Don't know where you got your numbers, but $50 is 1000 platinum, which is enough to buy you a warframe, all your weapons for that warframe, colors, a pet, and even some leftover for more potatos or other things.
that's a fair $50 to me.

I see you edited and fixed it. But in your original quote, you put everything in the quote box, including your own response. So it looked like you were showing that I said a bunch of wierd S#&$. So thanks for fixing that i guess.
The bunny ears were a pretty average and normal event, same with the easter egg boxes. I'll be honest, i didnt really care for it because it didnt add anything to the game. But it also wasnt a meme. It was just...Easter. Alot of other online games do themed events as well. Like having Jack O Lanterns or christmas trees or fireworks in game. Thats alright with me. But clique based things? No way man. Like as funny as i think it would be for memes i find funny to be in the game, it would just be sick and unfair to everyone else. I'm sure some of you dont want to see all blood replaced with feces and death cries replaced with farting sounds. Its just a personal level where you draw the line of respect and compromise to let warframe be warframe, with its own originality. That being said, i'll copy paste something from one of my own threads because its relevant.

Spriggs and OrtuOcelot pretty much answered for me on what this thread is about. I like your post on making some infested missions much more eerie though. Sounds good I hope they implement that into the game too.
I have to say though the radar or minimap flickering idea would be interesting and also good if combined with this slenderman-type event.
Like everytime it's near you, your HUD and minimap start to flicker. That'd be cool. It would let you know that he's close by even if you can't see him. Players would turn around and be like "WTH, where is he?" Then turn back around only to find him standing right in front of them. AHHHHHH!!!!!.... sorry that was my text-scream. :D

Well a quote, is, word for word, what someone else has said. Editing the quote is then putting words in my mouth. Thats the whole deal. Having an empty quote is just a bookmark to show the target of my reply, while saving the text spam if its a large post. Thats why alot of people say "-snip."
I'm not against new content in the game, i'm not against new events for halloween or just in general, but adding things to the game that are purely from a clique is where i cross the line. Example? If in game all the lotus would say to you was "HEY DER GUY, I CAN HAZ ARTIFACT PLZ? I NEED YOUR EPIC HELP. BE CAREFUL OF THE SLENDER MAN AND YOU JUST LOST THE GAME." And then in the mission you literally, face off against slenderman. And as a reward at the end of the mission you get an avatar picture reward of a pony from my little pony.
This is an example so you can understand where i'm coming from. That i want to stay as far away from this as possible for Warframe. I dont want to see memes in it. When i refer to the internet, i refer to internet pop culture and trends. I thought you would understand that reference of just "internet." without actually thinking i meant literally, the entire world wide web.
I understand what you're saying. I don't think a new character will change the game in the exaggerated form you just mentioned. Just like the Easter event where the enemy all had bunny ears didn't really change Warframe.
Its just an event, one time deal and its not like I'm saying Slenderman is the "actual character" we want per say. Just an enemy that gives off that creepy vibe. Thats why the title of this thread is "Halloween Idea- Slenderman type enemy."
Hope you understand. I woundn't want my little pony or barbie jumping into my games either.
About the quote thing, I still don't see what you're talking about. The quote looks the same to me from what you posted. They're identical. O.o

I see you're just another typical spammer who can't be helped. The one individual who has to dissagree with everything and everyone. I am sorry you don't like our ideas, which again, are ideas and not actually implemented into the game just to let you know. :D
Let us be civil in our discussions though. If you think having a new enemy, that generates such a scare for this coming Halloween, isn't such a good idea for "your video game," please provide a sound argument to support your answer.

