  1. Upon login, the chat window should be open by default. Move it to the center of the screen or something if you want to keep Alerts and Operations on the right. Most players don't even know that there is a chat system until they've played the game for quite a while. I was about 12 hours in myself before it dawned on me. Obvious design flaw.

Furthermore, there needs to be an option for clan chat to be displayed regardless of where you are. If I'm on a mission, I still want clan chat to be automatically displayed on my screen. Move the transparent chat box to the lower center of the screen and restrict it to 3-4 lines or something. No viewable area will be lost and clans will finally be able to effectively communicate. My clan currently uses the group messaging feature of PSN since the integrated clan chat is so useless, but we only have about 80% participation because some members do not like the constant notifications popping up over their game. This is also only feasible for Storm Clans and below since PSN group messaging is limited to 100 members.

This stuff could be easily solved without too much work on DE's part. You can keep the menu screen functionality of pressing Option to chat, the actual chat window itself just needs to be visible by default. Maybe semi-transparent or something so the player knows that it is not what is being primarily controlled. This should be extended to the "pause" screen as well. Move the menu items to the left and have the chat window open automatically on the right. As for the clan chat, just take whatever setting you currently have for the Dojo and apply it to the entire game. Clan chat shows up automatically in the Dojo, just not anywhere else.

Please implement these relatively simple fixes. At least the clan chat option, we really need that.

  2. Are you joking?

    Please tell me you're joking.

If anything they need to scale back the graphics big time, do whatever is necessary to get the game running at a playable frame rate. Render at 900p if you have to, I don't care -- just do something, DE.

    Please?

  3. Thanks for keeping me updated everyone.

We ran a 'checker' and it seemed to fix this 'wrong level' issue.

Unfortunately it seems that Anti Moas are still not spawning, please continue to update us about it's appearance.

A quick fix may be possible tomorrow if they continue to not spawn.

Just had another 20-minute run, no Anti MOA.

  4. As a PS4 player, I think that pure as your intentions may be, your "help" probably wouldn't be applicable in most situations. Take the thread in the OP, for example. Anti MOA's currently do not spawn on Elara on PS4 -- and they never have. We've had U11 for almost two months now with no way to deal Corrosive damage on our pistols besides lucking out through Transmutation.

It's bad enough that none of the applicable information on the Wiki is kept around for PS4 players (for example, we were stuck on 11.0.3 until last week -- try finding the applicable Damage 2.0 table for that build on there); the last thing we need is to get more misinformation from PC players who are quite literally playing a different game than us.

  5. After investigation with QA, it seems that the PS4 build loads a Grineer Ship level instead of a Corpus Gas City level. Hence why Anti Moas are not spawning.

This has been logged as a bug and will be fixed for the next Update. We're very sorry for the inconvenience.

Do you mean like in the "background," or something? Because when I run Elara it looks like the Corpus Gas City tileset -- and has since U11.

EDIT: For example, I made this video a few days ago -- after 11.5.8. That's the Corpus Gas City.

Also... please tell me this isn't the first time your QA has been made aware of this. We've been pulling our hair out on PS4 for almost two months now trying to get Pathogen Rounds.

  6. Yeah, in fairness, I didn't even realize that the invasions expanded beyond one node until the one today. DE should have made the first invasion's "good" reward be for the side that was invading. ;-)

  7. Seriously. I hate this modern trend of games running at 60fps on console and looking like cheesy soap operas. Nothing kills my immersion more than that! How can I have a visceral, premium experience when my games are being output at the exact same refresh rate as my television? You can't, that's how. They proved it with science.

Anyway, thanks! Here's a clip of me slaughtering Anti MOA on Elara with my freshly Forma'd Trinity.

  8. Well it's no surprise. I mean PC is getting new content every week, and no matter what the PS4 version will always be behind because of Sony cert. That being said, the version that was announced for the PS4 was 11.5.8, and while that was being worked on and being sent off to cert, the PC dev team kept on working full throttle.

