    They are far to be weak, right now Zaw its the way to go if you want a decent dagger, machete even a sword better than broken-war, dont forget when you gild one its get 10% extra in critical and status chance.

    this, even with the stat boost polearm/staves range its everything.

    The only good Zaw I have found is a Balla+Peye+Ekwana Jai II combo. Fastest dagger in the game, and it has decent damage for a dagger. Put Covert Lethality and max Attack Speed + Channeling Efficiency for an excellent stealth weapon.

    Also, you can make a Machete rivaled only by the Nami Solo. Too bad machetes are still terrible anyway.

    Get s a zaw machete with Cyclone kraken, the difference its like day and night

    when i load into the plains i get a few good spawns and then they start to spawn further away till no fish spawn for full 30min (that is the longest i waited)
    currently the only solution seems to be: load in > fish till it breaks (4-8 fish) > leave plains > load in again

    super annoying
    cant wait till they fix this mess

    Also bubbles spawns too far in the ocean, to sites you cant reach.

    daggers having the shortest range, slow to meh animation speed for reasons and overall low stats in damage/status/critical even the critical multiplier without mentioning it doesnt have the highest finisher multiplier in game instead hammers have it becouse reasons.

    then yeah not having CL in a not Zaw dagger its really crapy becouse you could use other melee and have better results. CL its the only thing makes dagger unique in form of a band-aid mod.

    by default daggers should have the highest finisher multiplier in game, but alas it doesnt.

    yes im kinda dissapointed theres no dual Zaws but figgures daggers x2 still shiet becouse its use daggers stats as model. But if we are talking about shiet stats melee we should add no Zaws machetes too.

  5. Things can easy kill you in the plain even with a tanky frame.

    • Mad Slash procs.
    • Napalm.
    • Getting a grenade napalm in the face.
    • Getting nuked by a level 60 bombardier.
    • Gattlers level 60.
    • Drop capsules landing in you face.
    • Dropship minigun.
    • Getting sniped

     

    Without mentioning Freeze grenades.

Besides the benefits it has with CL (higher dps and faster finishers), for open combat it's also arguably better because the fast attackspeed let's you build up the combo counter faster, you proc status more often (good if you wanna do a Condition Overload build on it) and let's you get to the finisher combo in Stinging Thorn faster.

    yeah full speed + crit its the way to go with dagger thx to the new stance to stack bleed and get the finisher faster also speeding up the animation.

    You end with: 32% crit, multiplies x2, 60 base damage and a whoping 1.16 speed even the status chance will still remain "decent" in a 10% in comparation to any dagger or even other melees in the game.

    How im seeing it Zaw are going to be stronger as prime if not more in some types of weapons, right now Zaws totally put in shame any dagger or machete.
