  1. Yeah it's bugged for me. Saw a couple of people who also has bugged slash dash that do no damage to enemies... it works sometimes but most of the times when I use slash dash on my excalibur, I just slide right through the mobs but they take absolutely no damage, can devs fix this? Slash dash is my most used move on excalibur :(

  2. So basically I need some help deciding on what primary weapon I should buy...

Awhile ago, I had my eyes set on Gorgon but then I went on the wiki page and saw all these negative comments about it and it made me think twice about spending my credits on it...I currently have a rank 19 Braton. (The upgraded version, not default)

Should I buy the Gorgon when I reach rank 3 or should I just keep my Braton? What other guns would you guys suggest?

P.S: No shotguns please, i know they are very powerful but I like the feel of rifles better :P

  3. i sure hope so... i got like 4 rares against at least 100 commons and 10 (?) uncommons in the last 2 days.

the rates really got dumped down with the last patch and it feels like suffering for mods (i want), which in my opinion should be more accessible (when it comes to survivablility and damage) should you want to keep up with the enemies level.

what do i care if got a 'rare' mods that marks 'loot' (cabins full of credits/orbs) or enemies appear on my mini map, when i'd rather be able to kill things with just one clip of rifle/pistol instead of burning through 3 -.-

also after 5 days i finaly got my 1st !!!11 shield capacity upgrade... i really feel like the RNG is messing with me

don't get me wrong, the game is great! but keeping up with it is another matter

Agreed. Spend almost a whole day playin the game yesterday and couldn't get my hands on even 1 rare mod. They really need to rework the drop rate, the drop rate nerf was way too hard last update.

  4. I'de like to know how people knew to farm rares b4 the hotfix. (infested defences were around 15-20 people the day b4) each.

Some people were complaining on forums that rare mods drop too easily >.> so some people probably saw a drop rate nerf coming and farmed the hell outta defense missions before the hotfix rolled in...too bad I wasn't smart enough :/

  5. How about DE increase the drop rate for shocking touch and flow, then bring it back down to drop rate: Never.

The only mods I've never seen :'(

Hmm I was lucky enough to obtain them before the 7.7 hotfix, but I really want the ice damage mods for my rifle and melee...but guess I am not getting them anytime soon :/

  6. I understand where you are coming from, but in the same respect, I do not understand. I understand that newer players would be having a hard time being they are still trying to grasp the game and all of its mechanics, but I don't understand cause after you know what you are doing, it shouldn't be too bad. I just did a full mercury run solo using no mods on my Ash (except powers), no mods on Paris, no mods on Lato Vandal, and No mods on cronus. While I wasn't dishing out the damage I'm used to, I still didn't have to bad of a time, just required more aim and definitive use of the Pistol Scavenger, especially on Vor being that was my primary weapon most of the time.

While my health and whatnot would be higher than a new player, I still only had to worry every now and then about it. Playing solo, you're kinda forced to play more carefully, so I wasn't moving as fast, and in my Vor run with other people, I still didn't have to much of an issue dealing damage while surviving. My only problem was when enemies ganged up, but as long as I stuck with teammates, I was fine, which is honestly a plus because that means there is a better chance rushers will just get slaughtered and have to deal with sticking together.

If you are trying these maps solo, then maybe thats where things are getting hard. While Mercury is very capable of being solo'd, this game is still a co-op game at heart and not really meant to be played alone.

And yes, I have played for a while, hit 50 hours today, and I put over 100 hours in Vanquish so this game was borderline made for me lol. You just gotta be quick. The faster you are, the better you become. Try higher sensitivity and just adjust to it is one big pointer I can give.

You are still an exprienced player though, you know the mechanics for this game very well. As I said before, first impression is very important for a new player to stick around with the game, if the start comes off as a boring griding fest for a new player, I don't think they would stay around to truly know what the game is fully capable of.

  7. so basically from your post your saying as a new player you would have to run the first and basic maps too many times to get interested let alone involved deeply in the game?

not good if thats the point, i might make a new account and have a look.

Yes I would say so, even the first map Mercury proved a challenge to my rank 20 excalibur after this update, I don't know how new players who knows absolutely nothing can enjoy this game :/ First impression is very important.

  8. You're speaking from your point of view, it sounds like that you have been playing this game for awhile now and should have gathered many mods, but imagine a new player starting the game with no mods at all. It is way too hard for them, I myself is counted as a new player and this new update really disappoints me. As you said before, you were doing, jupiter and Earth missions, those are fairly high leveled planets. DOesn't matter much to you, but think of the newer players and you will understand how harsh it is for them.

  9. Agree with OP, please revert it back to 7.6, enemies are way too hard to deal with right now. As for the lowered drop rate, it might not matter much to veterans, but it does to us new players. If you want more new players to join the game, I would really suggest reverting the enemy buff and lowered drop rate changes. A enemy buff was needed as countermeasures for the passive shield and health but this buff is rediculous.

  10. I agree with you but I find that there are more drops than before, at least for me anyway.

the increased damage is just to offset the new passive increase in stats that the frames get now. Since before you could cap out shield at abot 600 is on most frames and now you can hit over 1000 easily, they had to input some sort of countermeasure. I do miss being all-powerful though D:

Mm, I do notice rare mods do drop less now tho, as the name suggest, they are suppose to be rare, but we need those mods to deal with the buffed enemeies >.<

I agree with you that there needs to be some sort of counter measures, but even with the passives, the buff was too much. Especially for new players just starting out, they have no extra shields. xD I personally ran a few Mercury mission to see the changes and I can say they were buffed SIGNIFICANTLY, I was having trouble to deal with them and I am a rank 20 excalibur :P

  11. So I was reading around the general discussion forum and found out that there are a couple of threads that mentioned some of the hidden changes made in the game.

    - Increase in enemy damage

    - Drop rate lowered

    - A few weapon changes that weren't noted

I am personally fine with weapon balances, but the increase in enemy and lowered drop rate in my opinion should be reverted. First of all, the enemies are now way too hard for new players (myself) who have not gotten any good mods yet, and the lowered drop rate just doesn't help. This might not seem to be a big problem to some of the experienced players but for players who are just starting, this is a bit too harsh on them.

Also I believe that DE should note all the changes made in a patch.

    What are your opinions?
