bullet to get it to evolve for 5 seconds. In my opinion Incarnons only really surfaced the lack of console controller design in gunplay and although itd be nice if we could all click individual pixels of some random mobs head some of us simply cannot. There is no magnetism or useable zoom when sighting the lack of iteration on gunplay over the years just really makes playing for more than once a week a chore because the lack of fun weapon/ability synergy. Incarnons only being operated through precision hits is the worst choice you could have made. It even violates the reasoning de uses for nerfing things which is if something becomes the only way to play its a problem. Precision shots in a poorly developed gunplay situation is not a good thing.

Warframe used to be my main game but I just cant anymore I always get to a point where I feel like my guns just suck to use and the direction the studio is going in with incarnons are just way too uninspiring. It used to be fun to shoot proboscis cernos to navigate the rhythm of fully pulling it but now because it has no reserves and just shooting a gaze or vermisplicer in the direction if mobs is easier than running out of ammo having to use a secondary until you randomly find 2 arrows which in combat is inconsequential. Mitigating your ammo changes just isn't worth it. Guns need love they need to be fun to play to aim and shoot please consider revert the bad ammo changes and giving gunplay especially for controller a serious pass.

  2. The viral damage nerfs go way too far. Nerfing for popularity is the worst type of nerf possible it doesn’t perform out of any ordinary Warframe ability loop. Completely unnecessary. I’m a vet have everything this just kills motivation to play. These are the worst kind of nerfs because it’s just devs looking for something as opposed to something being exploited.

  3. Got to say I’m pretty sick of these garbage tier challenges and literally I’ve opened 30+ rivens to view the challenges and 26 were headshot related. It’s just beyond infuriating to get dupe after dupe and you can only open one at a time it’s just a terrible experience. Console precision shooting sucks it’s slow and tedious the gunplay needs work but the regularity of these challenges need to be nerfed into the ground it makes me turn the game off with the constant dupes of these kind of challenges. Take them out of the game most boring thing I’ve wasted my time on in Warframe.

  4. I’ve been a proponent of skill based matchmaking but for the playerbase’s size I don’t think that’s realistic. Noobs with all noobs would make the game appear overly hard and there would be no example of what can be achieved with a warframe.

    Hi,

I'm tired of this war between people who use stuff with a high kps (kps == kill per second) and those who don't. Saryn, Mesa, Ignis, Kuva Bramma, ... there is no shortage of examples of people who complain about not killing because they can't use or don't want to use the stuff for and instead moan to make these stuffs to be nerf up to the marrow.

So, why not give the players the choice to choose the stuf they want or don't want to go in squad with ? A simple list of the existing stuff with a checkbox telling the public matchmaking not to put them in a squad using one of the checked stuff (unless player itself use one of the checked stuff, of course). If they don't encounter theses stuffs, they should make kill again and stop to complain about "OP" stuff that prevent them to kill ?

    No ?

Ah cause you’re so arrogant that you just know you’d carry everyone. Flexing your in game muscles feels good huh little man. Pathetic.

    Not gonna happen.

Have you not seen DE Pablo's recent interview?

DE is currently considering (for some time maybe) nerfing the Tenno, not Corpus.

SPECIALLY given that the Deadlock Protocol is incoming.

You kinda made this post at the wrong time in warframe, mate.

That sucks for real. I thought about this and I don’t doubt what you’re saying but that kinda resets a lot of things like the armor and shield gating updates and why nerf Tenno if the challenge is gonna come with the new hard mode? It just seems a little conflicting. I’ll just do what I normally do avoid the next update until the forums do there thing and DE reverts it or something. There’s always rumors of nerfs (Fulmin) so we’ll see if it materializes. Thanks for the info.