Holiday themed events. Sure. But please keep your memes out of my videogames. Directly putting things from the internet into your videogames where they dont fit makes for a cheapened experience. Look at borderlands. That game isnt one you take seriously because of all the jokes and innuendos. The thought process behind memes being shooed into games is like people screaming "BOOBS OR GTFO" at people. You can have plenty of events without having to throw your internet memes into your games just by sheer popularity. For those of you that think slenderman is "cool." and disagree with me. How would you feel if a million bronies stood up against you and demanded a my little pony themed sentinel? I know i wouldnt. You cant just pick your personal favorites. The best thing to do is just leave the internet out of it. If you like it, then go be with it but dont bring that crap here with you.
lol we're not talking about the real slenderman, I'm sure that would be copyrighted material. Just a new character that brings some creepiness to the table. The stalker and the infested arent quite cutting it. We already have blood and gore spurts on walls after slicing dicing some baddies so why not go all out and make it creepier, even if its just for a holiday event.
No little pony tattoos please.
And the internet is what made Warframe in the first place. The game itself is a combination of ideas from other games, movies, internet, ect... You can't make a good game without giving people what they want. Otherwise, you'd get a crappy game that lacks diversity. One that can't change, alter, and adapt to changing times.
Plus, I think people would enjoy a little scare here and there. :D

These are all really good ideas. I was just thinking creepy supernatural phenomenon thing but you guys went all out.... Stalker squads, betrayals for surviving the terror, new infested characters( maybe wall crawlers like Lickers), and slenderman in space. This could be a combination of Deadspace, Slender, Aliens, and Warframe all in one!!!!

I agree. The cost of plat is okay but the Market prices are insane. I believe 50 bucks can get you somewhere around 300-400 plat and most warframes are about 100-200 plat which is insane, like 15 bucks a warframe. Everything is so costly. At least I have a job to help me pay for plat but not every gamer has the cashflow to afford these slots and plat only materials like color sets. In other words, most Tennos are poor :(

Okay this idea isn't new but it would shake things up a bit for when Halloween comes. The first time we were introduced to the Stalker we were sort of shocked, I know I was, but after awhile of seeing him he's pretty predictable and not so scary.
I think this Halloween there should be a special fright night treat for the tennos. A character that is neither friend to the Grineer, Raiders, or Tennos.
Im thinking an enemy we can't kill ....or at least we don't know how to kill yet.... an enemy so stealthy like the stalker but much more ruthless and doesn't care if we're grineer or Tenno. It will hunt all in the ship or land and the only way to survive is to make it to the evac site before he... it.... gets you.
A being so ruthless it kills everything it touches. If you see it you run, oh boy do you run, with your tails between your legs screaming bloody murder.
If this new entity gets your buddy you can still revive him/her but at your own risk. :D
Anywho, its just an idea. I love jumping off my seat so anything spooky would be awesome

I didn't even know there were hackers in this "Co-op" game. Why in the world do you need to hack a game like this anyway? People need to get some skills and stop this nonsense and work for your rank and gear like everybody else. I hope you catch these hackers and drop the ball on them hard. IP termination and all, not just accounts. In fact, just send the FBI on them, seriously, you can do that. The community will also gladly help you guys in any way we can. Also, a hacker selling services may possibly be from within the DE group. I'd start there and work out. Regarldless, this hacking needs to stop.

They should just get rid of the Forma for building the Dojo and keep it for Warframes, sentinals, and weapons. I know its all for the money that the devs are doing this but its unnecessary.

yea I don't know. It sounds like the team doesn't like Rhino very much since they keep picking on the poor guy. They invented a great character/warframe that seems almost like the Incredible Hulk for Warframe. Now he's just bait.

I just fell through the floor... and then through space I presume since all I see is inifinite darkness... then I died and forced to use a life to revive. Glitches suck... and can be costly :(

okay so basically, Rhino needs to go back to the way it was. Too many people are upset with the Game Devs right now it doesn't look so good. If you can't beat 'em, might as well join 'em.

The 80% damage resistance while using Rhino's Armor ability is fine but he should be immune to poison, pushback from lasers, and melee from enemies while using the ability to accomodate for his super slow speed.

