I just lost 30k focus and a slew of relics from this, as well as 30 levels on 3 different items (each) (farming because I have an affinity booster active). The bug occurred when I and another player chose to continue a void fissure defense but the host chose not to. From the players perspective this is pretty intolerable. That's well over an hour of my life I chose to put into the game that I'd take back if I could, especially since I had an affinity booster active.
From the other perspective, if the game can show my loot before I leave the match, that means the data is ending up on client side at SOME point. Why in the *(insert choice expletive)* can't THAT data be saved and used for loot calculation if the server connection determines it encounters a fatal error? I understand that relying on client side leaves open the opportunity for cheating but there must be a way to rectify this.
" As you commented, in endless mission where you can extract whenever you want, If the game can't ensure you won't loose the [connection] with host again and loose rewards, It should make you the host for your session so you can extract and not loose the rewards. "
This is THE best solution. If the data is already on your computer, then YOU should be able to become the host. Otherwise why would I risk playing multiplayer and losing out in a few minutes/hours time? -
I also have 2 instances of the "Mow them down" daily in my Nightwave. When I kill enemies with my primary they both uptick, but they always reset in a few minutes time.