  7. First of all thank you for some of the recent changes made to the game I appreciate them.

Tonight I wanted to make an ongoing issue I’ve had with the open world design know and what I generally believe makes them not fun at times. From the very first time I walked into the POE I was instantly pissed off. Why because for some reason every enemy on the map knows where I am. This is just not good and not enjoyable. From mr 0 to now 25 I still hate the fact that even in open spaces I’m being hunted as if I did something to aggro the entire map. So tonight I took my Mesa doing phase 2 of profit taker please bare in mind I used this same build for Scarlett Spear and faced up to and most likely beyond lvl 120 enemies. So tonight get in a mission last target I get melted not once but twice out of nowhere from lvl 40-60 enemies. This is bs sorry. Corpus on the vallis need a massive nerf the problem seems to be just bad ai and overtuned dmg output and it needs to go away. The random damage spike makes no sense. The predominant problem is instant targeting and accuracy. Another thing besides the entire map aggro that needs to change with the general approach is what I call the “throw the kitchen sink at em” approach with both open worlds (more so in the vallis) this just doesn’t make sense to attract the entire map especially in smaller groups or solo how do you manage with bad mechanics like instant targeting and zero dmg falloff. Please just nerf vallis. Shield gating gets negated entirely and enemy damage output is off the charts. I’ve not even taken this kind of damage an hour into a Kuva survival. I truly believe the corpus in the vallis specifically need a massive nerf and the overall approach to how we interact with enemies needs a revise. It would be so much better if mining hunting or fishing just wasn’t interrupted by some random enemy that came out of nowhere. This affects profit taker so much how do you ant us to manage when your throwing everything at us plus profit taker to deal with and in an instant 50 enemies are there. I’m not saying that multiple enemies are a novel thing but the throw the everything at em in orb vallis just not enjoyable and makes the vallis uniquely undesirable to play because it’s the worst as far as these issues. Lastly since I experienced this on the vallis tonight is magnetic and electric prods need a nerf as well in the general game and in the vallis. Please nerf duration or the amount of effect because to lose all my 500 energy is way too much across the board and especially when the 100 energy restore take 30 minutes of farming poly and maybe another for the nano spores. Please make these places and activities enjoyable to do. Wanted to say with all the recent updates the star chart as a whole has become very fun and I believe that the things I’ve talked about are merely outliers that when dealt with will add themselves to yet another turn around in Warframe making them enjoyable at every mr.

  8. Hi I wanted to ask about making polearm skins available for staves. I can’t think of a reason it may not be viable but with so many great options weapons like my plague keewar want some options as well. Second hopefully is to use pistol skins with the nukor. The cumulus skin seems like an amazing alternative to the standard kuva nukor. Just a humble request from a overly picky fashion framer.

an again, this is because there is nothing to put materials into, trade for. they built a house on bad foundations. an they just keep adding rooms.

an they dont want people to blitz thru their content. well for 1, its not hard content. 2 half the time it wouldn't matter because its time gated anyways. 3. they only just figured out a progression system. an Etc.

materials hording stems from the bad economy design, dev fault not players. players blitzing content. Dev fault not players.
they constantly move the blame to the players as to why they have to do this and bandaid that, 1 new material every now an then wouldn't be bad. adding 20 new materials that have a shelf life. for a game mode with a shelf life... thats bad.

if content had replayability then the stock piling wouldn't be a issue, if we had something to spend materials on consistently. not a issue.
the Intrinsic system, thats something they should use. its a better system then "here is 30 more materials to farm in a already dead economy"

if we had stuff to spend it on that gave something back in return, done something for game play. then people would spend the materials.

DE is constantly blaming players for blitzing content or hording materials.. thats all a by product of their short comings.

as for the stupidity that is the Hema and Sibear. ill sum it up like i did easlier. non scaling resource thats only obtained from 1 game mode. an the other is a very low drop item (1-2) of a rare item that had drop issues after 15 minutes was a pure $&*^ head move. thats also a 1 of resource sink. you dont need to sink rare materials that you have bugger all of into something overly expensive. a resource sink should be for abundant resources, like nano spores. no one would have cared if the hema needed 500k spores. but 5k mutagen samples, when at beast you might get 2-4 (depending on booster an loot frame). hell if i saw the Hema had 800k ferrite, 500k spores and 500 mutagen samples. it be keen as to do that. hell id rank up my clan to make it more challenging. you dont resource sink rare low drop an non scaling stuff. thats not only a resource sink but a time sink. that was just bone headed.

It’s crazy how they are putting more effort in slowing players down with grind than making quality time worry content. I just did the season 1 and warlords dlc to the division 2. That game has such a good and understandable implementation of modes, resources and systems. I’m as never too lost making builds or changes to core attributes like forma. Killing magus lockdown, venari all while the community waits in dread for the next patch or like me for the Scarlett stain to land is just adding to a running list of DE taking away fun more than adding to it.

In what world should a new player have loads of arcanes? I didn't even start getting arcanes until I was MR16 2+ years ago with Law of Retribution, before PoE and the Eidolons became a thing.

