  1. Ever since the newest hotfix, as soon as I exit the update screen and begin loading the game, it freezes, it doesn't even finish fading into the background art of the Kubrow and Mirage... A fix for this would be greatly appreciated!

  2. I really don't care if we get any kind of present, I just want to be able to maintain a connection to the server. Only 3 out of 17 times I tried to log in today were successful. It just seems to be an unusually long-taking fix, especially because Digital Extremes is pretty good at squashing these major bugs quickly. Oh well, I'm sure they have their reasons

  3. The Sentients:

A galaxy dominated by war between the Tenno, Grineer, and Corpus destroying planets and societies throughout the ages. The Old War gave life to a new war as well as caused the extinction of the Orokin and Sentients; or so it seems. However, what if the Sentients still remained? Watching, planning, waiting for the opportunity to seize control... When the fray reached it's apex, as Project Tethra wreaked havik on the Corpus and Tenno, The Sentients took action.

The Sentients, having stolen and modified the Warframes of vanquished Tenno, quickly dominated the warzone with frames enhanced with both Orokin technology and their own. Even though they were relatively small in number, their attacks were quick, vicious, and undeniably effective. Project Tethra's offensive quickly became all but non-existent, while the Corpus withdrew into the cores of various planets. The Tenno attempted to retreat to their clans, but many were slain and made examples of.

Time went by, the Tenno, Grineer, and Corpus factions all began to dwindle and fade, but continued to be hunted. While many Tenno who survived, surrendered The Sentients in fear for their lives. Was this it? Was this the end for the Tenno?

The Stalker reached out to the Tenno one fateful afternoon, asking for a temporary truce, sourced by pure desperation. The Stalker also ended up negotiating a temporary truce between the Tenno, Grineer, and Corpus. And then they prepared, harvesting whatever Orokin technology they could scrounge up and prepared for battle.

The Grineer took the front lines, the Tenno soon followed with more specific targets, and the Corpus provided backup while being in charge of food, shelter, supplies, and resources. The fighting was fierce, but they drove The Sentients back to wherever they had come from. But, to this day, they might return again...

I wanted to write a lot more, but only five paragraphs.. Meh

  4. I don't expect melee 2.0, or Warframe at all to be as fluid or intense. I just hope that melee 2.0 has that "Wow" factor, at least if it's barely there. Although I have no doubt that DE is doing there best to satisfy the players, I figured I would suggest a "guide", for lack of a better word. I think what I'd most like to see is chain moves and combos, and maybe different animations for different frames; but that's just what I would like to see and isn't necessarily something I expect is on DE's priority list.

As much as I love Warframe, it just seems that qualities like stealth and melee are not focused on as I expected them to be. Although I understand the decision for lack of an in-depth cover system due to Warframe's mob style gameplay. Maybe, it's just me but melee just feels a bit lacking; and I do have relatively high hopes for melee 2.0; however, I myself work with Cryengine, as a 3D artist/environment designer, and have contributed work to a few projects, and when something new is released and drastically changed, it seems that it's pretty rare that it's perfect the first go around.

That's just my take on this; and I think I'm just in a MGRR obsession phase that I'm sure will pass after I finally kill Senator Armstrong. :p

  5. I honestly find melee far too boring, and considering that these are ninjas, I would think that there should be quite a bit more reliance on melee than there is.

I just played through Metal Gear Rising Revengeance, and the combat style is INCREDIBLE, something that would be ideal for Warframe, at least imo. It's just with Warframe's melee, the enemies who actually use it suck and die in one or two hits. Also, the animations don't have any "WOW!" factor to them, and there's, like, only four different animations.

I just think that DE should take that fast-paced epic melee-based gameplay and apply it to the melee system. It's not all about damage, but the experience, too.

I wouldn't mind seeing combo attacks, either. That would make things much more entertaining, and maybe add more combos through various additional mods?

    Just some thoughts of mine.

