Turning V-Sync on should fix the high gpu stress when in the ship, as seen here ↓

    https://forums.warframe.com/topic/827757-constant-gpu-load-at-100-percent-when-in-warframes-lobby-ship/

I'm gaming with a controller, if I turn on V-Sync it will be really difficult to play the game as it gives a massive input lag and the game would be unplayable for me, and I've never had this problem before the Harrow/Earth update. I have had my Vertical Sync on the Nvidia Control Panel on "Fast" to prevent screen tearing and input lag.

  2. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one that is having this problem but, very recently, since the Harrow and Earth Remastered update, I've been getting really low fps. Before I would always get 70-90+ fps on any map, and when the game is under really heavy load, it goes down to 40-50 minimum. But now, I get 40fps whenever I'm with a squad, whether I'm hosting or not, and whether it's on high settings or low settings, it's the same. I only get up to 60-80fps when I'm playing the game in solo mode. The lowest I've gotten so far was 20+fps. This raised my curiosity as to what was happening with my gaming laptop, I checked everything, my drivers, my bios, and also altered some stuff in the intel extreme tuning utility. But still there was no difference in the game. Whether I'm on max settings with everything turned on, or low settings with every thing turned off, I'm still getting the same low fps rates whenever I play with a squad. Also when I'm in my ship, it seems like my graphics card is being utilized up to 100% because my temps whenever I'm playing never really got up to 80 degrees, but I've seen my temps go up to 87 degrees while in the ship. I've stress teted my graphics card, looked at everything, but still I don't think it's my graphics card's fault. I've seen other people with this problem here in the forums and I hope it can be fixed.

Here are the frame rates: (These are all taken with low settings, it's exactly the same with high settings on)

    When playing SOLO:

    When playing with a squad:

    Anyone else experiencing this?

    My setup:

    Alienware 15 R3

    i5-6300HQ @ 2.30 GHZ (2.70 GHz)

    8.00 GB RAM

    NVIDIA GTX 1060 6.00 GB

  3. It is now August 13 as I'm posting this response and I'm still getting this issue.

    My setup:

    Alienware 15 R3

    i5-6300HQ @2.7 GHz

    8GB RAM

    GTX 1060 6GB

When I'm playing solo with everything on the highest settings, I get 70-90fps, but when I play with 3 other players it goes down to 30-40fps. It has gotten worse even after the recent patches and hotfixes. earlier I played with a squad, Volt Prime (Me), Frost Prime, Nidus, and Limbo. The game was really crazy that my fps went down below 20fps. It makes me wonder if did I really need a GTX 1060 or high speed NASA type of internet. It's so frustrating how the Earth Remastered and Harrow Update made the game's fps worse, and now they're saying that Plains of Eidolo, A HUGE GRAPHICAL CHALLENGE  because of its open world feature, is supposedly going to run fine on low end old gaming setups...

BRUH.. I have a GTX 1060 and it can't even run 60fps consistently.

Have you tried updating your drivers(make sure its WHQL and not a beta driver) ? Also try to Verify / optimize via the game launcher see if that works. Connection should not be hindering your fps worse thing you should experience is slow opening doors or enemies/loot lagging.

Yes, everything is up to date. drivers, bios etc. I also recently optimized the game via launcher. I've done all of that. it's still the same.

I got my Alienware 15 R3 laptop on January of this year and when i first booted the game up back then there were no problems at all. Whenever the game's getting crazy especially on fissure runs in the void or too many enemies at Akkad, the lowest fps I would get was 40fps. Now, this happens every so often that there are thing going on in the screen even though it's not so crazy. Maybe Earth Remastered update really messed the game's optimization up real bad.

How did u get to that conclusion tho ? I also have a 1060 6gb and everything works well even when playing with those +1K ping hosts. Only frame drops i have experienced are when doing endless orokin derelict survival or using AdaptiveSharpen via reshade.

edit:mind posting full pc specs ?

    Alienware 15 R3

    Windows 10 Home 64-bit

    Intel i5-6300HQ @ 2.30GHz

    8GB RAM

    NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB

    1920 x 1080 (32 bit) (60Hz)

I run the game in high settings with everything set to highest option and everything on except for Color Correction and Constant Weapon Trail.

Here are some pictures of the fps and ping with indications.

    Solo playing:

    b0eqRap.jpg

Playing with a squad, not being the host:

    7O5mKCX.jpg

    Hosting a squad:

    5xyLC8s.jpg

As you can see, the frames per second decreases as the ping increased and of course when I'm hosting and my internet connection can't handle it, it gets even worse. I have no trouble playing solo, I get from 80-100+ frames per second, but once I play with a squad, the frames per second drops massively. I didn't conclude with this just because I thought of it, I concluded because that's what I've observed and that's what I've seen every time I play. It's just an observation. Before Earth Remastered and Chains of Harrow, that's when this whole thing started and it has gotten even worse when the patch/hotfix was release when they released Jat Kusar. I don't know what is going on, I know that DE has been working on improving the graphics lately, but I am pretty sure my GTX 1060 can handle Warframe's graphics. I even checked my hardware last night and did some stress testing on it, and it seems that my GTX 1060 has no problems with it as it passed every single stress test. So the issue here, I bet, it with the game's optimization. I must have been badly optimized when the Earth Remastered was released. I just hope that in the coming weeks/months this can improve because howdo they expect us to play when Plains of Eidolon, a huge open world environment, is released if they can't even get the game playing right with the small maps. They even said that they're doing their best to make Warframe work even on the older computers, but here I am having a new system with a GTX 1060 and still having problems with the frames.

