  1. warframe will not degrade themselves to garbage.

besides ps4 is more free to play friendly.

Ask Unity about their Xbox One indie program and then repost.  Xbox is making huge leaps forward in their indie policies.

Also, I would love it on Xbox one.  Not as much for me as my friends who dont PC game and dont have PS4
  2. Even if the brakk were nerfed to have a lower ammo reserve, even packing an extinguished key I simply could not run out of ammo in a derelict.

Even with every pellet doing like 1 damage and critting for 3, enough pistol ammo dropped that I was leaving pickups behind in every single room, as normal with every gun save sniper rifles, only because of how rarely sniper ammo actually drops

Yeah some mission type spawn so many enemies that ammo is never a concern.  Part of the current design.  But that could be tweaked.  Now that team ammo replenish items exist, ammo drops could be considerable lessened.  This would get people to use the items and build team loadouts for ammo replenishment.

  3. Ogris just needs to use sniper ammo, which is rarer.

This is a good short term fix I think, but I feel rockets should have even less reserve than a sniper.  You should have to calculate your usage when you wield an AoE destruction tool.

  4. would be nice but i be surprised DE will do this due to all kind of crap

All kinds of crap?  I would be surprised if its much more than strings in a database and then an adjustment of ammo pickup values per gun.  They just completely overhauled their damage system.  I doubt there is much they WOULDNT target for change if the case is made for it.

  5. well first of all

do u want ur game to lag more cause of diff ammo drop?

they done this so its can be more basic

the game take place in "space" which is also in the "future"

so ammo can be same for a X type but use for diff purpose

You misunderstnad me.  Keep ammo drops the same, but change the RESERVE of each weapon.  50 shots for LEX, 30 ogris rockets, etc.

Mass effect 2 and 3 pulled off this method in spades.

  6. I am making this thread to express my desire for DE to focus some of their energy on the way this game handles ammo reserves.  I think the ammo types are fine.  Pistols share, rifles share, etc.  This works great.  The thing that bothers me is the universal ammo reserve across a weapon platform.

I am petitioning that each weapon gets its own unique BASE AMMO RESERVE.

For obvious reasons, inventory space isn't up for debate cuz tenno space magic.  We already can carry 500+ spare OGRIS rockets.

But with the new system the LEX would have around 50 spare bullets, while the VIPER gets 450.

OGRIS gets 30 Rockets, Supra gets 600 spare ammo.  I really do not understand how this has gone on for so long.  It must be a small enough adjustment in the grand scope that it is slipping by DE for each update without any major concern.  It just bothers me that the ammo reserves in this game defy logical game design.

Damage per shot is a major factor which determines reserve ammo. It is a proven method.  I want to run out of Ogris and have to swap to my sidearm because power weapons should not get an ammo advantage.  I want the all-powerful BRAKK that shoots mega-shotgun shells to only have 50 spare rounds so I cannot steamroll the battlefield unless I pick up ammo from lockers and play more methodically.

What do you all think?  Do we need more logical ammo reserves?  I think so.  Mass effect 2 and 3 pulled off this method in spades.

And don't say mods for max ammo solve this problem because they are a ill-conceived patchwork solution.  They do not solve the OGRIS 500 rockets issue and they take up a VALUABLE mod slot.

Let people put the mods on after the base reserves are adjusted if they want, don't use them as the excuse to not update the reserves.

  7. What they REALLY need to do is give weapons their own ammo reserve, but keep the ammo types the same.  Lex has buge bullets so it gets 50 reserve where the vipers get 400.  Ogris gets 30 shots where this..yamato cannon, gets 10.

I am racking my brain as to why they have not done this yet.  500 spare ammo for a rocket launcher?  That seems lazy to me.  Change the freaking ammo reserves per weapon so we can get TUROK god killer guns like this and not have them broken.

Ammo drops would give a % of your max with 1 shot being minimum.  That way it scales with ammo reserves.  Vipers give you X ammo per pickup, where lex gives you Y.

    This should happen.

  8. It should have the highest shot dmg in the game.  Its a breech loading DB for crying out loud.  Give it 12 pellets per shell as well.  It needs the power that is offest by low clip n reload.  Right now it makes no sense and I accidnetally potatoed it :/

Keep teh reload slow even with tactical pump, but make it bring the hurt.

  9. Its not only weapons that are changing, all the mobs are too; with a wider variation of vulnerability and resists, a great many mobs have had armour removed, while having resistance to currently non existent damage types added. If the last Q&A was any indication players will need to swap between main and pistol during a round as they encounter different mobs with different resists.

This guy gets it. +1 to Hexaliber.  Any randomly generated enemy could turn out to be a miniboss because they are immune to your weapon loadout.  Uh oh :)  Fun times ahead.

  10. People need to stop this idea that a FACTION needs a certain gun to combat it.  THe units within each faction will all have different stats that we need to scan to determine weaknesses.  There will no longer be a "lighting kills all corpus" issue that we currently have.

  11. Also, in regards to his transformation, since a living person is inside, he would not be able to go all Optimus Prime on us or he would die.  I have a visual idea of how he would change his stance and his armor would move around him to make a big gun though.

Or we could go Metroid and his biology could be space magicked into different shapes.

  12. I dig. especially if there's a cool transformation sequence going into hellfire turret mode. plus it sounds like this frame would look awesome (its relevant to note that I'm a transformers fan). but the buff to clip size, reload speed, and fire rate definitely reminded me of borderlands as well :P nothing wrong with that, its a damn good game as well

I guess the whole reason i wrote this up was because I wanted a way to get my supras magazine up to or past 200 rounds.  Seeing as we have weapons held by men nowadays with that capability.  Then I ran with it and fleshed out a full 'frame.

I dunno if DE have power cancellation built into their system but it would be a cool thing to do.
