  1. Just think - we technically still have one more event (the oxium hunt) before the features of 12 are even implemented. It would be great if we could at least get that...

I just don't get it though - the des and mods are CONSTANTLY talking to pc players, while we have to literally beg for scraps of information.

I've already moved on to other games. Screw this.

  2. PC gets high discount rates for a very short time (2 days I believe, and 90% of them are 20% off when they appear).

PS4 gets low discount rates for a long time.

PS4 gets "low" discount rates? Are you referring to the paltry 20% off we currently have on the store?

Get real. PC has access to 25%, 50% and 75% off coupons through login rewards. Furthermore, you can buy PC platinum from Amazon as well as Steam. Care to guess what both retailers discounts were over the holidays?

Hint: a hell of a lot more than 20% off.

This is a nice argument to be made if you, like others with this same argument, knew what you were talking about.

Founders program ended in November, a ~year into development in. Lol 11 updates and countless patches into the game later. So the actual founding part got thrown out the window a long time ago...

After the first few months, it was simply a way to grab money.

Exactly. This so-called "Founders" program ended about two weeks before PS4 launch, then was promptly replaced by "Prime Access" which we do now have access to on PS4. DE should have at least given PS4 players a couple of weeks or so after launch to purchase Excal Prime.

Whatever though, what's done is done. At this point, DE needs to just remove Excal Prime, Lato Prime, Skana Prime (etc.) from the PS4 Codex. That's the least they could do. Actually, screw that — they should consider it essential that they do so. Warframe is an OCD gamer's dream come true/worst nightmare, and having these giant unstarred icons in our otherwise "perfect" codexes just isn't fair.

You can't design your entire gameplay loop around exploiting players' compulsive weaknesses and then turn around and taunt them by including items on their checklist that are literally impossible for them to acquire. DE should feel morally obligated to not abuse on their playerbase like that. We never had the chance to get that stuff. It was never in our game.

So remove it from the goddamn codex, or give us an opportunity to acquire it. Those are the only acceptable options, DE.

  3. This Open Beta test is Voluntary. You are in a privileged role to offer constructive feedback and input into improving Warframe. You are testing Warframe at your own risk; Digital Extremes takes no responsibility for any damages - whether physical or digital.

I'll just go ahead and remind you guys of the terms agreed to play...

Go ahead and point me to that text blurb in-game, or hell, anywhere on PSN.

    Thanks.

  4. PS4 Performance

    http://youtu.be/CNtzE7BTUV8?t=39m18s

Reb: Molnizzle asks about frame rate and DPS of Ps4 and what kind of improvements can they expect with the new update?

Steve: They can expect at least double the frame rate if not more in the Void. We’re going to do a lot of performance fixes on those. Problem is the lasers/traps are happening even when you’re half way across the map.

So honored to have my superbly elaborate question featured on the stream! Thank you for being our advocate, Rebecca.

Even though I didn't like Steve's answer. There are far more performance issues than just the Void laser and Carrier jank. Besides... regardless of what's causing the issues, it should be a no-brainer that the graphics need be temporarily scaled back just to keep things playable. Change the internal rendering resolution to 900p (or even 720p) and utilize the PS4's built-in hardware scaler. It's a hacky band-aid rather than a real "fix," but at least our frame rates would improve to a (hopefully) fully playable level while we collectively wait for the PS4 team to get its $h!# together.

Hopefully DE decides to buckle down and 1.0 this game at some point. Is that part of anyone's timeline? This "beta" nonsense is really starting to wear on me. Which is understandable, in my opinion, considering that Warframe has already been shipped to the players — many of them paying customers — and that was nearly a year ago. T2Dr0Xi.gif

  5. +1

I would use the sh!# out of this feature. I never thought I would want to bother with M/KB from the comphy couch, but by golly, Warframe parkour is just frustrating with a controller. There's definitely no restriction on this from Sony. As mentioned, FFIV will have full M/KB support on PS4. Several games supported it on PS3 as well, including Unreal Tournament 3.

MORE BETTER:  Allow the hybrid combo of DS4 in left hand for movement and mouse in right hand for aim.

SO BEST:  Support the PS Move nunchuck in the left hand as well.

I'm got a nerdboner just thinking about it.

  6. No, this madness results from madness. All you need to do, again, if pop up one mark and wait for the thing to spawn. There is no reason to do more than one mark.

...that we know of. It's possible that the spawn chance is higher in Invasion missions, yes? Well then, better safe than sorry.

How do you not understand that? This is basic game design.

  7. All this extra craziness is straight up player created madness that is not needed.

...and that "madness" is always going to be the result of mechanics like this, so DE should have known better before choosing to make the Harvester spawn the way it does. Thats the bottom line. Players are always going to go after the best loot they don't have in the most efficient manner possible. Whether or not they should is completely irrelevant -- they do. It is what it is, and DE should know that.

  8. Continuous Fire Weapons

The request for continuous fire weapons to be reverted back to showing a ‘damage number fountain’ is a double sided argument. Some players enjoy the new ‘condensed damage number fountain’ and some player’s want it reverted. So where is the middle ground? The reasoning behind the change was to make it more obvious for players who are applying damage mods, as it’s easier to notice that numbers are 5% larger in magnitude vs being generated 5% faster.

The satisfaction of seeing numbers fly while using continuous fire weapons is what’s being missed. Feedback and suggestions have been noted.

    Are you f#*%ing kidding me?

That's not what people are upset about at all.

    Read:

    Continuous Weapons

Wait, what did you just say here? "The satisfaction of seeing numbers fly while using continuous fire weapons is what’s being missed."

    ...

No, it's the fact that you broke the frikkin crap out of them (such as proc and damage delays, for example)! Wow, seriously, are you guys taking us for complete and utter fools? Or are you just intentionally ignoring what we ACTUALLY are saying to you?

    and

actually the display is fine, the MAIN problem with the current one is that continuous damage isnt applied continuously, it's in chunks(of 1/3secs) now. if there is someway to have a condensed number AND have damage applied continuously, per tick instead of per 1/3secs, that would be ideal.

I don't even play on PC and I know about this. How could it be that DE is still completely in the dark? This company's ineptitude never ceases to amaze me.

I just want this hotfixed before they push U12 to PS4...

  9. Pro tip for Rank 13 test: just get to the top platform in the middle and stay there. It'll disappear but you won't fall.

No need to feel bad about taking advantage of crap like that until DE fixes their game.