The best internet in the world is in South Korea, Japan, Asian countries to tell you the truth. There internet providers actually compete and don't willingly throttle your connection like they do here in the US. Also, DE is still optimizing stuff, most everyone got noticeable drops after the Earth re-master

So basically what you're telling me is that I should just be patient because DE is still optimizing the game and that weeks or months from now it will improve? Because if so, then I can wait. And I hope that they are still in working progress with the optimization of the game's graphics and what not.

  7. The higher the ping, the lower the fps.

Ever since the rework of Earth and Chains of Harrow was out, I've been getting low frames per second whenever I host or the host's ping is high (above 100 ping).

I don't know about you, but I'm sure that my Nvidia GTX 1060 (6GB) can handle high settings on this game before with no problem with the framerates, but now it's been dropping to 30-40 frames per second and it is just ridiculous. If our internet speed determined how much frames per second we're going to get, then I shouldn't have invested in a better graphics card. I should've just invested in the fastest internet in the world. Some NASA type of internet. This issue has been bugging me a lot lately.

Seems like DE has made a really bad optimization of their game graphics for this to happen. I just hope they fix this. Heck, this even happens when I put my graphics settings on low settings with everything off. I still couldn't get above 60 fps on Earth and other places when the ping is terrible. The only time i'd be able to get 60-90fps is when I'm playing alone. Playing solo.

DE, please fix this. Please optimize your game or graphics or whatever properly. I can really tell that it's optimized badly because it happens even on low settings.

    Is anyone else experiencing this?

  8. XBOX ONE CONTROLLER VERTICAL SENSITIVITY ISSUE

The issue that I am addressing here is about the sensitivity or acceleration of gamepad joysticks when trying to aim up/down or move the joystick up/down. The sensitivity of the joystick when doing up/down movements are not as fast as moving the joystick left/right. When doing circular motions with the joystick, instead of seeing a circular pattern in-game, you will see a rectangular pattern. With this sort of problem, it makes it even more difficult to aim, especially in such a fast paced game like Warframe. This is extremely difficult when playing Conclave as every player just bullet jumps to get a hit on you and this unables me to aim properly as the other players are constantly going up and down on my screen. Now, I know you PC folks will be like "It's a PC, play with a  keyboard and mouse," but you see, I came from playing consoles since my teenage years, and I've recently just bought this new AW laptop and I've been accustomed to using a controller for so long that it's going to take me years to get the keyboard and mouse down. So please have a little consideration for those who use a gamepad on PC. Now, for DE, I hope you guys can fix this, I tried playing Warframe on my PS4 and the joystick controls aren't like this. Here's a video for a little observation and proof.

Note: This also occurs when using a PlayStation 4 Dualshock 4 controller.

    • A Mastery Rank 24 test has been added for eligible Tenno!

    Changes:

    • The Silva & Aegis Prime mace now spins while equipped and will increase/decrease when swinging/idle! I’m sure there is a Fidget Spinner joke in there somewhere...
    • Oberon’s Immortal skin has received the PBR treatment! This fixes issues with the Immortal Skin texture introduced this week as well as Oberon Prime’s shoulders appearing very plain without his Prime Armor attachments.

    Fixes:

    • Fixed a crash related to Dx9 systems.
    • Fixed the Infested Brood Mother’s not being able to melee attack.
    • Fixed experiencing crazy high-speed Rovers/Cores when playing a Hijack mission in Solo mode.
    • Fixed the Dojo Duel room door giving a Build prompt when attempting to exit the room.
    • Fixed the Youkai Helmet material to match body textures.
    • Fixed the Sukira Prime Syandana being too floaty.
    • Fixed viewing the Star Chart with custom shoulder Armor attached on Oberon Prime resulting in the shoulder Armor appearing rotated 90 degrees.

So when is the Burston Soltice Skin Clipping issue on Burston Prime gonna be fixed?

I THINK [DE] is working on a shield-gate mechanic.

I know, and it needs to come sooner as you can see... this is just absurd. Volt Prime's shields are high but it doesnt matter, it's not even working as how it should be.

  11. I've been trying to reroll this riven that I have, and so far no luck. In the video I have 41 rerolls already and as of right now I have it on 69 rerolls with the same stats. Anyone here has better stats?I'd love to see it, but anyways here's a video of my build:

Okay, I don't know what you were trying to say, but I agree that you should be strippingarmour. Either way armour is about the only thing that allows Volt to sometimes CC certain enemies.

