Apparently it is unlinkable and drops in rare containers within sentient ships.
Can anyone confirm?
Edit: Confirmed type /profile Landaros
He has it on
You can link it by doing a look link with it on the person's warframe.

That would be the first deluxe skin that added something more to the frame than just cosmetics, which would be "P2W" technically since deluxe skins are purchase only
Technically it's not "P2W" because you can earn platinum by selling/reselling prime parts, and with the introductions of rivens, you could easily come across a decent riven and sell it to get the cost. Not arguing that making a skin affect the Warframes actual statistics is a little bit of a gray area, but it still doesn't classify as p2w since it doesn't really affect any other players.
I would, however, like them to modify the aesthetics of his abilities towards the frame because the gushy mutualist stuff won't really mesh or flow with the skin, which is the only disheartening skin. I'd honestly prefer the new Revenant Warframe to look like this and call it a day, because, with the flow of the new revenant frame, he's a good solo self-sustaining frame, which has sort of mind control abilities and a mist form, which this skin would just better suit that than Nidus.

That was my bad, I did mean Poncho haha

Eh, that's the reason it's not purely cloaks, they're just the one's that would probably have the most clipping issues which is why I mentioned them primarily. I was thinking arm sashes, waist sashes, Pancho styles of thing's etc

Did some calculations on the Prime Access average release date, check out the link if you're interested

Alright the title basically is self explanitory, with the addition of Syandana's from quite a while ago you can see that it add's a bit of extra flare or personality to your warframe, but what about the addition of different types of clothing? Obviously warframes each differ vastly from one another in shape and sizing, which is why some warframes such as Nyx couldn't have a hood covering her, but it could be like a bandana covering her face with the cloak, or a hood down behind her back. On top of this, there would be a clipping issue with weapons and cloaks BUT, sense Warframe is a 3rd person game, it's possible to code the cloak to not be able to occupy the same physical space as the weapons.
Essentially, my thought is this: you have a cloak and while your weapons are over the cloak and on your back holstered, your cloak remains underneath and flow's like a piece of cloth would against wind.
Here is an example from Shadow Of Mordor with how Talion's cloak flows in the wind, but registers that talions weapons are on his back which would help prevent a clipping issue.
http://youtu.be/fpRXiyIvvX4?t=39s
Once you equip your primary weapon, your clock would obviously not have something obstructing it from moving more freely.
In conclusion, aside from the obvious benefit of getting some cool and interesting new asthetics to the game, the addition is allowing the dev's to test some interesting new tools that could potentially be used on both enemies and new content added to the game aside from these cloaks like banners, structures or the way you interact with things. The thought I came up with is just an idea to address the immediate response the title above would get of "what about the clipping issues". I'm aware there is alot more for the Dev's to worry about aside from this and that it's more complicated than what I have portreyed it, but I think it's worth putting in sometime down the road. -
Alrighty so there's a few things, firstly look at this thread, I made it and its an estimation of the release dates for Prime Warframes (https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/340455-warframe-prime-release-dates-average-to-the-next-warframe/#entry3808240)
Secondly, the order that has been released for Primes has been Excalibur, Frost, Ember, Mag, Rhino, Loki and now Nyx. Notice the pattern? It's Male, Male, Female, Female.
Thirdly, the first of all three of the oldest three female frames (Saryn, Banshee and Trinity) that are left is Trinity, she was released before both of them in this order: Trinity -> Banshee -> Saryn. It's been ages sense then but either or, their very likely to prime two of them which I think it will be Trinity then Banshee and Saryn in the next Prime Access after the cycle of M/M/F/F, Ash and Volt will be the next set of two Warframes and then Banshee and Saryn.
Forthly, the lowest time I calculated in between frame release dates was 69 days and the highest was 132, therefore, anything in between those two is the likely amount of time before the next Warframe gets primed. I calculated the averages of all of them (except for Excalibur Prime to Frost Prime as it's hard to find Excal's release date) and from there I arrived at an average of 102.6 days between each of the Warframe Prime release days.
Fifthly and finaly, the possibility of getting a Prime Access Warframe for Christmas or for New Years Night/Day is a possibility, it is also a possibility for the Excalibur Proto Skin Anniversary.
Hopefully that helps or has intrigued anyone who read!