As for arcanes at low ranks... They aren't useless, they just aren't as strong as you want them to be. Any arcane is better than no arcane when you first start getting them. The whole point of arcanes having ranks is to make you want to farm more and increase their effects for stronger builds.

And finally, just because there are people that appreciate the rank and power increase on many arcanes, like Velocity, Momentum, Acceleration, status arcanes, etc, doesn't make them a fool or a jerk in anything but your own opinion. There are obviously still problems with arcanes feeling inconsistent to use or just feel bad due to not being able to refresh effects or having low procc chances. Aegis feels amazing to use when it proccs, but it only works on frames that can get high shield counts and/ or damage resistance. Energize feels kinda meh to use and could benefit from another look at the cooldown. Pulse is useless. Guardian would probably benefit from allowing it to refresh but removing power elsewhere.

I don't know what else to say to someone that basically spits in the face of someone giving constructive criticism. Good luck I guess?

That’s exactly the problem it’s shouldn’t take 2+ years to get anything. Your not playing a game your working a part time job and that’s being generous. Warframe as a whole is built to the convenience of players like you who are already 2+ years and were playing at the launch of newer content but what’s left after that is an insane grind that isn’t fun. Both of us already had arcanes but after this changes what new player will want to wait for broken Scarlett spear or attempt broken eidolons. The grind and the plat trap the devs leave behind is NOT FUN or fair! As a player experiencing these changes I can say what needs to be because I don’t want new Tenno being turned off and not even attempting because the changes leave the odds so stacked up against you. Warframe is fun with friends why make content inaccessible and then as a players encourage it.

I took my time to try the new arcane system before putting this text down. So here is my feedback about lots of them. ( I didn't try all of them as some don't fit my game style ).

First in global. The new Rank 5 arcane is super insane to have it max rank. If you were a player already playing 2 different set of arcane like ( Strike + Fury ). Then this is just a buff for you. And it pretty sick. Cause buff is always nice.
Having the double of the same arcane equipped remove hurt when you were fan of a very niche and specific game play. But the up from rank 3 to rank 5 did the job to re balance that. So I'm not complaining too much.
But not all Arcane got what they deserved.

    Now more point to point.

-Arcane elemental proc protection is amazing now. Having 100% protection against proc. Just yes ! No more Radiation or Magnetic that are annoying. No more Toxin for high damage resistance frame. In short. This really add a real interest in them. So again yes.

-Arcane for weapon buff ( Strike - Momentum - Fury - Tempo - Velocity - Precision . . . ) . They just got a buff in global. So not much to say except of just being happy to have more powerful arcane

-Arcane mobility buff . They are ok now. Proc chance isn't bad or isn't too difficult to do. And duration it "mmmmmh ok" maybe should have a little more duration to really appreciate the buff of it.

-Arcane Bodyguard : Finally a way to heal our Sentinel ! A bit sad it has to be as arcane slot and not companion mod. But better than nothing.

-Arcane for shield. They just very poor. They both on very low proc chance 3% for Aegis and 6% for Barrier. Having them low is not the actually real problem. The real problem is to have that low proc chance AND a reset timer. You just can't use their benefice at they full potential.
Even if we are using Hildryn and have an insane among of shield recharge on the proc for any of both. As soon as the reset timer hit. You will face 2 problems. 1st having to wait for the time, 2nd having to proc again those arcane on very low chance. Trust me you will lose hope to have them proc.
If this arcane was test in simulacrum style test. Please try in real game mode to understand the problem explained.

I also want to add a very disappointment note about arcane Barrier.

Barrier drop is one of the rarest drop from Hydrolyst boss. Maybe the strongest boss of the game. Barrier is a legendary level Arcane. And its trade at max rank is 2.100.000 credit. This is like an end game item. So just why it is so weak ? Its so weak that it's trading price was x10 lower than the 2 other legendary level arcane and for years. It has its little up interest during Hildryn release and Shield gating update. But the reset timer on this Arcane just screw it viability so now its x5 lower than other only.

-Arcane Guardian : Before I would say. "Yes this arcane is strong because you can play low armor frame and not be too squishy whereas this arcane isn't that good because if your squishy frame don't have the proc anymore than you will surely die before you get the chance to proc it". At least it was viable on most low armor frame as long as you maintain the proc duration. Which was highly do able in Survival mode style.

