  1. That's a terrible excuse. Melee combat is by no means "limited" especially considering it allows you to regen health with life strike or tear apart enemies with well modded god tier weapons like the dual ichors or dragon nikana. Valkyr is not "limited" in hysteria at all, and when you have four valkyr's you really don't have to bother with anything. Hell, considering all the good drops in survival are limited to timed rewards, a team of four valkyrs don't even have to kill anything. They're completely and permanently invincible if built right, meaning they can walk peacefully around the map while enemy fire does absolutely nothing to them.

And no, any invincibility ability that lasts longer than twenty seconds is horrendously overpowered. Especially as Valkyr is completely capable of spamming it non stop so she's rendered permanently invincible.

The best melee weapons do around 10% of the DPS of the best ranged weapons, and lack...range. Lacking range is a limitation.

Also, just you try that in survival, let us know how it goes. Heck, why do you need four Valkyrs to not kill anything? Why not take just one Valkyr and not kill anything? Show us your record-setting 0 kill survival match.

  2. Regarding renewal: this is the place where I think Oberon should really be distinguished as being a Paladin rather than a Cleric. A Paladin doesn't just semi-passively heal teammates; he protects them. Renewal needs to be reworked so that at least one thing it does is to preempt damage (or crowd control, or death) rather than treat it after the fact. Paladins carry shields, not elixirs.

  3. Hearing the exact same lines from Ordis every single time I log in or complete a mission gets old quickly. He talks about my Kubrow egg after every mission. Yes, Ordis. I've heard your opinion. Dozens of times already.

  4. I can't use the mod interface. My Warframe obscures several mods and the entirety of the dropdown "sort by" menu. Moreso when wearing shoulder attachments.

Also, feedback: having to pan the camera to look around the Tenno to see a menu is not as immersive as getting to feel I'm looking as the Tenno.

  5. Before U14, you could exit the chat interface by pressing Enter without entering any text (just like in every other game I've played). Now, you can't do this. Instead, you have to left-click somewhere outside of the chat box---and even this doesn't work if you're looking at the starchart.

  6. What's that, team? The enemies were too easy to target? Okay, try hitting them while my cyclones toss them around!

I absolutely love playing as Zephyr, and I do leave Tornado on her for those rare occasions when my team absolutely needs some enemies to go away. But when I see someone else playing Zephyr, I usually think "ugh, what a nuisance." Because Tornado.

Hydroid's ultimate does more damage and so is less of an issue against low level enemies, but if you don't have an AoE weapon it still sucks to try to target anything being tossed around by his tentacles. And nothing is worse than a tentacle grabbing that Toxic Ancient you were avoiding and slamming it into you.

I think a partial solution in both cases would be to significantly lower the base duration of their ultimates. I want lots of +duration on Zephyr for her mobility, and could want the same on Hydroid. But then if I ever dare use my ultimate, I have to wait six months before it stops tossing enemies around.

I like this outline. I like it because it doesn't remove any current methods of diversifying builds, but allows mutually exclusive tradeoffs and sidegrades so we can diversify even more.

There's at least one detail that I don't like: oh god oh god so many rank 10 mods to fuse. I would be 100% for any revision of your outline where we didn't suddenly end up with lots of extra rank 10 mods that we might (read: I would) like to have all at once. My first idea would be to have "mods for our mods," but that sounds like a UI and NPE disaster waiting to happen.

Here's one thought. What if every serration was born with the potential to be any kind of serration, but the player starts out only able to use one kind (the base kind). As far as UI goes, the different flavors of serration would correspond to buttons/boxes along the left or top of the mod card. These options would be greyed out for new players. Later, through quests (or research in their ship or whatever process makes sense) the player would unlock the different flavors (and since the player unlocks them, they can use these features on every serration card they own).

I think something like the above could work out well. Because only one kind of each mod actually drops, there are no drop table or RNG issues. Because you only need to max out one copy of any mod, there are no how-will-I-ever-fuse-all-these issues. And because the options are turned off at the start, new players don't have to be hit all at once with too many things to do.

Good thread. Let me know what you think.

  8. 1) False. The update slated to include 'pets' aka Kubrow for the Tenno is Update 14 which has no set release date at this time.

    2) This is also false. The only thing that we've confirmed is the Account Migration from PC to PS4 to occur when U14 is live on both platforoms.

Hope this helps and counts as proof ;)!

Ninja'd by a helpful bunch of Tenno, best type of Ninja'ing ever :').

And here I was getting hopeful.