The data on this was very accurate, Limbo was released on the 24th of October

Yea, mine is exclusively for the Prime's thank you for the linked article though, more people should know about this! :)

Alrighty so this is an average day between all the release dates of each Warframe thus far, I did a bit of digging for the first one (Excalibur Prime) but didn’t find the exact day he was released (Founders Program). These are averages and by no means a guarantee of the Warframe being released on that date. As you will see below, some Warframes were released in half the time as the previous Warframe.
If you list the date for Excalibur Prime's release below in the comments, please leave a source with it so I can verify it for myself, I will redo the calculations with that time taken into concideration, thank you.Excalibur Prime

I'd say a better option would be cloaks that go over your shoulders and basically cover you Jedi/Sith style (without the sleves of course). Also, for the frames with crazy helmets like Nyx Prime, the easy fix is to have a hood up and down option and have it unavailable for a frame like Nyx (so her hood would be down but she'd still get a cool cloak.

I personally am really mad with the Kubrow system. Primarily, I'm mad about the fact that my Kubrow died while in stasis because his health degraded to a point where he "took a turn for the worse" and he died prompting ordis to "eject his remains" into space. I have a life, a job, friends and family, all of which I need to maintain outside of warframe causing me to be unable to play. I didn't play warframe for around two weeks and the fact that I lost a kubrow that I spent a good chunck of platinum on makes me infuriated.

Essentially, it's a bit of a rework for Defense with Survival thrown in, because as it stands now, what I'm proposing is a more realistic defense or a varient of the two.

Proposed Warframe Game type Project “Hold Out”
By: Zeref_Icarus
The purpose of this game type is for players to maintain control over a fortress until Tenno forces can arrive, the longer they stay guarding the fortress, the greater they will be rewarded. (To be rewarded similarly to the survival missions in increments that happen each 5 minutes).
Reason’s to implement this Game type:
1.
Lore: Hold out is a game type that could fit into the lore as the tenno trying to expand their influence by building, capturing or retaking fortresses on planets designed to expand their observations on grineer, corpus, infested and potentially other races activity.
2.
Variety: The gametype is about Tenno attempting to maintain control over a fort until other
tenno operatives arrive to take over the fortress which could help utilize the current proposed plan for implementing stationed turrets and give players a very fun and challenging game mode to play.
Several different types of scenarios of this game type can exist, Tenno could end up outside the fortress attempting to break in to retake the fort from existing forces and then holding out as long as possible with 5 minute intervals (like survival) where they are offered a landing ship will land on a platform on top of the platform and will stay for up to 30 seconds for players to get to. By using a limited time for the ship to be there, it will keep the players constantly moving and engaged as well as showing the desperation making a rewarding experience. The ship landing will give players two choices that will either (a) provide them with a route out or (b) give equipment, ammo, and war trophies (mods etc) to resupply and reward the brave Tenno.
*Side note, the benefit of this game type is that it will give players a real reason to utilize the fortress aspect for mounted turrets. A few ideas for the turret mechanism in this game is that that would have a cooldown or resupply time after using them until either the next drop ship comes in or the turret could have a set number of ammo and have to be resupplied with rounds and have to be fed by another tenno while one is shooting giving a certain limited time for players to mow down very large amounts of enemies attempting to breach the fort- this forces players to ration their bullets and makes players use it strategically during time’s of “oh S#&$” moments.
3.
Fun: Overall, with what I’ve proposed, this game type could be both very beneficial to the game as well as an interesting and fun way to develop missions extending after these missions allowing Warframe discoveries to occur with the intel they receive from these “Fortresses” as they expand their grasp over the solar system.
The Winning Conditions:
-Players manage to “Hold Out” against enemy forces until a carrier ship can arrive to pick up Tenno, the longer they stay the more they will be awarded for their service to the Tenno order. Ships will come every 5 minutes and will only stay for up to 30 seconds for players to either resupply or to decide to leave for the main force to come in and take over. The player’s will go on indefinitely in time until they absolutely must pull out
The Deciding portion:
What I mean from this, is that when it comes time to decide whether you want to extract or not you will need to make way to a drop ship with a tenno operative there waiting to bring you on to the ship or to toss out ammo (a cool animation could be shown for airframes walking into the ship at the end or with the operative handing ammo out to each of the warframes). In this stage you will have to make way to a drop ship in order to collect regular ammo (potentially special turret ammo) and repair equipment to fix barricades (unless you want to go with automatic repairs as the wave ends).
The Losing Conditions:
- All players exhaust their revives
- The enemy forces overtake the fortress by taking control of specific rooms within the fortress
or Destroying the main generator upon breaching walls/the fortress
Game Variant A: Four players will be dropped outside of the fortress and have to clear a path to get to the fortress and then take it over, from there, players will capture the fort by eliminating existing enemies that wiped out previous Tenno operatives and Hold onto it until Tenno reinforcements arrive.
Game Variant B: Player’s will be brought to the top of the base directly to fill in for Tenno operatives that are leaving until a main force arrives to control the fortress.
In conclusion, the name I propose for this game type could be “Fortress” or “Hold Out”. -
I think something that adds alot of depth to a game is seeing the struggle, the downfall and hardships of the protagonists. In this case, that would be the Tenno. Seeing loss adds a huge amount of depth to the game, and obviously this would come better if they had characters or voices, but a silent protagonist can leave very bold and meaningful moments for the player to feel.
The newest opening where Nekros is sucking the soul out of the grineer, add Danger of Hell - Thomas Newman, and just watch. You can get a feel for a very somber mood just by the music playing and moving around. Although Update 10 is Shadow's of the Dead, I think the next update should start focusing on emotional and personal development with the warframes. Understanding their cause.
A game I used to play is sort of what I'm drawing influences and idea's from, the original Dragon Age. The connection and choices you make to give you your own personal depth is worth more than a 100 more guns added to the game in my opinion. (maybe not so much for 100 more warframes;) )
Utilizing this games great gameplay is good, and yes we have content, with still tons of room to expand, but lore and campaign should start seriously being developed, or at least integrated into warframe.
In War, Victory. In Peace, Vigilance. In Death... Sacrifice. = Grey Warden (DA:O)

