  1. I must say, I just finished the Second Dream and I loved it. Really cool how it kinda ties us, sitting at our computers playing Warframe, directly into the story. Being very much like our Tenno counter parts controlling their Warframes. Our inner child playing video games ;D

Don't really understand why some are upset by this revelation. Of course I'm an Orson Scott Card fan so I'm really not apposed to child centric sci-fi :-p

  2. I haven't played in a while and I'm coming back to try this new Parkor 2.0. Its' like learning to play all over again...

This, so much of this. I've been playing a few hours with the new parkour system, and no matter what I try, I can't seem to recapture the same feel of the warframe I loved before the change

...and that is probably one of the main issues here. Some people don't like change. Mechanically it may be just as good...or even better with some tweaks...but no matter what, your hardcore players are so used to the old system, anything this different will seem bad to them, at least at first.

From what little I've fooled around with...thematically it feels and looks better than the old system. Is it as "effective" though? I'm not sure yet myself, although many of posted some helpful tutorials that seem to say so.

  3. I would have rather they just added an "Open Universe" where we fly our ships manually to each planet and fight stuff on the way with our ships. While sometimes doing space based missions. Finding loot and materials for everything. Not a totally separate Gundam style game with not enough Gundam :-/

  4. When I first heard of Archwing, I was hoping that it was a new way to play, that was more seamless with the normal FPS space ninja gameplay. I don't play it because it's just a totally different game. it doesn't feel like it belongs. Not necessarily the lore...but how the gameplay fits. it's just a totally separate game. A style of game that I think I could have fun elsewhere with.

I would have rather they spent their time on making the core gameplay deeper, not make a totally different game mode with separate parallel progression.

  5. But think of that from the perspective of a new player. The fact that its a quest after Vor's Prize means that the new players will be farming for hours to get a kubrow egg, and then realize they don't have the resources or funds to provide maintenance for their kubrow. Sentinels can be manually colored, accessorized, don't die as often, can self-revive, and have better utility capabilities. Not to mention they cost less, upon construction and from then on out.

I think that's the main issue. Someone starting  this game for the first time with Update 14, or just hasn't played in ages, having this Kubrow quest so earlier makes you feel like you are supposed to have one right away. Of course personally, I've run that quest about 10 times and haven't found an egg. I almost think it's more to prepare new players to farming in this game ;D

  6. So far I love the new private ship and UI. Very immersive and puts things into context. The only real issue I have is the new nav map. it looks great, but you lost the sense of progression. I usually only play for a week or two every few months, and this version doesn't seem to be very clear where I'm supposed to go next. Maybe if there was a simple tutorial on how it's supposed to work it wouldn't be a huge deal.

  7. If new content isn't pumped out constantly, which it usually isn't, there is a simple fix. End game gear should never out pace end game difficultly. Plus in the meantime, increasing the amount of bullets it takes to down an enemy should never be the primary method of difficulty. That just slows the gameplay down and make it boring. Enemies should be lethal but not spongy.

  8. I agree with this. I'm kinda regretting my first warframe choice as well. It would be nice to have a trial period with all three. Or make it so the first three frames can be easilly purchased with credits instead of platinum. Or heck, make all three free, kinda like how Tribes: Ascend did with their model. Made three of the basic classes unlocked on sign up. Each suitable in filling the major roles in the game. The other more specialized classes were the ones that required unlocking.

Not saying I'm familiar with the class/warfare roles in this game, but being asked to permanently chose one warframe before you even know what the game is about isn't cool.

  9. I'd like people stop saying "It's not P2W if it isn't PvP", because it certainly doesn't make it any better.

With enough money you can buy enough things to allow you to steamroll a level without the help of anyone.

If you're able to do that, it is NOT co operation, which I'd like to remind people that it's the WHOLE @(*()$ POINT OF THE GAME : CO OPERATION.

    SECOND

Even if, as you said, it is for the TEAM, again, it doesn't make it any better, because if you're the only able to do a things, it's not fun for the rest of your team who didn't paid.

It simply ruin the fun for the guys who plays for free.

    THIRD

Pay to win doesn't stand only for PvP, it stand for games who allow you to win simply by putting enough money that the game is asking, simple as that.

    You win

    Because you pay.

Saying that the game isn't pay2win is pure stupidity.

Even if these poor arguments were 100% true, it's perfectly fine in a PvE game. The only valid negative that can come from P2W in a PvE game is jealously...which is pretty pathetic. Otherwise, the people that will pay to win, will be helping people complete missions that don't pay. Other people are paying so you can win. Winning in a PvE game is beating the environment, NOT other players. So besides people that have e-peen envy, people should actually be glade to be playing with people that are paying to win.

As far as people playing solo with super expensive characters, why should I care? How does their ability to steamroll content directly affect my gameplay?
