  1. What difficulty? Nothing about PoE is even remotely difficult, even the Teralyst isn't difficult. Don't misunderstand me, it's annoying as all Hek and it's a massive damage sponge yes... but it's not difficult. The most vexatious part of PoE is the RNG but that's always been a thing with warframe.

    5 hours ago, Kainosh said:

Before i realised that Void mode negates all damage, i was kinda hyped that we finally got some terrifying boss.

Also, totally with you on this Kainosh, popped my happiness bubble instantly

  2. Will Phorid be receiving an update anytime in the near future? So many bosses are getting new, fabulous updates that make them memorable and (at least for a time) challenging. However, Phorid remains painfully easy to kill and I feel that such is dreadful, especially given his size and the fact that he is a clearly more evolved Infested specimen.

  3. Okay, so, alternate suggestion for the abilities to fall in line with the absorbtion and thus physiological theme.

(Alterations to first): Have it as an armor ability like Rhino's Iron Skin, with Ampulex 'growing' a protective coating. However, only affects enemy shots or melee attacks.

(Alterations to second): Have energy be released in a small radius to help with teamplay and keyed to seconds or enemy health (100%/75%/50%/25% sort of thing). Possibly with an energy effect around hands in the vein of Mesa's shooting gallery.

(Alternative for third): Ampulex injects a nearby enemy (single target line of sight respected) with a tendril that inflicts puncture damage on contact and erupts 9/7/5/3 seconds later causing 25/50/75 slash damage in a radius of 5/7/9 meters. If an enemy survives it suffers a slash proc and is stunned.

(Alternative for fourth) Mass Consumption: Ampulex grows still for 7/5/3 seconds before unleashing 5/7/9 tendrils outward to enemies within 8/12/16 meter radius that siphons 50/100/150 health every 5/3/2 seconds and increases armor by 5/10/15% for 10/15/20 seconds. Enemies killed by this ability explode into bloody chunks (no damage, just cosmetic). Ampulex can move once tendrils are unleashed, but moving away from linked enemies will sever the connection prematurely. Uses 100/125/150 energy per casting. Cannot be used until increased armor duration ends.

[still time can't be reduced, tendril quantity would scale by 1 per 20% of power strength beyond 100%, tendril range would increase by 4 per 20% power range byond 100%, damage would scale with power strength 50 damage per 20% over 100%, and increased armor duration would scale with power duration]

  4. Venturing a little out there, I'd agree that the Tenno aren't energy beings, but perhaps of another form of matter. The Void is where Orokin logic and reason failed, so we can't simply think about feasible forms of life from the traditional perspectives of flesh and blood. Perhaps an intermediate form between flesh and blood Orokin and Void energy being. This potential form could easily enough be a form of organic plasma or unknown form of matter. This would also fit in with the Warframes being suits and amplifiers for whatever energies these void-scarred beings possess/ed. It would also fit in with the capacity for the Tenno to inhabit a wide variety of different warframes, the illusion of facial features could be a hold over of the personality and memories of the organic origins of the Tenno manifesting themselves through the new plasma form. Of course such is known from the Lotus and Codex entries suggesting that the original personalities and memories of the Tenno may have been wiped out by whatever/whoever put the Tenno into cryostasis. This last bit of conjecture being from how we don't see modern Tenno being referenced to having facial expressions or the like.

  5. You dont understand. Its stats are lackluster, they dont justify a MR7 requirement. In dmg 1.0 its stats were great but wen dmg 2.0 came DE didnt adjust it for 2.0. Saying its fine with 1 forma shows that you havent even maxed it :I

I maxed it ages ago, Mastery tests mean nothing to me, I did 7 so long ago I forget what the test was even. I use it to create a curtain of damage with any frame, combo it with Mirage and it's absolutely ridiculous. Most rapid fire weapons have innately garbage stats (case in point again, the gorgon in all it's recycled flavors).

  6. Dera and Flux do need a buff, Lanka is sniper primary and thus will always be inferior to Vaykor Marelok. Prova is a machete, enough said. Serro is easiest to mod polearm for procs, Spectra is crap, Surpa is fine once you slap a forma on it (or 3 for endgame viability), Dual Cestra is trash since you can get Perrin's superior version.

Mutalist Quanta is fine, Paracyst needs to be completely reworked, it is such utter garbage in comparison to anything

    Chem: Buzlok,Ignis(so bad now)

Buzlok is a gimmick weapon, Ignis was made invalid by Amprex, which was made uber invalid by Atomos.

Embolist is fine with syndicate mod, Grinlok is useless due to Vaykor Marelok, Jat Kittag can ragdoll anything non-boss (ground smash for hilarity), Dual Raza is just mastery fodder (along with AkSomati).

