    Her powers revolve around combining Toxic (reduced damage against Robotics, improved against some flesh & armour types), Viral (normal damage against Robotics but heavily boosted against non-Infested flesh types) & Corrosive (improved against armour, reduced against some shields).  They are all generally going to do more to humanoid targets than mecha.

    well yea that's right, then you could call saryn an anti-grineer warframe.

     

    Then, why not just add some Warframe manipulating/absorbing enemies armor, or a warframe manipulating blood, like that, for no reason xD

This is a case of "bring the right tool for the job."  She is not a general purpose frame, she is focused on one element and it's a hybrid element at that (magnetic).  It only makes sense that she would be very powerful against certain types of enemy and weak against others.  And this is not "bad design" -- it's something we humans have been doing since we started making tools.  Socket wrenches are really good at loosening and tightening bolts but you're out of luck if you are facing a screw.  Specialization is all about optimizing your approach to a particular task.  There is nothing wrong about specialized warframes just as there's nothing wrong with having heart surgeons and brain surgeons.  But who would you choose to crack open your skull to remove a tumor?  If you want a general purpose frame, bring Loki, Rhino or Zephyr etc etc.

    Totally agree with you man, just saying it's sad that even against corpus, mag ultimate stay useless at every level.

  3. well problem for me is just, magnetism is good vs shield, ok that's fine, but against shield you already got you'r 2nd spell wich is way better than your ult in all ways. So you have a dead skill where there is almost no situtation to use it (at least I have none in mind). So why not change the damage ? Mag control magnetism but as her ultimate description says :"Magnetizes the bones of nearby enemies, causing them to collapse upon themselves." So, for me, I think I might imagine that the damage can be something else than magnetism, as you'r directly crushing "bones". So or change the ultimate damage type to something like ... Finisher damage (ok a bit too much, but well, let's hope xD after all u'r hitting enemies inside their bodies, through all their armor and stuff), or totally rework the ult, thought it's true this ult animation totally fit Mag styles.

  4. Nullifiers and such started existing after people finding a super fast way grinding syndicate standing using Mag and Excalibur.  Which is funny,  I am liking the corpus getting counters in the way it's going now.

     

    I've seen some Mags struggle with those enemies.  It's like they don't know they have Bullet Attractor still.  Sure the ability is costly and it seems like a huge waste of energy now.  It's still something for getting rid of some of these targets effectively.

     

    Also I hear lots of people saying Crush is great!  With augment...  I don't think these people Crushed Oxium or Fusion Osprays.  They just keep shooting.

    Yea at least we all agree on that, crush need a rework ^^

  5. Anyway, the bottom line is, mag suffers from cripling overspecialization, which is bad, I edited my post too fast for you to see, this is what I said:

    Its good for frames to have specialties, but cripling overspecialization is not a good thing, if you like a frame that is good against grineer and you think playing said frame is fun, that means that when you're not playing against grineer you won't be having fun.

    well I agree only that Mag need a rework on his ult. Though it's fine for me this kind of specialisation, even if, it's true, Mag must be the most "specialised" frame.I keep enjoy playing my Mag, even though I only use him against corpus, but I still love the game like this. I'm more the kind of people who play the game with all warframe, playing the more valuable frame for the mission, than trying to find a way for a frame to fit in all kind of mission and against all enemies. I like to specialised them to be honest. Though I understand some peoples prefer to have like "main warframes" that they want to be "competitive" against any enemies, in any missions, in this case yea, Mag isn't supposed to be build in this kind of way at the moment.

  6. Really? Mag manipulates shield which is corpus specialty, so her grineer equivilent, (whose specialty is armor) would obviously manipulate... blood.

     

    I'm sorry but this lack of logic is giving me a headache.

     

    If mag is specialized to focus on corpus speciality, aka shields, then her grineer equivilent (if a mag equivilent even needs to exist) would obviously target armor, flesh.

     

    The infested equivilent would target flesh.

    What he said is everything but baseless considering your comment above.

    In my first post on this topic, I suggested both a warframe focusing on armor, or another one focusing on manipulating blood. In both case, it was to be more efficient agaisnt humanoid than mecha ( so better against grineer/infested than corpus, as Mag is the opposit. That's my logic if you need one). Yes armor is the logic counterpart of Mag Shield manipulation, I thought of blood just cause it sounds cool to me, and cause it worked well with the "humanoid only" thema.