I'm not sure what your point is really. If it's not realiable then it's not useful. It doesn't have to be great CC, it can be very short, but it obviously needs to always work, not just some of the time.

Flat damage "nuke" abilities are just not useful. I don't think there's any need to argue this point, I consider it conventional Warframe wisdom.

I've been playing Volt a lot more since kuva. I run with teams that have other things covered, and Volt can speed things up, I get people from A to B faster. I take him to floods too, but I can only do this because I have a good squad, at those levels you either need extreme tankiness or some good CC, he has neither.

His damage buffing is extremely circumstantial to say the least. Double crit damage for someone shooting through his shield. This is pretty worthless when compared to banshee, nova, rhino, octavia...

I really enjoy playing Volt, but let's be realistic here, he's a terrible frame. There's nothing he does well. He's good at camping an enclosed space, but if he has to step out for just 1 second RIP Volt.

As a Volt Prime main, I'm not even gonna defend myself, but you're right, he's a terrible warframe only because DE has neglected him for so long. Even with the so called "rework" that he had before, it's still not as great of a rework or a buff like Oberon's recent rework or Limbo's. DE needs to stop messing around.

  13. 1 hour ago, Mudfam said:

Also, by its very description Volt's ult is indeed a CC ability "Paralyse nearby hostiles with a damaging electric charge". The only CC ability in the game that doesn't actually work.

VERY TRUE. It would be an effective CC ability like what it said in its description if it actually took full effect for the whole duration that you have it modded for. I have it modded for 183% and it has 21 seconds, it Discharge was actually to last for 21 seconds that would be such a huge help. butc'mon 2 seconds? Broken af right?

  14. 1 hour ago, MudShadow said:

Well what you state is not really facts.I mean for starters you call discharge a CC ability when it's not even CC. It is clearly just a nuke which stuns enemies whilst it deals its damage. And If the enemies are not stunned for a long time then that's just because Discharge has dealt all of its damage in a shorter span of time.  And that's not a bad thing because the player can simply just cast it again. It takes 25 energy with maxed efficiency and Volt has a 800 energy pool. Effectively the less time that Discharge is up the more damage overall it can out-put with subsequent recasts.

    lmao this gave me cancer

  15. 2 hours ago, Mudfam said:

Not sure if you understood this, but the armour here is actually making the CC last much longer.

Volt's discharge deals 450 damage per second, when the total damage reaches a cap of 4000 the enemy breaks free. This should give you almost 9 seconds of CC, but every enemy in range of another will also do damage, reaching the cap much faster. Just 9 enemies and you have < 1 sec CC.

Armour provides damage reduction, so it takes longer for the ability to reach the 4k cap. This is the only reason why the level 115 butchers were CCd for a whole 3 seconds, rather than breaking free almost instantly.

Yup. Believe it or not, this ability is actually THAT broken.

I guess a lot of people just assume the ability does what it claims to do without noticing that it actually does nothing, beyond some pretty animation effects. Perhaps because most of the game is so easy that it doesn't even matter that you just made yourself a sitting target and pooped out 100 energy for no reason at all.

I strongly suspect that DE doesn't realise what adding the damage cap did to the abilty's mechanics. I think it was added as an afterthought and accidentally broke the original intended design, which is quite nice and clever.

can we get some attention to what this guy is saying^^^^

  16. 5 hours ago, (PS4)theelix said:

30 seconds in and I'm already confused.

You have 40% power strength, do you not know how Discharge works? It's based on how much damage you do; it's not that duration mods aren't useful, it's that you're building it for CC incorrectly.

that's the thing, how Volt's Discharge works is absurd. you can't build Volt for CC either way even if you build it "right." If there's a health cap with his ability it takes away the purpose of duration mods and you'll never really go through with the whole duration given once you've reached that health/damage cap. it's stupid.

  17. 52 minutes ago, MudShadow said:

-60% power strength gives Discharge a 1500 damage cap (almost the same as when the ability is level 1). As opposed to around 10,000+ (with max power strength). And the enemies he ran tests against have practically zero defences. So they took full damage and just burned through that 1500 damage cap easily. With a balanced build he could've CC'd them for probably five seconds and would have time to cast it again, which would stun lock them.

As for in-game. The circumstances are usually better because Discharge (when built correctly) actually clears rooms. Because the enemies typically are not level 115 and will die to discharge. But also a full group is there dealing damage as well.

Doesn't matter, duration should not be affected. Volt's discharge system is stupid.

  18. 4 hours ago, Mudfam said:

There is no way to build this ability for CC. It's just plain broken.

The damage cap is what determines when enemies break free. Duration does nothing.

The damage and the damage cap both scale with power strength. Power strength does nothing.

Enemies shock eachother, which is presented as a good thing, but it's just bad. The damage is capped and fixed anyway, the CC duration decreases.:facepalm::facepalm:

Due to the broken armour scaling in this game, high level armoured enemies who haven't had their armour stripped (this basically only happens in bad PUGs) can actually be CCd briefly... Yay?

In its current state this ability is worthless garbage. The damage cap completely breaks all its mechanics.

    Listen to this man.^
