I don't feel it is our father, at least not biologically. Could be that the Man in the Wall literally sees himself as 'our father'. Since he was responsible for our powers. I mean, in Chains of Harrow, he attacks us because, if his blood-messages are to be belived, because "we cast him out". As if he's punishing us for bullying Rell.

Another thing I have been thinking about is Rell. His mind was split due to the transference loop. The man in the wall may be his dark side that split from his dominant personality. Maybe we all have our own dark side that is our own "man in the wall.".  Perhaps the War Within is just beginning for the Tenno.

You will notice that our decisions are Light, dark and middle. The more light choices we make, the more our dark side disapproves.

"Are you mad at me kiddo? Did you forget? You owe me"

Perhaps it was this dark side that helped us get through the horror of the Zariman. Maybe we were the ones who killed our own father when he turned insane and came for us like an animal. We blocked it out, we forgot what we did, but our dark side remembers, and we owe them. The Queens forced us to remember and Rell drove it home for us. Our dark side is no longer fully suppressed, The Lotus is no longer there to help us. We call ourselves "kiddo" because our dad did and our guilt lives through this phantom.

  2. I think is is the voice of your father.

During the War Within, the queen forces you to recall events on the Zariman 10-0. One of those things was a conversation the Tenno has with tier father. "There is something out there Kiddo".

Later when Teshin tells you what the Kuva is and you decide what to do with it. you get that creepy "kiddo voice" come over you.

Destroy = "You mad at me kiddo? Did you forget? You owe me."

Control = "Don't forget kiddo... You're nothing without me."

Consume = "Hey, kiddo, what took you so long?"

  3. Overall Saryn is more fun to play and far more interactive. She is my main Warframe. It is fantastic to watch spores spread all over the map. I use an Igris or an Amprex depending on my mood and stare at all the tiny numbers poping everywhere. Saryn is a support frame that increases the kill rate of your entire squad. Also I never use Toxic Lash and occasionally use Miasma and still do competitive damage.

In places like Draco I will dot a few up with spores and use an AOE weapon to spread the love or set a trap with an infected Molt in a high traffic area.

My only complaint with Saryn right now is Molt itself. Zero survivability in anything north of lvl 50. Doesn't live long enough to regen any health if you use the mod, and in a firefight it doesn't live long enough to even set a trap or be an effective decoy. I don't know, it just seems to me that her one and only escape mechanism should have more meat on its bones. Also being able to cast it at the reticle versus on top of yourself would be nice for some control.

I am not talking about an indestructible, self serve, virus vendor. How about make it last for 15 seconds with no health bar. unaffected by duration mods. more than enough time to grab some health, set a trap or flank the turret gun bearing down on you.

Also, scrap Toxic Lash. You either have to be backed into a corner or high to mele with Saryn.

  4. It would make more sense if it worked like Syndicate sigils or Arcanes

Make the amounts you need to gain higher for balance. but make it so that it still allows the player to be flexible in the loadout choices

  5. Double duration on Molt... how does this help?

I will reserve my *@##$ until I understand how this addresses... anything?

It is very clear that you want Toxic Lash to be the go-to ability.

All the mele-centric frames I have played thus far have either a gap closer, a CC, stealth or some form of immunity to keep them from getting nuked while getting in range.

Maybe I am just another Chimp. But I don't understand how you use this frame for anything end game.

  6. @Rankii

You are right almost everything does. :)

The problem is that in order to shine, Saryn needs this.

When you start getting into must have group comps and must have Prime mods, it is a red flag, or should be.

Those things should make a warframe shine even brighter, not be required to even be viable.

  7. If you sum up all of what is being said:

Saryn is not a good frame for high level soloing.

After a certain point only your weapons are doing any considerable damage due to armor scaling issues. Survivability is reduced because Molt cant take many hits, Saryn now has less health and the Armor bonus does not seem to compensate for that. Do we even have to mention her set up cost more energy than Times Square on New Years eve?

You put her is a group with adequate support. 4xCP, EV Trin.. etc. she shines.

I have not tried her with a Red Veil Syndicate mod or weapon yet. But that would be a logical test since the Blight proc lends itself to her Kit.

I have posted before about things I would like to see changed but the more I play her the more things I think about.

Have Toxic Lash add toxin to weapon damage and pop spore. Any weapon damage not just mele.

Molt cast at the reticle not the Warframe. (like Decoy) and let it scale with the Warframes health and /or armor mods

  8. Saryin is powerful and I love the synergy.

    The overwhelming problem is energy.

You should not need to run with a Trinity

You should not be required to have prime mods to be viable.

You should not have to rely on Energy restores.

    What about this.

Right now on frames like Atlas. You get a diminished ability cost when you spam your first ability combo. What about extending that to other combos.

On Saryin you can empower Miasma in two ways that I have observed to be effective:

Cast Molt, put spores on molt, pop miasma. (favors ranged play)

Cast toxic lash, put spores on enemy, strike them and cast Miasma (favors mele play)

But giving these combos the ability to have a diminished cost if cast within a small window would IMO fix the energy problem without a need to mod in such a way as to grind your duration into the dust.

I am not an expert by any means. I have tried to mod Saryn many different ways but I always come back to this. The energy cost of the set up is too much. I have never used miasma as a 4 to win nuke. It has always been my get out of jail card when I get in a bad spot.

I don't know, just what I am seeing.

  9. I think DE is doing a pretty good job and keeping Power Creep under control. The most powerful weapons require you to have a high MR to obtain. The most powerful mods require you to do some challenging content as well.

By the time you get all that super end game gear, you have most likely completed the inner and middle planets and have much of the outer planets opened up to one degree or another.

If on the other hand, you buff up beginner gear and, nerf low end content in order to hustle new players up to current end game, like another famous game that I will not mention. Now you have power creep. I don't think they realize how much it cheapens their product when a new character can blast through content without giving it any thought or planning.

Every player from newbie to veteran, should get to experience the white knuckle race to extraction, low on ammo and health. It is what keeps me interested in this game.

Prime mods I agree are a bit of a problem. On the surface you need Ducats to get them which means you have sold some prime stuff which means you are at the appropriate level for them. However being able to just buy them with plat will erode my previous statement. The fix would be to attach an MR to using them.

As a side note. Whenever a friend of mine starts playing for the first time, I level up a new Warframe and weapon along with them, only using mods that they themselves have access to. Gives me an excuse to get some mastery and allows me to show them the ropes without carrying them.