Mag need some adjust in crush skill , long cast time, low dmg , spend lot energy, something need be improved , as a bone and mechanics crushed,  still damaged with low movement capacity per ex , and pull, maybe turned more direct , actually s very chaotic , help , but sometimes s a problem too

    I agree with you on that, thought to change mag ult damage to finisher damage, like ash, as it crush ur bones so, why not xD anyway magnetic damage is useless as vs shield you already got your 2nd skill.

     

    Or... we could make Mag more (not completely) balanced between the factions and not add a new frame that trivialize armor by making it explode for 250% of its value.

    And no, more in the way of the previous post. btw adding this kind of warframe extend the possibilities of what kind of warframe you can create, you shouldn't be limited to "only frames that are good against all factions".

    True that, but on the void, you also have many corpus units, making her way more usefull than against grineer only.

     

    Anyway this post was more around "why not create another warframe centered around hitting only humanoid, and not mecha, or not as much damage on them" than "Is mag viable ?" xD anyway I appreciate your replies guys :)

  9. Mag isn't "purely" anti-Corpus. She has one anti-Corpus ability and three more that are equally effective against everything else.

    "effective against everything else" ? hem, if u talk about is 1st ability ok, you got the control effect, the 3rd ability too, but the ultimate, no damage for anything else than corpus. magnetic is really effective only against shield, you could look at the damage, when enemies (corpus) were around lvl 55, 1 tick of the ultimate did around 2.5k damage, ok that's fine, but when it hits only the flesh/armor, it's down to around 200 damage per tick. against greneer of this level, the damage are barely noticable so yea, for me his 2nd and 4th skills are good only against the corpus, unless you need the shield restore or if you need a high costing control skill with your ultimate (but if you need control, just use your first spell).

    But still Mag is fine for me so no problem with this, his 3rd ability is still helpfull sometimes against any factions (but mostly against flying boss so ... corpus xD) but well, I'm fine with that ^^.

  10. A veteran player mentioned that at one point, Grineer had shields as well.  

     

    I'm guessing when she came out, she was viable against all factions, or 2/3 of them.   Now though, she is Walking Genocide as far as the Corpus are concerned.

     

    While I don't want my little Murderframe to be changed, she does need a rework. :X

     

    On Topic;

     

    I believe Saryn is considered the Anti-Grineer 'frame. 

    And it sounds like you're been reading Typhus lore. 

    Well anyway I'm not asking for a rework on Mag, she doesn't need a rework (even if I don't really like magnetism damage on her ult, making it pretty much useless at high lvl, unlike shield polarise, doing all the job).

     

    And yea it's true Saryn might be consider as the anti-grineer frame, but I would still enjoy the release of a warframe good against mostly 1 or 2 factions (grineer + infested), there is Mag, so why not another frame usefull only against the factions that Mag can't handle ?

    And was kind of to introduce this kind of "Blood oriented frame" wich might be a not so bad idea (well ... in my imagination at least xD)

  11. well pretty much all in the title.

    Mag control magnetism, allowing him to manipulate corpus shield. So for grineer, I thought of a warframe, manipulating the blood, why not imagine kind of a vampire, syphoning the blood of his enemies to recover his health, or, why not manipulating his enemies blood pressure (but can be a bit too violent for some people, don't judge me pls xD) or a warframe capable of stealing enemies armor to add it to his own, making him tanking even more when he is facing big armored grineer, while making them much more vulnerable.

     

    I thought of the "blood warframe" cause as mag is good only against enemies with shield, this warframe could be usefull only against humanoid, and useless against any mecha.

     

    Tell me if you think it would be a good idea to add kind of an "anti-grineer warframe", and what you think about those 2 basic idea of warframes (though I really prefer the idea of a blood warframe xD)

  12. and u could reply " but spear are more powerfull at melee combo (and why not at charge attack) than glaive, so they need a draw back so y u have to go take it back and, u can suppose, why not make valkyr first spell to be able to grab this spear back ? (but y this is another story, but could be fun)

     

    I see what you mean UltimateGrr, but as a dream game, DE made realy fantastic weapon  and warframe with really enjoyable mechanics. Think about limbo, even if some people don't like him, it's still great to have him in the game, so yea, why not adding Throwing spear even if, you're right, some people gonna flame DE for random reasons.