  6. Hello, since I updated to Update 12 last night, my computer has stalled up on me several times in-game. I hope this is something that I can resolve, because I really do enjoy the game, but I can't play it if it will kill my computer.

If it helps, here are my specs:

    CPU: Intel Core I7-4770K

    Motherboard: MSI Z87M Gaming

    GPU: MSI/AMD Radeon R9 290

Primary Drive (Where game is installed): Samsung 840 Pro 256GB SSD

    Memory: 12GB DDR3 1800Mhz

Operating System: Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit

    Network: Qualcomm Killer E2205

So, obviously, this isn't because my system can't handle the game.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

  7. I just want something super challenging! But I feel that four Tenno wouldn't be the same as four stalkers, because stalker is only fitted with that one set of weapons and abilities, it's kind of boring, imo.

Something varied, so it keeps the players guessing.

  8. I've been playing a few ODAs lately and I find that it's too easy, at least with a group of people; but then I thought of something: A Rogue Tenno Squad.

So, I'm thinking that there would be a group of four rogue Tenno (randomly chosen), each of which is level 30+ plus two extra polarizations on it, with the best mods and weapons that compliment that warframe.

I just feel like this would be a much more epic and climactic fight than just killing a giant monster, and also much more challenging.

It also seems like every faction just gets along with each other, which in real life there is always going to be rogues and disgruntled people in an army or organization.

  9. If you are still willing to get the texture files in .tga (I saw your comment on my steam profile), I may send you a link to a ,rar file with female textures once it is uploaded to my dropbox.

Think about optimization of the game. Your specs have to be as highest as possible so they can handle a lot of resources during one session. I am not sure if it is possible to change textures of the game at all, I never tried it.

Yes, I am definitely still willing to get the texture files.

And well I assume that with other games, there could just be more texture options to choose from (low, medium, high, ultra), and while working on the game I've currently been working on, the plan is important textures (warframes, guns, enemies, etc) Would be the highest quality, and then drop the quality little by little if necessary.

However, I don't think that it might even be necessary, I mean a great example is the Metro series, all of those are 2K textures, and sure it's a demanding game, but it's not overly so, Crysis 3 puts Metro LL to shame when it comes to performance killing. And if you think about it, the textures for each stage in Warframe aren't very diverse, a lot of areas use the same textures. And if the Evolution Engine is anything like Cryengine, reusing the same textures in an environment drastically reducing performance loss than if you were using a different texture for everything. Because the images only need to be loaded one time in a game, but the engine just allows the already loaded textures to be attached to multiple meshes, but this takes much MUCH less processing power. So there should only need to be optimization to an extent, but that all depends on how the textures are handled in the Evolution Engine, which I will do a bit of research about, if there's information.

  10. In this tread i'd like to collect flaws, that obviously (without argue) hinder Warframe and cause a lot of complaint from players. This is sort of TL;DR of many topics both in various Feedback and General discussion. Feel free to add your ideas, but remember: if it's something that you don't like and many people do, it won't be added.

I hope that keeping such short list before DE's eyes will help them to shift development priorities into right order.

As a result of list size becoming too big to easily search through, i'm adding a short version at the beginning:

                                                                                              TL;DR:

    0) Lack of End-game content.

    1) Terrible (unfinished) tutorial.

    2) Armor scaling

    3) Void and Derelicts -  locked behind invite system.

    4) Infestation Outbreaks - repetitiveness, constant conflict.

    5) Survival credit rewards - joke or trolling?

    6) Melee elemental visuals - still not optional.

    7) Sanity check of cardinal game mechanic changes.

    8) Skillful gameplay isn't rewarded.

    9) AI requires improvement.

    10) Mastery levels give players almost nothing.

    11) Bleed proc damage - it still bypasses shields.

    12) Polarity order hindering possibility to archieve elemental combos.

    13) Knockdown/Stagger stunlock.                                                                                                  Stagger is sort of fixed

    14) Stalker as it is now is an RNG-based gear-check and is not a fun enemy to face.