Other than that though, Torid is ungodly with Mirage (just like the Tonkor), Opticor is best primary sniper rifle, Castanas are trash (thanks to ammo nerf), Akstilleto are awesome, Nami Skyla is crap, Pyrana is crap, Venka is crap that ruined so much hype, Attica is crap, Dual Ichor and Scoliac are awesome, Synapse used to be good but is now a dust collector, Phage is best hallway cleaning shotty. All of these are my opinion, for better or worse.

  7. I have one forma on the Supra, and it works great. It doesn't need 'buffed' in my opinion. With two forma's I could easily make it perfect, and with the syndicate mod on it, the Supra becomes a beast. Could it use some starting polarity slots? Yes, but it's specs are fine the way they are, the recoil and reload are to offset it's otherwise brutal dps. The range and travel time of projectiles also for this as well as being innate in the corpus' rapid fire weapons (i.e. Cestra/Dual Cestra). It's mid range like the gorgon and accuracy fails towards the outer limit of it. Basically, it's a better Corpus version of the Grineer Gorgon (which sucks no matter how many reskins DE puts on it).

  8. 1. Simulacrum let's you examine the basic stats of how a weapon functions in terms of stamina/energy efficiency etc. hence why he referred to it as 'controlled conditions'

    2. Most melee weapons are useless in comparison to anything. The highest damaging one is the Scindo prime, unmodded. Note that dps changes with the weapon too, in addition to stance relating to stamina consumption and furthering dps differentiation by attack speed changes. A regular dagger will have higher dps than a shortsword paired with a shield. Not all weapons are created equal, most of them are mastery fodder in all honesty and while I dislike such, at the same time, I'd rather have mastery fodder than nothing to master.

    3. Issue with a healing gun is really really simple: Loki. Couple Loki with (I assume it would be a beam of sorts so range addition) healing gun results in an invisible healer who can move across the field instantly, and disarm localized enemies.

    4. Torid is an infested weapon, and should have never looked like that ugly recolor of an original ogris. Ogris isn't the same as the bombard's rocket launcher (lacks the minor homing ability)

    5. My point about the disarming enemies and using their weapons, is scaling. 40 minutes into survival, your weapons pretty much suck due to the scaling difficulty. However, the enemies weapons are inversely affected by such. So, my point remains valid in that a valkyr with a disarmed napalms weapon would break scaling. Unless the disarm made their weapon level one, which would render it useless anyways. Also, I chose Valkyr for this example as we are discussing Grineer weapons, the bulk of which are hitscan. Nova has piss poor armor, and vs. hitscan she can easily be taken out, that and wormhole costs more energy than ripline even moreso if you augment ripline to move around the area for next to nothing for energy.

    6. Furis sucks hardcore on higher levels.

    7. Rhino and Saryn lack the ability to easily reach higher elevations where enemies can't easily reach or easily notice.

    8. At the rate DE churns out weapons, they would have to churn out enemies and matching a.i. for them in order to have all weapons of enemy faction make be put into play. Seeing as how long it took them to make a Riot Moa (good job by the by DE) it's inconceivable for them to make good* enemies to match these weapons.

    9. On higher levels melee is solidly useless unless your entire build is melee based (ala Valkyr with eternal war or no 1st or 4th using Chroma).

    10. I apologize for the lack of flow in this reply.

*Good as in not a nullifier, which is just a corpus sniper scaled up and inclined to try and use a sniper rifle at point blank range. Basically, unique enemy a.i. that isn't just another crewman/lancer with a new color and a new gun.

  9. Okay, counter point to defend Silva & Aegis, using the eleventh storm stance, the shield is used as a weapon (short range boomerang move).

    Assorted other points:

Ignis is Grineer make, grineer aren't terribly creative with weapon design, ergo function over appearance.

Healing is reserved for healing powered frames and the health pads you can craft.

You can have exploding arrows on any bow (primary bows, secondaries don't count) with the Thunderbolt mod, making a weapon that uses multiple ammo would be overly complex and create innumerable bugs and conflicts, especially if one considers ammo drop rates and the ammo mutation mods.

From the wiki itself "With the discovery of the Void, many Prime items are being reclaimed by the Tenno and reverse-engineered by the Corpus and the Grineer, their power being realized once more." Hence, Corpus take Braton Prime, and dumb it down to mass produce it, yes it's a mass produced weapon as the page for it even says such.

They're working on heavy weapon concepts, last time I checked at least, a Gorgon or Boltor/Prime are both heavy machine guns and can be modded to fit the bill for chain/gatling gun.

You can block in melee mode.

In Tenno hands the napalm's napalm cannon, as it were, would be ridiculous. Case in point, Valkyr takes it, swing lines to a nice safe spot high up, and proceeds to lay waste to the entire immediate area, with ammo pads, this could be made nigh-endless.

When heavy melee weapons received their umbrella buff (damage, crit, etc.) it put them in a class of their own, the plasma sword hasn't been updated in ages, undoubtedly during the next major weapons update it will be made useful, along with the pangolin sword and the like.

