  1. I started with Excalibur and it's still my favorite frame. If you level up your power range and the radial javelin, you can clear entire rooms (and their adjacent hallways) so you'll never be stuck in a bind. I don't even equip the other powers so as to give my frame more points for other mods. The only thing is you have to watch out for those disrupters. Nasty little guys. 

  2. So... the game is brilliant. I love being part of the beta because something new comes out all of the time but I think the concept needs to breach this barrier of "run around and kill things" mode. I would love to see mounted turrets on defense maps, or missions where you have to ambush a convoy, or even better, to fight ON a moving high speed train or something. OR jumping from air ship to airship like in avatar. We need more than just run, hack, shoot, kill. 

     

    Oh looking at another post too--it'd also be awesome to have an open map with a fort in the center that you have to breach. The team could decide on the approach and coordinate the efforts of snipers and what not--so far all of the missions are pretty mindless. Chat hasnt worked for me since I got the game and I have no problem completing missions at a good pace. Itd be nice for some coordination to become necessary, at least on some maps. 

  3. So this is more comical than anything else, but somewhere along the course of a mission one of the data modules floated to the top of the ceiling, far out of reach. In any case, we all had to abort the mission. I'm not sure what would cause this buuuut it is what it is. I can't seem how to attach files, otherwise Id attach a lovely screen shot demonstrating this. 

  4. Since I installed the open beta when it was first announced on steam, I have received the "Cannot connect to chat server, Error 10061" I submitted a ticket and they kept asking for more information and eventually discontinued the ticket. Sad. Hehe. but have any of you received this and found a solution? I'm not talking about from time to time (like when the server got glitchy last week) but all of the time. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

  5. I agree with this post. I just posted something earlier today about somethign similar. My big pet peeve is after you get knocked down by a ball or an infected exploding its guts. There is this delay in the animation where you cannot control your character.. a VERy frustrating aspect of the animatiom simply because this is a game where... well, we control a character. So you take away that control and what have you got left..?

  6. haha yea, I admit that the knock down is a big part of what makes the game challenging at times. Im not asking to take that away, just that I hate that my controls no longer work while I am getting up. It ruins the "feel" of the game because it disconnects the player from the character in game. The fluidity requires constant control, whether youre actually accomplishing something or not.

  7. One of the reasons why warframe has resonated with many gamers is the fact that you can be such a total bada**. You can jump up walls, flip backwards, land in a roll and slash your enemy in one fluid chain of motions. It is this total sense of control and fluid awesomeness that I think many players love. So what drives me crazy are those moments where you get knocked down by an exploding infested or what not. Instead of it being a fluid recovery, the player forfeits control of the character and a standard animation causes the warframe stand up very slowly, during which time you cannot move, crawl, stagger, or hobble away. The whole flow of motions is halted dead in its tracks by this static recovery action.

    If my warframe has to get up from getting knocked down, I want to choose how it gets up. The whole game is based on fluid motions, so they really should not inject a "standing up" action that prevents me from moving or even choosing my direction. So, my suggestion would be to allow players to continue moving their warframe EVEN if it's a neglible amount. There is something entirely frustrating about having your controls have no effect on the warframe whatsoever. Its stupid. So let us stagger, crawl, hobble or even fall in the direction of our choosing while recovering. Thanks!

  8. I activated my radial javelin power while twitching out under the influence of crawler vomit. It killed everything including the vomitting crawler, but I was stuck in the animation that occurs when being vomited on. I waited for a while, but I kept spasming out.

  9. So I have a spotty wireless connection at times so lag is a given at times. When I play warframe if I am lagging then sometimes the long green doors will not open. This occured as I was one room away from the exit--everyone else ran through and I could see them moving on the mini map, but once the door closed, I could not get it open. No, there were no pannels and nope we were not in lockdown mode. Everyone else just ran through. We sat there until the time expired.

    Another issue with lag is after the mission completed, the ejection cutscene happened and then the screen went black (i could still hear the chanting). I tried to quit the mission but it said that it could not because the mission was already completed. I tried quitting the game, but it would take me back to the black screen.
