  1. Using her full combo is something you don't need to use for low-medium level missions. Simply spreading the spores can be enough before pressing 4.

Although if you want an easy time getting her contagion on people, use something like the Orthos.

Also side note, splashing some damage using her decoy can be done easily without any real duration at all (If you want more power strength for more duration for that tad of more install damage)

If you want to give my build a go, here it is:

Vitality, Intensify, Transient Fortitude, Primed Continuity, Fleeting Expertise (at +50% efficiency -50% duration), Steel Fiber, Constitution and Streamline (+25% efficiency in order to hit that 75% cap)

As I have 2 normal Saryns and 1 prime, I've the polarity for the aura to be different depending on what I'll do. Normally it'll just be Corrosive Projection no matter what, because I'll be using Sancti Tigris to regain health and/or Rakta Ballistica for energy.

Exilus slot is up to you, more power strength/range or maybe something else :)

Only thing I dislike with this build is that I don't like how little armour she got even though she is suppose to be a frontal fighter (prime have the same amount as the all around basic excalibur. Which grinds my gears a bit xD).

Do let me know what you think of it if you give it a try :)

  2. It's actually kinda amusing (to me) that I spent a lot more time helping people before I became a guide. Mostly due to real life catching up and/or lack of updates. The community is what kept me aroun, but even then you sometimes end up having to deal with a few too many bad apples that makes you take a small break for a while.

I don't know which region you are in, EU currently (in the english version of the game) only have a few seniors and the juniors are hard to tell who they are in region chat due to not being purple.

I'm pretty sure we have several guides that you'll commonly find even if you region swap at different times a day.

Edit: As a guide it's also at times really nice when chat is being helpful (making it so you can take a back seat) and you can spend your time to more demanding matters in private chats, when something needs extensive elaboration for example.

  3. To me Corrosive Projection would be the way to go if you are playing in groups of 4.

Steel Charge is nice, although I don't ever seem to be able to replace Corrosive Projection with it due to the fact that either you need CP because you will be running a mission for so long it'll be useful, or you're not which then even Steel Charge wont matter that much as everything will be dropping dead with ease anyway.

If you can't decide, you can always get another Excalibur to have one with each polarity.

  4. As many already have said, modding your weapons and Warframes will be your key to success.

Now for what to mod, it could be anything, however some weapons will be stronger at a base than others. For example Soma requires a few formas in order to get the crit damage decent together with an elemental combo.

There will always be a few base mods that you will want to use, that being along the lines of following:

    Primary weapons:

    Serration

Heavy Caliber (note, some would not use this on bows or weapons that require accuracy, I personally always use it on everything because warframe isn't a game where is put accuracy over damage for end game content. And if you do need accuracy, your secondary could do).

    Split Chamber

Shred (you'll be shooting faster and through enemies to hit the ones behind them,1 bullet hitting several enemies :D)

    Optional (crit build mods):

    Vital Sense

    Point Strike

(Some, and this is very optional to me, if you really want it) Critical Delay.

    For secondary weapons:

    Hornet Strike

    Barrel Diffusion

    Lethal Torrent

    Crit build mods:

    Pistol Gambit

    (Primed) Target Cracker

These mods you will of course want to have as high rank as possible on your weapons in order to get the most out of them, although maxing Serration, Primed Target Cracker or Heavy Caliber could be expensive.

Note to always also use the elemental combo your enemies will be taking extra damage from. Possibly if you're lazy, just run Corrosive damage against everything but shielded units. Though I would not advice to just run corrosive only.

I'll also mention a few solid weapons that you may or may not already know deal a punch even without maxed mods on.

    Weapons (primary):

Boltor (Prime), even at low rank both the prime and non-prime can take care of enemies. Min/maxing them however, can make them shred enemies.

Soma (Prime), one of my favourites for speed running, although it requires a crit build, limiting your overal options of elemental combo by quite the but if you use shred too.

Sancti Tigris, the one shot machine at close range, you name it, it'll kill it. However it mostly deals slash damage, which is not very effective against armoured units. Drawback to this is that it's a two barrel shotgun, leaving you reloading quite often and dependant on being close range.

Vectis (Prime), not my favourite among the bunch, however that doesn't mean it can't deal damage and deliver a devastating shot.