I wish the Mountain clan cap was 500, it just seems to be a better number, but 300 isn't bad haha. Thank's for implementing more brackets DE!
-
The 101 to 1000 member clan's is kinda bs... It sucks being in the lower bracket of that with only 274 members in my clan.. I think a 101 to 500 would be better and more fair to those in between clans, 501 to 1000 would be a move even playing field.
-
The best option for you to maximize your efficiency is to have a frost defensive spec, vauban power spec, rhino tank spec, and the last one depends on who your fighting. I say this because rhino can take alot of hits and should have very little problem up to wave 50 as long as he isn't stupid and going off on his own. Frost's ice dome is invaluable and probably the saving grace in defense, and vaubans tesla helps to take out the shields on enemies. The last frame is situational as I've stated. Ember for infested, volt for corpus, and I would recommend nyx for being able to control the enemies. Hope that helps

What happened to the discussion on having male and female versions for frames?
Question: Will there be male versions of female frames and female versions of male frames or will frames still stay gender locked? -
In regards to the missions of Warframe, will we see more variety of mission types added, and changes to current planet missions for more variety? Or will there be new planets added with new mission types added into the game in future expansions?
Aside from that, is there any long term goal of making an open world environment with a large map for players? It would be nice to touch down on a planet and not only have it as just a mission, but have the ability to explore a set world that more than just 4 players are on, aside from dojos of course.
-
I fell out of the map and continued falling, didn't even die on a Void mission...
-
I think that it would be a great addition to have in clan bounty boards that were for clan missions where you hunt npc's like the stalker down and kill them. Tracking this sort of progress could make for some great fun times and discussions. The leader boards could display a multitude of thing's such as clan scores, resource donations, pvp wins/losses from the clan pvp room, and several other things. This would make for a great in clan competitive drive that motivates people! :)
-
Alright, so the chances of this not being a bug are very unlikely. I have run, with my clan, around 50 void missions today alone. We have not encountered a Latron receiver, or a reaper blade. I have 9 handles but not one blade, that's just to put into perspective on how bad those odds are. I sincerely hope this gets fixed and soon. We are just wasting our time and money, and it is getting rather frustrating in attempting to get the new prime weapons. Please address this issue soon.
-
I have not gotten it once and I have run about 50 void missions with my clan, it is very annoying. Noone in my clan has gotten it either, I feel somewhat ripped off in terms of money.
Remove Platinum Trading From Game
in General
Posted
If there was a competitive system where the platinum had a correlation to gaining power more rapidly than others, then it would be a problem, but DE has a long ways to go before they can implement a system that brings the best of what Warframe has to offer to a competitive scene of any type thus making this a bit of a moot point, also like others have mentioned, it could lead to a subscription model and that's just not at all what I personally want nor what would probably help the game turn the profit it does.
