Click on the stats bar on the top left of your screen. Then click the avatar picture, you will be able to change it.

The latest patch (although no notes yet) seems to of changed the lighting effects dramatically for me and made it alot nicer. None of that overpowering glare.
EDIT;
There are parts of the world that still seem to 'cause' it, but it's not as overpowering as it was.

Personally wether intended or a bug with the generation - I like it. It adds diversity. I found it quite amusing to come across a group of Corpus holding out against the Infected.

It would appear that clip capacity upgrades (via spending skill points) do not appear to work at all on the Lex. It states on the UI that it changes the value from 6.00 to 6.00 which in turn is also shown in-game to not make any difference.

Generally alpha = raw code.
Beta = Content, bugfixes and polish.
Personally I think it's good so far, it is the true meaning of beta.

As with most third party games that feature a launcher, it won't run through steam directly (and feature the overlay). You need to point it to the main executable file.
C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\Local\Warframe\Downloaded\Public
Naturally Warframe.exe - 32bit, Warframe.x64 is for 64bit OS.

It's quite useful, however the biggest problem I personally see plaguing it is that the game is too fast paced to justify using it.

Gonna upgrade to Master after having had more time with the game, then (presuming it's still up when I have the cash) head for Grand Master. :P
One suggestion I would make however is to provide free weapon and warframe slots for the bonus perks.

When you see an alert mission with a mystery/"?" reward, it comes from that. As far as I am aware.

They can be found as blueprints from alert missions. There is a thread somewhere with screenshot evidence supporting it ;)

It isn't Loki, it's Excalibur. It's simply a pro varient of the warframe with a special skin. It's nothing spectacular, but you have to consider the fact that the package comes with alot of plat aswell.

What you get.
The $50 gives you the Excalibur Prime warframe (same as excalibur with custom skin and "Pro" skilltree), approx 1300 Platinum and a "Hunter" founders badge on the forums. The devs have no plans to reset anything unless absolutely neccessary, if they do so however you will be refunded the platinum/get your goodies back after the wipe. ;)

Higher level exterminate missions do have significantly more, tougher, enemies. ;)

That really depends on what you want from a pistol... Personally I love the Aklato (dual Lato's) due to high accuracy at range and reasonably good DPS.

I have to agree with Sikab... They're an enemy that serve a role, just like any other. If you manage to get caught in such a large herd of them you must be doing something wrong.

That sounds rather odd, have you tried running the updater as an administrator to see if it makes a difference?

For me, all my settings were reset (colour schemes, graphics/sound, loadouts), the tutorial voiceover was also played. However I didn't lose any items. I could requip everything fine.