Paris Prime, the Paris prime with a crit build will shred enemies until quite the high level. Due to it being able to fire rather rapidly with firerate mods to decrease the time it takes for you to charge your arrow.

Tonkor, crit build on this will deal quite the punch in AoE. This have been the go to weapon for a lot of people doing higher level missions.

    Secondary weapons:

Vaykor Marelok, some build this for crit, othe raw damage and others for status chance, either way you should be able to deal the damage you need to take down an enemy. The Marelok also procs health when enough affinity is earned, which is great for staying alive.

Despair, this one could be difficult to get your hands on as it is from the stalker and recently have started to fall of compared to other weapons, however that doesn't mean it can't deal damage! :)

Rakta Ballistica, Great viral proc and if modded with some firerate mods, you should be charging shots rather fast taking down heavy and high heeled enemis with ease. Nice to get energy from the proc too.

Brakk, some have a hard time getting this from the raid or G3 in general, however it does still do damage close range and if you like playing close and get your hands dirty, I suggest giving this a try! :)

Theres of course other weapons too, like the Rakta Cernos or Synoid gammacore, but all weapons, no matter which one it is, will need you to Forma it if you want to go really high level with them.

Hope this helped a little, typing this on my phone sure took its time and I see our community have already answered with a lot of good answers already :)

  5. Nice one, would love to see some more if you're up for making some :) Although I'd like to ask, why specifically Nekros to start of with?

I hope to see you do other frames as well! :)

  6. You're able to increase your mod limit above 60 with the help of Aura mods, if you place the correct polarity of a aura mod on a warframe, you'll get double the amount of points the Aura mod "costs". So a maxed ranked Rejuvenation would give you 14 points if you would place it into a D polarity (Vazarin), resulting in you having 74 instead of 60 as a cap.

However there's no such way to increase it on weapons, you'll have to spend formas to change the polarity on slots if you want to min/max a build. Which you might have to end up doing on a Warframe too if you want the most out of it with all the mods maxed out.

  7. Mods such as Intensify, Continuity, Streamline, Vitality and Stretch I'd say are good "basic" mods to always stick on if you don't know what else to use.

Later on you may want to increase your stats with corrupted mods like Transient Fortitude/Overextended.

Seeing how you haven't mentioned exactly what you've, I'd suggest maxing out the first set of mods I mentioned (or obtaining them if you haven't already). Some players who don't have anything to use as a way to replenish their health, use Redirection. Personally I prefer Vitality and if you use Vitality, you can also stick on a Steel Fiber (note it'll require a fair bit of cores to do rank them up).

The build to the left is pure crowd control, yes. Usually for raids, interception or mobile defense.

What would you drop from the build on the right to slot in Fleeting Expertise? And is it necessary? With 640 energy and 220% duration, energy doesn't seem to be an issue.

The build on the right is more designed for long runs, yes. Personally I would prefer Constitution over Fleeting Expertise as I'd rather cast once every 90 seconds instead of twice every 120.

Would adding Stretch to a build with a maxed Narrow Minded be worth it? It would bring only bring the range up to 80%.

Removing Quick Thinking is a possibility, you're right in saying that it doesn't make much difference late game. I don't usually find myself relying on it, but it has saved me from many bombard or napalm rockets. I'd say that it stops being useful when the mobs breach level one hundred. Is it worth keeping below that mark?

Using Stretch would allow you to support your team with dealing damage too. But if you don't want that, you're able to skip using it. And as I said I base my builds off if I have a EV trinity with me or not (as I prefer not to use energy pads as a reliable source of energy).

If you'd remove Quick thinking, you could put in stretch and constitution. There's the posibility of removing one of the Vazarin polarities and replace it with a Naramon (D). Removing the polarity would mean you'd not be so forced to have another Naramon mod on.

  9. Seeing how you've no power mods on your left screenshot, you're going for a stun build?

(This will be for solo play or when you don't have a EV trin with you) Potentially on the right build I'd use a Fleeting expertise at +50% efficiency -50% duration. You could max it if you want, and it'd allow you to add another Naromon polarity without messing with any of the builds too much. However I'm basing this off my build and the fact that I prefer to be able to have either a permanent eclipse/malevolent build or close to it.

