What I consider mandatory is something that has absolutely no drawbacks to using and always benefit from it.

I.e, you always benefit from vitality, because you will always be taking health damage via procs, but you won't always benefit from streamline because with the new focus+rage you can achieve such high levels of energy regeneration that you can freely cast anyway.

Just chiming in with my thoughts on it.

Imo Manditory is when you gimp youself by not running it

So to me flow is manditory on caster frames

But on brawlers or other low energypool frames it is not

Uh, I only use Vitality on frames with high health compared to shields. High shields work better for my playstyle than high health does. I don't know if this is unusual, though.

Myself included i see far more people rock hp than shields for a few reasons

    Its affected my armor

    dots go right through shields

and you can restore hp easily with lifestrike

i start to think that behind that grind to max the gear to incredible damage output, is because the user get frustrated when he tries to kill some enemies and someone else with "better" gear come around and wipe all the room in no-time

...but that may only be me ;)

not how it is for me personally, i just cant stand in anygame, even single player ones, when I could improve me gear, and i dont

As a Nyx main, I would like to hear these better abilities for I am severely hurt in the backside region by your opinion.

im by no means a nyx main, but i do enjoy her alot, and from what i gather most people only use her for chaos, and loki has an augment that basically has chaos on his disarm

Huh... I think I am going to try to revive this idea. This would be a huge improvement to the Affinity system that would seemingly be pretty easy to implement as DE already made the code once.

The hate on that thread is hilarious "DE, you don't understand your own game (what?), if I don't want to use a weapon I shouldn't have to (facepalm)." The Warframe community is great, the best gaming community I have ever been part of, but good lord we got some special ones.

the hate is unwarranted, but i agree, u shouldnt have to use a weapon to level it, but using it should be faster than not using it

As you read the thread you can see that a lot of people were very very upset about this idea because it means you actually have to use a weapon to level it effectively and nobody wants to use anything except their god-tier stuff.

I wouldn't call the stuff i use god tier by any means, but i can understand, there are alot of guns i legitimately dont enjoy using, not because of power, just because they are un-fun, but i still want to level them

So, Warframe has a bunch of weapons, each with different stats leading the a huge gap between actually good weapons and just plain horrible.

But there is a change coming to PC which aims to "fix" damage and possibly balance all the weapons.

The question is, should every weapon after this update be along the same lines as each other, like Gorgon being as good as the Soma in high levels, or is it okay to keep some sort of tier between each weapon?

Yes and no, i feel all weapons should be viable, but I also feel weapons should have roles to be viable in, but when DE decides what a weapons role is, they need to make it excel at said role. for example ill use the 2 guns you compared

The soma's role should be damage and thus will do more damage than the gorgon family

Now im not saying this is the role the gorgon should have but lets say we give it the CC role

So we boost the status of the gun by alot, but blast on it, and give the guns bullets an innate stagger affect that lasts a few seconds.

With this the gorgon user will be helping the team but it will be with locking a group of enemies down rather than competing for top dps with the soma or whatever other high damage gun someone is using

If you fail .. you get 24 hr cooldown ? its not about grinding or getting better weapons... its just useless to do missions meantime as they dont give u any xp

xp you get while i rankup mode carries over once you pass

I don't know when I said or implied it was easier to get?

OK so this confused me aswell, because you didn't, it was an error on my part that was me assuming something, and not double checking the name of the person i quoted

I responded to someone who wasn't you, and then you responded to my response, I assumed you were the person i responded to and i didn't look at the the name when i quoted, I am sorry

And If I play these 10 waves there is usually 1 Nitain alert. Yes you can get more Argon in time then Nitain, but you can´t "farm" it, do Nitain alerts if they are up and you have it when you need it but every time a new weapon/frame needs Argon I have to go to the void, which I personally don´t like.

It´s all about personal preferences and people should stop to cry over so little things.

while you are right there, imo there is less of a chance of a nitain alert to spawn in the 10 minutes it takes to play those missions

though this is coming from someone who practically lives in the void

1): Using the Simulacrum to simulate entire tileset's for RP/adventuring purposes? I wanna explore without doing anything. We need some Roleplay/Video-Capture(Not sure if I'm using the right word?) tools in the Simulacrum to make "Machinimas" per-say, I think thats the right word. v.v It'd be good to expand on it further, and not just for damage testing purposes.

2): Putting a monitor in my Liset with a dang chair(Possibly Relays, to) so I can watch the Devstreams/Prime-Time's ingame?

Im not oppossed to the 1st option so i guess thatd be nice for people who want it

But i very much agree with your second point

Your luck is pretty standard. Some people I've talked to have horrendous luck with Argon but it's pretty rare. Usually most people will net at least one (if not more) from 10 minutes of survival or 10 waves of defense even without any loot manipulation.

then how is a resource you can get 4 of max per day easier to get than one where you can get one in 10 waves or lsee of a T1D/ 10 minutes or less in T1s?

Nitain is way easier to get AND keep then Argon. If any recourse slows down progress then it is Argon and not Nitain.

Do I like the implementation and how DE is handling Nitain lorewise, No.

    Is it bad, No.

I agree on the keep part, but do i have stupidly good luck with argon or something? i go into a defence and usually get an argon in 5 waves if not then definitely 1 or more in 10 waves

Please tell me I am not the only one who finds nitain a poor stop gap that is simply there to slow progress.

I understand the alerts and I understand that it is not horrid to obtain, but it feels like it was tacked on because DE felt we where progressing too fast and those of us vets who have a ton of resources are being purposely gated behind this resource for nothing more than "hey slow down, or give us your money!".

It just feels like a cheap tactic to me, and I wanna know how you guys feel about it, cause it has been bugging me since all the new frames have had it tacked on it, and I expect mummy-frame to be another 6-12 nitain.

Well i mean, you are correct on slowing vets down, but it doesn't bother me for a few reasons

1.As you pointed out, its not horrid to obtain

2.Few things use it as of now

3.Even if you only manage to do one of the alerts per day, it will get to a point where its like argon that doesn't decay, what i mean by that is when argon was first introduced it was like nitain, only a few things used it and everyone hated it, but eventually DE put it into alot of other recipes, but at that point no-one seemed to care
