Hi EpicPerson54 thanks for the reply and sorry for taking so long to pick it up. I tried that verify integrity and over 170 files failed to verify. Running downloads now to replace.... will let you know how it goes - had learnt to live with the crashes but not without grimacing. Maybe, just maybe....

Yep. Once you've done that you can start to earn your first rank after initiate.
On completing your first rank up after becoming an initiate (as mentioned by Oranji) you then start to get the option to do syndicate missions for that syndicate. These start off low level and get harder as you rank up in the syndicate (I say harder they are not that difficult with rank 30 kit even at the top end). These appear on the Navigation menu same as alerts and invasions but under a symbol looking like 6 points joined together in a circle. Note this won;t appear until at least one syndicate has increase from innate to the first rank.
Depending on your choice you can fully rank up up to 4 of the originals concurrently - see the wiki - but be careful as earning points on some deflate points for others. Just don;t forget to add their sigil to the front or back under warframe -appearance - regalia as Oranji mentioned.

How do you connect to internet on laptop and PC? Could there be a difference in network stability?
Do other games run alright over the internet from the desktop machine?
Do you have different anti virus or firewall software/settings between the two machines?
Are you running one from steam but not the other?
Have you tried turning down graphics and audio settings - suspect you have at least for graphics and audio sounds unlikely for what you are seeing
Not had this myself and it sounds that unless you are lucky and someone else had similar symptoms and they remember doing x fixed it you are in for a period of trial and error including reinstall, validation, checking background processing etc etc....
Start with a list of the obvious differences between the machines and check them off one by one where you can for example if the laptop is wireless but desktop wired does the laptop have any issues when wired instead? Very slow and painful but unless someone has the do x mentioned earlier may be your only shot.
Post what fixes if you manage to so other people can learn from you pain. Sorry wish I could be more constructive

You are not alone, I get this every time I close warframe now and only once managed to actually submit. I've given up on adding info now

On exiting warframe via the quit game option from the escape menu it now always crashes - started around 16.2 I think.
I run from steam if that makes a difference.
Not a huge problem for me however it then always fails to connect to the reporting sever to - or so it claims so I'm not sure this is being reported via the tool.
Had a stuck in a mission today for hives for Alad V where a door dragged me to the side and I ended up stuck in a barrier railing. Good news was unstuck worked well and I could continue to end of mission but then on shut down to restart you guessed it the crash on exit bug so no report filed.
Hopefully this is going to be patched soon otherwise the number of unstuck reports will be artificially low.
Great game though. My only regret with it is not becoming a founder before it shut down which serves me right for being tight!

Wow emotive stuff.
I would love U18 yesterday but it's not here yet so I'll live with it I guess. Is it sad not to be playing the new content yes, does it mean I'll walk away from the game no. If it really, really upsets people that much it's a free(ish) world - walk away folks.
OK DE does miss a lot of
deadlinesETAs (sorry, sorry) but then who hasn't missed some. Some have even had to give political deadlines which everyone knows are missed.Loved the Tenno in another now deleted thread who said they were happy to wait for the bug free version - like no way do I want to wait that long!
My PC will be obsolete by then, oh wait it already is.
I only came here for giggles and you let me have those.
So many people know so much about how DE operates or if other contributors to the thread have hacked code in their lives.
All I know is give me a rocket launcher and I can kill myself several times in one mission but I still have no clear idea of the in's and outs of DE's development cycles (open for consultancy though guys if you want ;p - special rate for space ninjas). Strange I can't tie the two together, must be my age...