However if you've a EV Trin and you're running something like a +2 hour long survival/long defense (I'd never use something similar to your right build if I didn't intend on going for a long run using Eclipse), Using Constitution would work instead of the Fleeting Expertise, and if you're staying so long, I'd remove Quick Thinking and use something else as pretty much anything will one shot you at that point, and if it'd two shot you, losing your energy sucks when everything goes wrong (which with a decent group, it shouldn't). Instead of Quick Thinking you could then use Streamline/Fleeting Expertise/Stretch. In the situation of a EV trin with, I'd go with Stretch to power up my allies in a longer range or intensify for that extra power.

Pretty much how I play at higher levels is the "glass cannon" style as I depend on CC being king, which actually gives you the possibility to use Natural Talent for that boost in casting speed for tossing out a Prism for a maybe needed stun.

If you do decide to try some of these out, let me know what you think, strengths and weaknesses of it :)

    I have.

    They leave at 5

Also, for those of you who say solo it, go ahead. Try and solo Salacia. Paper mache shuttle and penta crewmen. Fun times.

Salacia is actually really doable with just two people (so grab a friend or just one person from recruiting chat :D), even then I've soloed past wave 10. How? Watching youtube whilst spamming Thumper's everywhere (Elytrons third ability). Stacked enough times should kill pretty much anything and you should be able to make it to 20 without a real problem if you're keeping your spheres of barrages up, might have to use the warhead from time to time if the enemy decides to stick to places you can't reach.

Edit: You may want to clearify in your original post that you're referring to the Archwing defense.

  11. I use the Glaive Prime daily, using following mods:

Pressure Point - Spoiled Strike - Quick Return - Power Throw - Fever Strike - Virulent Scourge - Whirlwind - Buzzkill.

This build will explode on impact, even through just throwing it with quick melee. I personally use it to kill off nullifiers, trying to bypass their shields and go directly for the health pool instead (Yes if you throw the Glaive right next to a nullifier within their bouble, the Glaive will still explode and deal AoE damage if you threw it from the outside. As long as it finds a surface to explode on).

Yes attack speed might be something of interest to use as your animation goes faster, but seeing how limited the slots are and what you need on (at least for my build) for damage, I believe attack speed can be avoided to add, as I personally don't toss it about all the time, only as a finisher and nullifier counter (which running anything but T3-4 hours long defense/survivals/interceptions will spawn enough of for the Glaive to be a bit lacking. And even then you'd want damage to actually be able to kill them).

I wish there was an option to only allow invites from people you have active chat windows open with.

I've long wanted to have a "only allow invites from favourites" as well as a "only display PMs ingame from favourites in chat". However I'd only use that during a mission.

  14. When you say 1k, Do you mean redirection and Vitality together? If so, you might find it useful to remove redirection and use Streamline/Fleeting Expertise to be able to heal more and spam 4 more. However from what you said, I'd assume your build would be along the lines of: Continuity, Constitution, Narrow Minded, Stretch, Overextended, Intensify/Transient Fortitude (Or do you've rage here instead? I'm kinda clueless to where you put in rage due to stating max range/duration and 1k health), Vitality and Redirection. (Or are you potentially only using one of Vitality/Redirection? That'd leave room for Rage).

I'd suggest getting the Primed continuity as soon as possible and set yourself up with a highly ranked Transient Fortitude instead of intensify. Then remove Narrow Minded and redirection (due to the reduced range) and put on Fleeting Expertise (at 50% efficiency and -50% duration) as well as Streamline (at +25% efficiency in order to save some points if you cannot afford the formas). I'd also suggest getting Power Drift in the Exilus slot for extra power strength.

You said you had no prime mods, but it'd give you something to work towards:)

There's another build I've a friend who use:

Vitality, Steel Fiber, Rage, Transient Fortitude, Intensify, Stretch, Vitality and Overextended. (Power Drift for extra power strength).

It would take like 500 more weapons to get MR 30, I doubt MR will ever get that far unless they overhaul the entire system.

According to the wiki, you need 2 250 000 mastery rank experience to reach mastery rank 30. Which would translate to 750 weapons or 375 Warframes/Sentinels/Kubrows.

Have a look under "view mastery rank list":

    http://warframe.wikia.com/wiki/Mastery_Rank

The wiki even lists what you're suppose to do on the tests :)