  13. I think it could be a great idea to add Throwing Spear as melee weapon, with melee combo, and as a charge attack, you throw the spear, empaling the first enemie it hits, then u'll have to go take it back to use it again.

    Idealy I would like to have a spear that drew inspiration from nezha style (as he is using spear for his ultimate).

     

    Tell me if u think it could be a good idea.

  14. From what I heard, in Warframe you're supposed to change your appearance with only cosmetic change, with no influence on your fighting abilities. But with those old arcane helmets, you have to equip some ugly helmets on your warframe just for it's arcane stats ( like this ugly "arcane essence helmet" for loki, or this "arcane coil helmet" for mag ), instead of equiping those new and cooler alternate helmets released.

    So my suggestion would be just to allow us to equip whatever helmet we wanna equip, without having to look at the stats it gives, so by suppressing arcane helmets (this would be the hard way though xD), or simply allowing us to transfer arcane helmets stats to another helmet of the same warframe ofc., so for example, allowing us to transfer the "arcane essence helmet" stats from loki to it's standart prime helmet, or why not to this new "loki knave helmet".

     

    Tell me if you think this would be a good idea or if you have another idea to solve this problem.

     

  15. When you are not host with Mirage, if you fire with your simulor while using your hall of mirrors, it makes all your projectiles from simulor split randomly among the map. They are not gathering in a vortex like they should. It's only working as it should when you are host. (curently tested with mirage + synoid simulor equiped, so guess it's same for the normal simulor)

  16. I was thinking it could be really helpfull to add some kind of auto targeting system when you wanna use a skill on one of your ally, like when you wanna use syndicat augmented fireball from ember on another ally or when you use limbo's banish without taking time to aim at ur ally. This would be really usefull when your allies don't stop moving or when there is too much enemies like in def or surv mission, or also when you banish an ally with limbo and you want to "de-banish" him, but you can't cause he is moving way too much or there is too many enemies.

     

    Tell me if you think it's a good idea or not, and if not if you have any other suggestion to make this kind of skills easier and faster to use.

  17. While I would welcome a toggle function, Limbos that don't know how to or won't deactivate Cataclysm still hinder teammates from picking up loot.

    Best solution would be to allow items inside Cataclysm to be picked up. They're in the rift bubble, so they should be in the rift plane regardless.

    agree. It's true some people wont turn it off to allow teamates to pick up drops.

  18. I really enjoy playing limbo, but as you know,you can't pick up drops while in the void. this is not a bug, ok. The problem is all your abilities get benefits of power duration, and if you max out your power duration, you'll get an ulti lasting for more than 60 second, that mean an area where you can't pick up drops for more than 60 second. So for me the only problem with limbo is you can't stop your ultimate once you've casted it, so I suggest to change this; even if it still cost 100 energy to cast it, to be able to end it when we want.
    Or make us able to pick up drops when those are also in the void with our ultimate.

     

    Feel free to comment if you find this idea good or not.

  19. tested in dark sector defense in pluto :
    - my 3rd skill should give me minimum 3x damage boost (base multiplier is 3x and I got around +20% power strength) but when I test the damage, it's only a 2x boost. I've tested it with my ultimate + 3rd skill.
    - if I read correctly on the wiki, my 3rd skill should increase all damage source against enemies in the rift. but when I use my ultimate and my 3rd skill, my teamates don't get this boost. When I've tested this, it works to boost the damage of a nova's ultimate in my team but only if I kill the 1st enemy to make others explode. ( even though this boost was only a 2x multiplier)

    about topic, more "3rd skill buff bug" than "ultimate bugs", my bad.

  20. - when in the rift, I'm still vulnerable to cc (like knock back, stun, etc...), tested with "rift walk" ability against corrupted heavy gunners and corrupted ancients in the void.
    - against toxic ancients, I'm still vulnerable to their poison damage when I'm in the rift (tested with "rift walk" ability)

    both next bugs are in spy mission:
    - when I carry a data unit, if I use "rift walk" ability, It makes drop the data unit, and I can't take it back as long I'm in the rift.
    - I can't use "banish" ability on someone carrying a data units.

    due to this last bug, I wonder if when someone carrying a data unit enter in my cataclysm ability, does he go to the rift or not ? cause when he enter, the data unit doesn't drop.
