  1. So we all know that one of the big problems of the current star chart is that many great tilesets like Earth don't get visited after a time because you are too high level. Even when starting with brand new frames and weapons your ability and knowledge will probably push you to Jupiter or Saturn for the better xp and loot. On the other hand if you make the early planets harder then you alienate new players who might not be able to follow the curve whilst they are learning.

     

    Additionally I feel that the quests are one of the most rewarding aspects of the game. The storylines allow you to get to know certain characters better and do a great job in fleshing out the warframe universe. This contrasts sharply with the old way of acquiring warframes - spamming boss assassination missions until that last piece finally drops. It's hard to take the taunts of Vay Hek seriously when you have killed him a dozen times before. Also we know that having people gain new warframes through quests are a good idea and popular.

     

    My idea is to join these ideas to create a new multi-tiered star map with more story and quest integration and more emphasis placed on the characters.

    1. Each planetary system begins at Tier 1. Enemy levels are the same as they are at present. Players work their way through the nodes on the map in much the same way that they do at the moment towards the boss to unlock the next planet.
    2. The first difference is that the nodes should build more of a cohesive storyline for each planet. Each planet will have a stronger theme with a boss that matches that theme. For example one planet might be a corpus weapon research facility. Missions would be built towards investigating or stealing this new technology. The final boss would also be themed in this way. Whilst not a full quest this should give some quest like features and would mainly only require some mission selection changes, win criteria changes, and voice acting.
    3. The second difference is that you only need to kill the boss once to get the reward. In the example of a corpus weapon research facility they final loot might be a 'big laser' blueprint, with the parts having dropped along the way (stolen in a spy mission, found by a lone tenno in a survival mission, etc.). This is the same as some quests at present.
    4. Once the boss is killed the next tier of that planet opens. Level difficulty increases. There is either a new boss or an evolution of the old boss. For example a Sergeant might be replaced with a tougher Captain, or a 'normal' Hek might be replaced by a mecha-Hek. This not only gives you more ability to dive deeper into the background of the warframe universe, but also gives a great sense of progress. Other than that the planet works much the same as the previous tier.
    5. This has no limit. Some parts of a tier might be opened up from a different quest line (so Second Dream could unlock a part of the Earth tier). Over time more and more tiers can be added with new characters and challenges. You could also use this to introduce concepts such as the Syndicates.
    6. Players can select from any tier that is open to them, so they are not locked into the new higher tier. This allows players to play at a level they want to. This way they can select tilesets they like because there are new challenges in old tilesets. But also tilesets don't have to be locked either and new ones can be added or revisited.
  2. Moomins are the training clan of the Prometheus Alliance. We are looking for newer or returning players that are interested in teamwork and tactics to join us to learn the game to a higher level. You must be able to connect to Mumble with a working microphone. You must be aged 16+ with a decent level of activity and primarily play in European peak times. There is no minimum MR requirement.

     

     

    In return you will receive the support of your clan and alliance which includes many experienced players, a fun social community, and help with getting you the right equipment that will suit your play style and boost your enjoyment of the game. We have a complete dojo. You will be accelerated through your development, being taken to harder challengers and shown how to succeed.

     

     

    Once you feel you have done enough to graduate you are free to remain a part of the clan and help pass your knowledge on to the fresh intake, transfer to another alliance clan, or take the trial to join the Ethereal Wind.

  3. Looking for 3 likeminded players who will rotate the EV trin spot with me. I have a good trin and frost so am good to support in missions like Draco, but I also want focus! :)

    Who we are looking for

    Survivalist team players! The clan is all about creating strong 4 player teams that work well together. This is mainly for T4 survival runs, but really any aspect of the game is something that we do, we just want to do it well as a team. Orokin Moon Puzzles, ODD farming, Event scores, or our preference T4S 1hr+ runs. We don't always hang on mumble but we do jump on for this sort of game because it's at the point where taking your hand off of the controls for a second gets you killed is where we like to play, so you need a microphone. We also like experimental concepts, so if we want to try something crazy we expect you to give it a go, but also if you have a mad idea you want to run we're up for tagging along. We don't expect you to be a super high MR, but we do expect that you invest in your equipment to be viable at high level missions.

     

    • We ask that you be active. That doesn't mean you are on every day, and it doesn't mean you can't take a short break. But if you are going to be gone for more than a week let someone know so we can hold your spot.

       

    • We ask that you join in. We're a small clan because we want to forge strong teams. If there are four of us on and three want to do a T4S we really prefer that you are not the guy that wants to farm some neurodes right then.

       

    • We ask that you be helpful. We all need to assist each other. If someone in alliance chat needs help with a mission then take a few minutes to do so.