    15) Mod system punishes diversity instead of rewarding it.

    16) Lack of diversity in each warframe behaviour/performance.

    17) Music. It really needs rework.

    18) Major chat system issues.

    19) Sniper scopes.

    20) Orokin Derelict Survival issues.

                                                                                              Detailed list:

    0) Lack of End-game content.

I hope you don't think that Endless Defence and Endless Survival are real end-game?

    1) Terrible (unfinished) tutorial.

Total lack of game mechanic explanations - mods, damage, forge, market, social features. DE, you are losing new blood. Not everyone is reading Wiki. Being a beta isn't an excuse in this case.

    2) Armor scaling.

It's still here to stalk you. Namely one of the reasons Damage 1.0 failed to become balanced, somehow it lives in Damage 2.0. I seriously consider someone from other development studios sabotaging DE's work. Can't find another logical explanation.

    3) Void and Derelicts -  locked behind both keys and invite system.

While key system is arguable (it has it's own topics, i'm NOT talking about it here); lack of public groups is constantly hindering gameplay. Nothing so hard to implement Towers and Derelicts as nodes.

    4) Infestation Outbreaks - repetitiveness, constant conflict between people, who want battle pay and people, who want normal, long lasting Infested Defence or Survival.

Multiple solutions were suggested, but none implemented (reducing number of missions down to 3 is NOT a solution). Most popular solutions:  manual separation (two buttons), forced separation (for those, who earned battle pay), node points stacking for increased duraition of mission (most popular, no real drawbacks) - run a ONE 15+ wave defence/15+ min. survival OR 3x 5 waves/5 min.

    5) Survival credit rewards - joke or trolling?

They need to be changed. Really. Either they have to scale BOTH with mission level and wave nuber, or they could be replaced with something useful (rare resources? but they aren't useful once you've crafted everything). Scaling is more popular.

    6) Melee elemental visuals - still not optional.

One variable, one checkbox in graphic settings. OMG, is it THAT hard?

    7) Sanity check of cardinal game mechanic changes.

I don't care if it would be available only for Design Council or whole community, but posting a changelog at least 3 days before implementing it will allow to catch and wipe out obvious flaws. You know, one head is good, two is better and 1000000 is the best.

"We messed up by not communicating that we were thinking of doing this change. Prior acknowledgment would have allowed players to adjust accordingly and give us feedback."© [DE]Megan.

There is so much badass stuff in 11.3 but I wanted to drop in and apologize for the violent changes in 11.3 that we did not communicate ahead of time. That was stupid. We are pretty bullish about change and challenging the status quo but you deserve fair warning and dialogue when big stuff is coming like say... I dunno removing an entire faction (sort of).©DE_Steve

    8) Skillful gameplay isn't rewarded - headshots, stealth, slide kills, air slide kills, wall run kills.

We are playing ninja, not a regular army here? I don't see much difference right now.

    9) AI requires improvement.

      Ninjas vs Zombies .

    10) Mastery levels give players almost nothing - aren't we supposed to be rewarded somehow?

      No comments here.

    11) Bleed proc damage - it still bypasses shields. How in the name of Primal Chaos is he doing it?

      No comments here.

    12) Polarity order hindering possibility to archieve elemental combos.

      No comments here.

    13) Knockdown/Stagger stunlock.

It's not funny and it's punishing player even if everything is done right.

    14) Stalker as it is now is an RNG-based gear-check and is not a fun enemy to face.

Absolute most of battles with him last for a few seconds, his abilities simply suppress skill-based builds.

    15) Mod system punishes diversity instead of rewarding it.

Absolute most of weapon build include must-have mods like Damage and Multishot. Mods that increase DPS in direct way outshine those increasing it indirectly. New Physical damage mods are by far outshined by elements. This list can be continued.

    16) Lack of diversity in each warframe behaviour/performance.

