  1. -- I was playing warframe today and I got to thinking... Alot of people are focused on 'endgame' content, buffs/nerfs, etc. I started to think, "what about the small stuff?". Then it hit me... well..... more like I shot him.... anyway, I was looking at the Grineer Shield Lancer and thinking.... "why is he so ineffective?". After a few small tests and actually paying attention to the fodder I was mowing down it dawned on me... the shield is not working! Well it kinda works, but not to the extent it could. Now I do recall back in the day when he was first introduced people flew to the forums saying that they couldnt kill him, DE plz nerf and so on. Dont get me wrong I love this unit, not only does he provide cover for his Grineer friends (which I love how they get behind him for cover) and cause me problems when he decides to shield bash me (then kick shoot me while im down) but, he seems to be a very ineffective unit as is. (This is just my opinion)

    > Get rid of the hit box at the top of his shield

        - This would make him a more effective unit (might go back to the way it was when he first came out which would make this idea null and void)

        - Would require minimal time to change

-- Another thing I see constantly are units that just bypass me. I will be shooting my way through a group of enemies and I will happen to notice a squad of grunts run by me like im not just mowing through their friends. Im thinking, "What, Am I not worth your time?". Sometimes I will find myself chasing some of these guys around because they apparently have tunnel vision and dont know I even exist (I assume they are locked on another Tenno and are heading for them). Now you are probably thinking im going to suggest that the A.I. be dumbed down and just focus on the first shootable target they come across, right? Wrong, I was thinking more along the lines of basic tactics.

    > Have enemy units attempt to surround Tenno

       - This might be more of an intensive change (never programmed A.I. before)

       - Lone Tenno (especially one who is seperated from the squad) could get surrounded if not careful

       - Would promote group play instead of lone wolfing it up

       - Military power does not use basic military tactics (this could also be a side effect of their cloning issues, perhaps their minds are being effected and are reverting to more barbaric tactics of sheer force?)

-- The Grineer seem reluctant to use a few of their... exotic weapons. They just have a few weapons that just seem like they were ready to use but noone was brave enough to try. Like the Jat Kattag, imagine a melee unit trying to use that effectively. Now correct me if I am wrong but, wasnt the whole purpose of the Nukor to show that the Grineer had some grasp of energy weapons?

    > Lets get crazy! Jat Kattag/Nukor units!

       - maby have them few and far between

       - Jat Kattag was invented by the Grineer for a reason... someone has to be using it (aside from the Tenno), right?

       - Nukor was developed to show the Grineer's technological prowess, let them show it off (even if it is a new weapon and manufacturing might still be slow)

       - rare units that would spice up combat a bit, like a pinch of wasabi

-- One unit that makes me feel really bad shooting is the Grineer Butcher. We as Tenno get guns, this poor sap gets a cleaver (im not sure if he is forced to do this or maby this is some form of Grineer punishment), im thinkng... what if he got a very small, like the size of a helmet (buckler?) shield so he could block like one or two bullets (maby even a melee strike) before it breaks or he goes down?

    > Give melee unit(s) a micro shield (perhaps arm mounted?)

       - 1-2 hit shield that could help the poor guys close the distance (similar to corpus helmets)

       - depending on where the unit is hit the shield may be 100% ineffective anyway

       - who goes out to meet an enemy, who has taken down droves of your kind, with just a hatchet? (defend yourself man!)

       - might make large groups of this enemy more dangerous (maby... possibly...)

-- And finally I come to my last idea, I was looking at the Invasion missions and wondering why such a thing would go un-squandered. What I mean is, these groups (Corpus/Grineer) reach out to us Tenno and ask that we help them defend/take some ship for a reward. What if the Grineer/Corpus staged a plea for help and set the Tenno up for an ambush? One old saying that comes to mind, "Once bitten, twice shy" might be one reason behind this. Try to set the Tenno up and they might not come to our aid when we need them kind of thing. But what if that made the Corpus/Grineer delve deeper into their coffers and dish out more money/rewards to draw us back?

    > To be honest I havent fully flushed this idea out yet

       - possibly have the mission take you to a room where it looks like nothing is going on

       - suddenly the lights go off and the room locks down and suddenly the G3 are let out of a crate or something

       - maby theres a bomb in the room and all of the hacking panels were disabled/destroyed

       - something sinister here

NOTE: these ideas did not include the use of mods in their inception (like using a punch through mod to get through a Shield Lancer's shield), everything was thought up in a purely vanilla format. Also these ideas are purely from a Grineer standpoint (even tho a few of these ideas could go over to the corpus too).

I have never posted before (not that I can think of anyway, and only recently have I even commented on some posts so if these ideas were already tossed out there... I apologise for taking them. These are just some thoughts, my brain does its best to come up with ideas, sometimes it fails... let me know what ya think.

  2. Why do people keep citing this when they whine about Limbo's appearance? What does that mean?

The Warframes are highly advanced vessels of smash everything and burn it too. I thought Space Ninja was just a cute moniker.

A ninja (忍者?) or shinobi (忍び?) was a covert agent or mercenary in feudal Japan. The functions of the ninja included espionage, sabotage, infiltration, and assassination, and open combat in certain situations. - Wikipedia

Ninjas are always shown in movies and T.V. shows as silent stealthy killers. In reality most ninjas never even looked like what youd expect, many were farmers and workers and woiuld often work in the areas they ninja'd in. In other words you dont need to look like a ninja to be a ninja.

  3. I think warframe should change slogan because saying "Ninja's play free" to older slogan like "Suit up". The reason is that frame that aren't Ash is not ninja. Ash is only one that follows the slogan. The reason am talking about this is looking at the new frame -limbo, isn't right. As well seeing (for example) Rhino - who can stop time by smashing his feet as well Nova who can blowsh*t up. Am not gonna force my opinion on you but take into consideration. :)

    Thanks for reading
