  1. Really liking the Mesa changes thusfar! Only thing I still feel is lackluster is her 1. I wish a fun utility ability could be added here. Something that helps with movement (would suggest a grappling hook, but that might be too much like Valkyr's ripline?) or maybe a healing grenade that heals people that stand in it. I just can't find a good use for her 1 currently, it feels too clunky and it does not feel like it is needed.

  2. I'd say allow her Peacemaker to scale of your secondary mods. Having it drain energy like Ivara's bow may be good too, would not be able to say as I have not yet played Ivara.

Have Shooting Gallery stick to herself with an aura that buffs nearby allies. The switching makes it unreliable.

And scrap Ballistic Battery for a cool new utility skill.

  3. I don't really mind the change to peacemaker too much now that I got used to it, it just has some poor scaling into late game. Mayhaps it would be nice to have it scale of your secondary mods, like other warframes with "weapon-abilities".

I mostly like her abilities, but some could use a little tweaking.

A nice change. for example, would be to have her shooting gallery stick to herself, perhaps buffing the damage of those within a certain radius of Mesa. I really dislike the way it swaps because it makes it a far less reliable tool.

The only ability I find truely lackluster is her 1, I'm running an Opticor and a Rakta Ballistica as my current weapons and for the Opticor it feels like it is not really needed and for the Rakta it feels clunky. I would not be opposed to just replacing the 1 with a cool utility skill altogether, or maybe a hard-hitting piercing shot in a straight line or something.

  4. I disagree, I was not really opposed to a change to Peacemaker, but I do not find the new mechanic at all "engaging" as the devs put it. :/ No, it is not extremely hard or anything, but it is just not that interesting either. I mostly shifted in and out of Peacemaker when getting swarmed, but it just feels more clunky now, like driving a car with a really stiff stick. The animations feel less fluid and I don't like the blurriness at the outside of the circle, plus the style of being able to shoot on opposite sides of yourself at the same time was just really cool.

  5. I have not really posted a lot on this forum yet, but I have been playing Warframe for a while. My favorites were mostly Saryn and Valkyr, but when I returned to the game not too long ago, I wanted to give Mesa a go. I really digged her looks and she had some fun abilties to boot!

I created a build with good efficiency, above average duration and good strength and short range. It allowed me to pop in and out of Peacemaker quickly when getting swarmed, my other abilties had pretty reliable uptime and because they were cheap, I had no issues refreshing them. I even quite liked the shorter range on my Shooting Galery because I felt it focussed on the pesky butchers some more that way and less on the ranged enemies that got nullified by my Shatter Shield anyway. The only ability I did not use very much was Balistic Battery, because my Opticor does not really need much extra oompf.

Because I made my build a bit of a variety-thing, I did not think I'd mind the changes to peacemaker that much. Yet, I came across a few things I did not like about it.

    - For starters, it is just less flashy and cool! I do not see as much of her awesome animations, and I thought it was pretty awesome how Mesa could shoot targets in front of her or behind her simultaneously. It gave a pretty damn awesome gunslinger feel to the character. Now that style is gone, which is a bummer.

    - A remark I see popping up a lot is "it is not that hard to spin around in peacemaker you know". And I just do not see why this is a 'pro' for the change being a good one. No, it's not hard. Which makes doing it not all that engaging or interesting either.

    - The targeting feels less... smooth somehow. This might just be me, but it just feels more shocky, not as fluid as it used to be.

    - Another fan favored remark seems to be: "boohoo, you can no longer tape down your mousebutton". Did any Mesa players stay in Peacemaker exclusively then? I sure as hell did not, and I really doubt anyone would find that a fun playstyle to begin with. My view of this might be skewed because I usually play in a full party of friends, so it may be worse when you meet a Mesa in pugs, but it seems like such a purely hypothetical reasoning to me.

In short: The change does not invoke "fun and engaging" but "needlessly clunky and less cool" in my mind. I still quite like her other abilities, but stylewise I looked at peacemaker as Mesa's signature move, and it is a shame it became more awkward to use instead of more fun. A change from the original could be good still, I just do not like this one.