Everyone has a primary, secondary, melee and abilities. No differences at all. Lack of unique passive traits that would heavily affect gameplay. Lack of ability choices.

    17) Music. It really needs rework.

       No comments here.

    18) Major chat system issues. In coop game it's a vital point that needs polishing until perfection.

Adding a feature to add a person into a group by RMB is one of those must-have things.

    19) Sniper scopes. They need rework.

Honestly, some of them make me cry.

    20) Orokin Derelict Survival issues - success of mission is heavily dependant on terrain generation (RNG)

In conjunction with enemy spawning issues, it can literally force you out of mission, while normally you could fight much longer.

I don't know if this is a common complaint, but it seems that most of the warframes have the same exact polarity(s). I have six frames, and the only one I can get polarities for mods like Vitality, Redirection, Fast Deflection, etc. is Rhino. All the others use that one polarity that looks like a "V", which I've only been able to find one non-aura mod with that so far, and that's focus. So it works out badly for my frames because the polarities just stack on drain points because out the over 400+ Warframe specific mods I have, only three of them the fitting polarity, (FYI, all three of Focuses.)

I may be the minority, but it's a bit frustrating.

  11. Your problem could also be due to low bandwidth, because I know those planets have swarms of enemies which, even for me with a $60 wireless card, can be a burden on bandwidth.

Also, I know for a fact that it's not my system. Because I have a very high end setup (Namely an I7-4770k and AMD R9 290X), and I get far over 200fps in my dojo. (game is apparently capped at 200.)

Warframe isn't a game that's very demanding when you look at any of the games that going to be coming out this year, and some from last year either (Crysis 3, Battlefield 4, COD: Ghosts, etc.)

You could also try Razer Game Booster, it actually does work, believe it or not. I have a small ASUS laptop with an Intel Ivy-Bride (3217u) cpu with Intel GPU, it allows me to be able to play it much smoother than without it.You might also want to use a registry cleaner, that helps me a lot, even on my desktop, general use is much smoother after.

    Hope this helps!

  12. Well, I'm glad that something is in works, and it's not like I care too much about it, personally; I just know that a lot of others do, so I figured I'd bring it up.

About the troll thing, I've been playing religiously for a couple months now, and I don't feel like there is enough trolls to offset the system (especially since it's majority rules.) But then again, I'm just a player, not someone who until just a day or two ago, actually really did anything or looked at the forums.

  13. You guys are acting like this is the only game that does things like this. I personally don't see anything wrong with what they're doing, and even if I did, it's not something that would be anywhere near a make or break for me.

I'm just saying that if you find it, you find it and if you don't, you don't. Do you really think that getting so upset and attempting to guilt the devs into changing something about the game that's meant to be a positive part is really going to make them want to fix it for you?

  14. I just posted this in another topic, but I wanted to share it with the rest of the forum:

I think the host of a game should be able to set an approval point minimum in a game.

Like, say I'm hosting a game, and I set my minimum approval acceptance to 150, than someone who has lower than that will be rejected. And each player would start with 100 points, and after every online game has ended, the other players with either vote up or down of each player, and the majority rules in that case (unless there is a deadlock voting, than it's an automatically an up point), so if a player is upvoted by the majority than he/she would get two additional points to their approval score (so 100 -> 102), and if they're downvoted by the majority they lose four point, (so 100 -> 96).

Oh and you can't set a minimum that is higher than your own points

I think this would be a good system to stop trolls, for the most part anyway.

  15. How about changing the mechanic to only work on players that are AFK, or downed? This would keep the usability of the abilities intact, and reducing the possibilities for abuse.

I personally don't come across trolls often, but sometimes people just want to be annoying and it aggravates me a little. But I usually can put up with it, because I know who to not group with next time.

  16. Translation confirmed. Lack of moderators confirmed. Wanna make a bet when DE would fix that?)

Edit: OMG, i wasted my 600th post on porno spam topic response >_<

I would give you multiple upvotes for that if I could!