The one good ability Rhino has is the Armor, otherwise he's useless really. I agree with others that if theres going to be a nerf to Rhino it should be 90% damage resistance intead of the 80% and armor causes immunity to poison, knockback from lasers and enemy melee. This will accomodate for Rhino's incredibly slow speed.

If someone has an opinion adverse to yours, you can either use their arguments and check them against your opinion or you can dismiss their opinion as wrong because it disagrees with yours. The latter is a shouting match. The prior is a discussion. Let's try and discuss things. To play devil's advocate: As long as there is no "alliance" resource pool, dojo, chat, allied clans are pointless, because the game does not adequately support infrastructure.
This calls for a feedback thread on the topic of "Clan Alliances". Covering the above mentioned (and other) aspects, multiple small clans could go into a holding to achieve larger goals in their individual cells.
But before then, larger clans have it a lot easier, due to clan chat, a common resource pool in U8, etc. - you see where this is going.
Both approaches make sense. One side wants their small clans, but in alliance (-> needs system support), the other side says, large clans work (-> has system support). The solution should be, finding a state where all are happy. Let's discuss and feedback and brainstorm towards such a solution. There is no helpful result coming from picking on each other. If you are in a discussion to prove someone wrong, without a result, you are not discussing, you are fighting.
Don't fight. We do that ingame. :)

Hello Tennos! My name is Jack Uri (IGN: Jackuri) and I am one of the Warlords of the Secret Squirrel (SS) clan and a friend of OrtuOcelot. There are many things I’d like to bring to the table and I sincerely apologize for how long this is but a lot of time and consideration was taken into account to make this.
First, I’d like to thank everyone for taking the time to look this over and to those who have made suggestions.
We appreciate all your help and please understand that clans who wish to create this alliance WILL be the founding clans of this alliance.
Everyone’s voice will be heard. There will be no dictatorship, tyranny, or one president.
There will be a Council made of Warlords from each clan and an exception of one Advisor (leader) from each clan. Think Knights of the Round Table. Too keep it fair, only one vote from each clan will be accepted when the Council wishes to make a proposal, event, changes, etc.
There are many games that have adopted this idea of creating an alliance between guilds or clans and have relished in the outcome of having close allies from whom they could call friends.
This Alliance between clans from all over the world can have a huge impact on the game. I am sure others will begin to do the same and ally themselves with other clans either for good or for evil purposes… but till then, our allegiance will be the first official WF clan alliance to date.
By taking small steps in forming an alliance, we could end up making ripples that later may become waves which everyone will remember as a time of great impact on WF’s history.
I like to enlighten everyone on some ideas the SS have come up with for the alliance. The idea of having a contract of unification between the clans as to deter anyone from attempting betrayals, commit treason, fraud, or other mischiefs within the alliance. No one likes to be stabbed in the back. :D
We figured a contract typed in Word Document will be created then handed out to all Warlords of every allied clan. The Warlords could then get with their respected clan and highlight any parts of the contract that they wish to bring up for discussion or have changed.
Then say, after each clan is given two weeks to go over the contract, a council meeting through Steam’s Group chat or Skype (whichever one is more convenient) is conducted. The Council will then discuss any comments or concerns relating to the contract and as a ‘Council’we will all have a part in what needs to be changed, added, or taken away.
Then when the contract is finished the Council may vote and sign the agreement by either saying ‘Agree’ or ‘Disagree’; if someone still doesn’t accept the terms of the contract. If the votes are unanimous then the chat log will be saved for future references in some sort of archive as proof to the agreement between clans.
Again I’m sorry for the length of this post but I thought it better to be one long post then 6 or 7 tiny posts. Hope everyone is having fun with WF.
If anyone has any more suggestions, comments, or concerns please feel free to post.
Also if you just want to hate as there are haters out there, please look elsewhere. No need for negative behavior in these forums. These are ideas people have and if you don't want to be a part of it then its better to simply leave it alone then to post hatemail.
BTW: Civil discussions with the intention to downgrade, troll, or harass someone else or their ideas... isn't really civil.