If I had to guess, I'd say that the next PS4 update would likely be Update 12 and that it'll be ready to be sent to cert fairly quickly when/after the update is deployed on PC.

Also, getting 11.5.8 is better than not getting anything until U12 rolls around. I mean, if you'd like DE to release stuff faster, I'm sure they'd love the help if you happen to be an experienced coder and know how to develop and program software for the PS4 (seriously, I'm not even kidding, if you have the know-how and experience, DE is looking for people over at their career postings page.)

You should probably stop commenting on the PS4 version until you've played it extensively.

I've run a Elara a few dozen times now, always at least 30 minutes. Anti MOA do not spawn in the PS4 version. The only place you can find them are in the Exterminate (might be 0-2) or Alad V (1-3). That's it.

  9. I've been receiving anecdotal tales of anti moas not spawning AT ALL on places like Elara on Jupiter which supposedly has a high chance of spawning anti moas according to the wiki

They don't spawn on Elara. Not on PS4.

The best place to "farm" them is Ganymede (Extermination). You'll encounter 0-2 Anti MOA's there per run. It's actually terrible for "farming," but it's all we have at the moment.

    Thanks, DE!

  10. That's a ridiculously low spawn rate for something that according to the wiki should be fairly common on survivals but still hasn't been implemented apparently.

Exactly. It's not like Anti MOA's are guaranteed to drop Pathogen Rounds. The mod has an extremely low drop rate as it is, so making it a pain in the &#! to even encounter the mob in the first place is just pouring salt on the wound.

  11. RESOGUN has a damn Platinum for christ's sake.

Other digital title with Platinums, off the top of my head:

    - MotorStorm RC

    - Hotline Miami

    - WipeOut HD

    - DC Universe Online

    - Alien Breed: Impact

    - Alien Breed 2

    - Alien Breed 3

    - Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

    - Dead Nation

    - Guacamelee!

    - Minecraft

    - Terraria

    - Trine 2

...and who knows how many I'm forgetting?

    What's Warframe's excuse again?

  12. This screen:

    warframe_starto9dn7.jpg

It's pretty typical for me to turn my PS4 on, boot up Warframe and then go fix myself a drink or write a novel or something while I wait out the initial loading. Ever since the patch I've noticed my PS4 fans ramping up to seemingly max RPM if I let the game idle at that "Press Start" screen. Immediately after pressing X  and I really mean immediately the console's fans spin back down to inaudible levels. It's almost instantaneous, like a hardware switch was flipped inside the box.

This didn't happen prior to yesterday's patch. I'm not sure what type of background code you have the game running now on the "Start" screen, but it's kicking my PS4's &#!!

  13. No matter what order I place Hellfire, Stormbringer and Cryo Rounds I cannot get my desired combination of Magnetic + Radiation on the Synapse. From what I understand, using the order of Cryo-Stormbringer-Hellfire should produce my desired result, but instead I end up with Magnetic + Heat.

Working as intended, or is this a bug?

  14. Three runs of Elara now, all over 30 minutes. Not one Anti MOA.

C'mon, DE. Reading the Wiki it sounds like these little buggers were spawning like crazy from 11.1-11.5. Why wouldn't you give PS4 players the same fair chance at Pathogen Rounds? It's bad enough that you shipped us Update 11 without any way to deal Corrosive damage on our pistols -- and left us stuck like that for six weeks -- and now we have to put up with horrendous spawn rates when the damn mobs are finally added to our game? Ugh.

  15. It's also fixable if you want your waypoint functionality back. Just delete the 11mb "save file" for Warframe off of your PS4. Voila, all settings reset to defaults and waypoint functionality returned.

Oh, and you can modify the controller bindings -- just don't assign anything to d-pad-left. On the bindings screen it'll say "N/A" even though it's assigned "Create Waypoint" behind the scenes. Just leave that particular button alone if you want to keep on waypointing.