  10. Since they are presently working on proper physics for not only Syndanas but Sugartras, adding a slider would only complicate matters. Sigils had it easy for sliders, since they have no physics to affect them, unless of course you want your (ridiculously large) sugatras to be stock still all the time. Moreover, you have to take into account that larger objects will, usually, have more physics applied to them, thus increasing the load on host end for rendering such pointless cosmetics. I am not saying this out of envy, as I have purchased prime access and have sugatras. They are accessories, they are not supposed to turn your weapon into a ribbon baton/sword/etc. but to accent it in a way that is pseudo-unique to your Tenno/Warframe.

  11. As a syndicate weapon, the AoE is built in, if you don't want the AoE, simply build/buy a gammacor and forma it to one shot = one kill capacity.

Conversely, a Marelok makes for a good one shot secondary, as does the Vasto Prime or Lex Prime, the latter two with minimal forma.

    YES

    18. Do you think DE would host a "first squad to complete the raid event?" or other events of the like which require squads to achieve certain feats such as "fastest time", "Least deaths and revives" , etc etc? If YES, would they be rewarded for doing so and with what?

YES, they would be rewarded with their names on leaderboards however, I wouldn't like to see 'first squad to complete the event'.

    NO

  13. So, this is going to be disjointed a bit, but bear through it.
As a standalone piece, I like it. However, it does go against existing lore as Lightsmith pointed out. The tenno were orokin, scarred and warped by the void, and from what we can connect of the existing lore the warframes act as a sort of armor and amplifier for their innate abilities (such as with Rhino Prime's codex entry showing iron skin outside a frame). From what we can discern, the Stalker himself isn't actually Tenno but rather low guardian, one of no doubt many. We don't actually know who/what the Sentients were, be it an advanced AI or (as I believe) a race born outside of the galaxy and possibly comprised of an exotic form of energy. Also from what we understand the Void is a physical place, perhaps a sort of pocket/alternate dimension that one enters through the various keys, so it is unlikely that the Orokin ships would trail Void energy moreover that given the complexity of their remaining towers that they would be callous enough to endanger low guardians with a void ship presence given how the Tenno came to be and how they were feared (see Mag Prime codex entry). Also from what we understand, the Grineer were a threat that the Orokin largely dealt with, though they lacked an empire they still existed on earth alongside the Corpus and Orokin. The Tenno themselves would probably have only been permitted on earth freely after the end of the Great War, and thus would not be deployed against a Grineer threat on the planet when the low guardians were available. The Tenno were feared, reviled, hated even by the military forces of the Orokin empire, and no doubt were the boogeymen of civilians. I won't contest the Stalker's ability to use Mind Control/Chaos given that we don't presently know the full extent of his powers and he already has displayed the ability to use Absorb from Nyx. I would theorize that given the ability for the Stalker to enter the void that he has keys of his own and during the time period after the Great War when the Tenno slumbered, he accessed the towers and was effected by the Void in some way to allow him these powers or that his suit enables him to utilize abilities used against him enough, a sort of adaptive exoskeleton if you will. From what we understand through the codex, the Tenno's anatomy doesn't properly compare to traditional concepts. Their bodies and minds were warped by the Void in ways even the Orokin didn't fully understand (though they later understood how to channel the powers granted by this damage). Thus the ability to grab at a Tenno's heart wouldn't be properly accurate. As far as we know, the Stalker was always a member of the low guardians, and we don't know if they were temple servents or if the Orokin had religion at all. His armor being similar to Excalibur's could very well be the prototype for the Excalibur warframe, being that Excalibur was the first and it would be a logical move for the Orokin to utilize the armor of the low guardians as a sort of frame for their first attempts at channeling the void energies and madness of the Tenno. I do like the concept of Nyx having been the Stalker's sister (prior to being warped by the void of course) which would explain his affinity for using psychological warfare.

As for grammatical/syntax errors that I noticed:
"... wife, a son and a daughter..." should have a comma after son
"...The were the reason I joined..." should be They
"...to Protect them..." should have a lowercase p
"... I created as shadow and darkness as I could possibly manage..." should read "...I created as much shadow and darkness..."
"...I went into hiding with my and became..." should read "... I went into hiding with my family..."

"...there my heart sunk..." should read "...there my heart sank..."
"...forged 3 weapons..." should read "...forged three weapons..."

  14. WAR-395672

Randomly crashing for no reason I can tell, this is the first time the crash reporter popped up afterward. Has been happening since these last operation went into effect. At first simply having specters equipped on anyone in the party caused me to crash, now it's just random. Also crashes only affected me only as host, as a client I had no issues.

  15. The only two mods I actually like/use on that list are undying will (useful when leveling a new frame or if your kubrow has poor luck staying alive) and heavy impact which I use with my Zephyr for double shockwave spams on her 2nd. Other than those two, I fully agree with you.