Now you have 100% chance to lose the proc and as soon as you lose the proc you become squishy enough to just die before you get the chance to proc it back.
Which leave the choice to use this Arcane on frame that are already tanky only. Or to buff ability based on armor like Nezha or Rhino.
I would rather have a lower chance to proc this arcane instead of having a timer reset on it.

-Arcane Ultimatum and Tanker : They are very appreciable now. Many will say they are over powerful. I would say they are ok due to the gameplay you have to adopt in other to play them. So they good as they are.

-Arcane Pulse : I believe the 14sec reset timer on it, is to nerf Nekros passive. But this isn't a nerf that it got, you guy simply killed this arcane. No point to play it now. Why ?

Because Health orb are way too rare on drop to rely on this arcane for anything else than Nekros. And now that Nekros lost interest in this Arcane. This Arcane is just good to be never ever play.
Not counting that we are not seeking for healing. That is for newish player and Arcane aren't newish player item.

-Arcane Energize : Ok I know this arcane is very popular. But can't stand the reset timer on it. Give it lower proc chance if needed. Lower Energy pool like 75 instead of 150. But remove the reset timer. Here is the why.
Considering that energy orb drop are already kinda rare. It is very not common to proc energize. So usually the timer isn't a problem. FALSE. If you happen to drop another Energy orb and obviously miss collect it with "Vaccum" while the timer still on reset. The frustration to know that you 100% miss a chance to re-proc is just horrible.
Second reason. Specific way to play to get extra energy orb in other to sustain our energy (Exemple : Sahasa kubrow, Ember (Exothermic) lost all purpose with Energize.

    To conclude my feedback.

Overall this rework is fantastic but lots of Arcane that received a reset timer on it, lost some specific gameplay around them. Leaving them only the rough gameplay. And would be better trade to remove the timer reset at the cost of proc chance or buff number if the arcane is considered too strong.
I didn't mention a load of arcane. That is because I just got nothing to say about them neither good, bad, weaker or stronger.

    Thank you for reading

I can’t tell you how much I think comments like this and the thoughts that lead to them are 1. shutting the door on new players by making de think the grind is fair and 2. allowing them to think the content is suitable therefore that’s the standard that they produce. It’s mind blowing to pay them a complement to a change that adds more grind to an event that may never be fair or work correctly. Man I respectfully call you a fool. All of these arcanes are useless at low ranks so why farm them. Have fun at the top jerk.

  12. I like this but the implementation has to be done right. A big problem is the cursor in mission. It needs to snap on and not clip back and forth between two items. I really get salty when I wanna do a fast action but can’t just quite right get it on the right item because of the cursor. This change would just be visual if the system doesn’t make it efficient to select with a joystick. Just my two sense.

Sarcasm aside, this is just another reason that we cannot have actual discourse - this rush to extremes.

It's fine to not like the game, it's fine to complain about the things you don't like, IMO.

But just after a patch drops, if you think making yet another "I am dissapoint" thread is, in any way, constructive when there are real ways to give real feedback, then I have oceanfront property in AZ to sell you.

Sure, people have every right to make frivolous complaint threads ... does not mean they will not get shown for what they are ... why should they be given anything else beyond the same dismissive tones and ridicule they toss out?

It's a game. A free one at that. If it really upsets you, then walk away or buy the company and change things, or post your coherent ideas in the places where they can be constructive...anything else is just forum jousting...

The thing is we don’t need to its simple DE IS dead fair free to play is dead all that’s left is salt. Your kinda doing the pot calling the kettle round. Your criticism is just a cyclical thing that’s just as pointless as salt. Your making more nothing bro and complaining about people complaining.

  14. Please revert these changes or give them fully upgraded. Its a real slap in the face to add grind to something (Eidolons) so frustrating and rng. Steve said that you all weren’t tying to add grind anymore. The arcanes are so useless now at lower ranks. The grind was over before the change it should stay over. ESPECIALLY if  Scarlett Spear is anything like plague it’s just not worth that the countless hours. This game needs to be rewarding not a search for or short moments of fun. Warframe is not a job to its players so stop this stuff.

  15. Bramma needs either a different sound in squad member audio or a mute entirely I’ve been straight aborting because in long murmur farms it’s headache inducing. Especially when you’re all running after the same target and that one guy can’t stop shooting arrows killing himself and annoying the whole party. Please nerf it to nothing. Ty.
