Personally, I didn't play her long enough to understand why people are upset with her nerf. That being said, I bought her for one reason; I am happy to support Digital Extremes. In an age where a gamer cannot escape the disgusting and predatory practices used by big name publishers to milk their consumers for as much of their money as possible, to me, it seems that DE has done their homework.

Technically this is milking too, making something op to increase sales before nerfing it.

    Define "people".

    peo·ple
    ˈpēpəl/
    noun

    1. 1.
human beings in general or considered collectively.
      "the earthquake killed 30,000 people"
      synonyms: human beings, persons, individuals, humans, mortals, (living) souls, personages, men, women, and children;
      informalfolks
      "crowds of people"

    2. 2.
the men, women, and children of a particular nation, community, or ethnic group.
      "the native peoples of Canada"
synonyms: race, (ethnic) group, tribe, clan
      "the peoples of Africa"

      There ya go.

  3. I hate people who cry for nerfs, I really do.

No this isn't because I enjoy the meta, but because the people who cry for nerfs just enforce the meta even more.

"Oh S#&$ people can use Gara instead of frost?!?!!? NERF NERF!1!!1!"

"Oh S#&$ people are using valkyr to cheese S#&$ that literally every other frame cheeses? NERF!!!!!"

"Operators can revive people safely? NERF NERF!!!!"

It's frustrating, it's irritating, and it's hurting the game. You people need to stop, I doubt half of you play the S#&$ you cry nerf too! And when it does get nerfed you don't play them then either! You just sit there and play your meta-frames and smirk as no one plays the frame you hate because now it's S#&$.

All in all, game breaking things need to be hammered out 'balancing' frames you don't care for is not.

Buff terrible S#&$ to be good, not the other way around.

Sometimes it is better to call the cops.

a few years ago I worked as a Moderator for an online game.

one player made a Statement along the lines of "my family is driving me insane. brb gonna kill them"

everybody brushed it off as a joke but once a Moderator heared about it we notified the authorities (we had very strict rules that demanded we notify the authorites whenever someone talks about killing himself or others)

Turned out he killed his wife, his kid and himself

By the void, what the F***....

DE has managed to actually avoid both sides of a razor edge that a lot of game developers fall into. Sacrificing their vision for player opinions, and sacrificing player opinion for their vision.

This game has a healthy amount of player generated content and yet remains true to the dreams of those who build it.

Those complaining about the Ember skin need a history lesson about DE. They went full on for public opinion once and the result was an overall subpar game called Darksector, with a lot of potential but not much realized, because of compromise.

Warframe is their attempt to build their dream. It may not be your dream, and that is fine. It is their decision how much input they take into account and how many player suggested changes they make. They are under no obligation to tailor things to every vocal minority, especially when said minorities do nothing but rant and rave withrout any constructive feedback.

DE reserves the right to make their game how they want it to be, and it is that refusal to compromise that has made warframe the great game is today.

For those glorifying Igneus. He overstepped his bounds, and burned bridges, something he admits. DE is under no obligation to bow to someone who forgot his place in the creative process.

DE does not charge a monthly subscription, nor to they promise specific results. They offer the game as is, and you either buy the items within or don’t. They are under no obligation to provide you with exactly what you want.

    TL:DR

You don’t like it, don’t buy it. THhat is how this sort of game works, that is how it should work.

But it was the big wigs that made Dark Sector change, not the players.

If this will silence this dip***** I will gladly move on without hearing constant whining and bit***g from them. But then DE would look like a bunch of liers or simply like devs who can't even keep their own word. That's so professional to have no spine and to go backwards on something. /sarcasm

You uh...alright there buddy? Got a lot of pent-up anger it seems.

I guess DE always wanted focus to be a long term investment. Having such high requirements may be a way they found to make them achievable only after a certain time.

Even considering this, achieving cap everyday is not all that difficult if you really want to do it.

My biggest problem is that some focus powers are still bad. i cant see a reason to make a long term investment of my time to get some bad powers unlocked. It doesnt make sense.

Most people will still just unlock the same old ones and just forget about it.

years...it'll take years to unlock a school with passive play. That's terrible.

I do get the cap everyday, it's boring and restrictive and now more than ever I feel burned out and do not enjoy playing.

Depends where you live, free speech isnt a free pass for inciting hate. esp here in the UK

    Okay, let me rephrase myself.

Free speech is a basic human right SANE people believe in. Doesn't matter the border. It's not a free pass, it's a guarantee that the government can't shut you down because a bunch of crybabies get upset.

    HAHAhahahahahahaha

    Wait you're serious?

    Let me laugh harder.

What he said yes, the reasoning is analogous and equally fallacious. Him saying it doesn't make him one, that's never implied, simply that in defending a work of fiction he used a similarly structured argument as pedophiles have used in their own defense. Simple as that.

One last thing I feel is interesting to elaborate upon in a discussion of justifying the ideology presented here.
When someone talks of "The Greater Good" and reaching your more "noble higher meaning and purpose in life", it is always at the expense of other peoples lives and freedoms, a necessary sacrifice for that higher goal. People reaching for any kind of utopia try to do it by any means necessary, but that's the problem, the moment you think the ends justify the means you're simply creating a dystopia. So much of history shows that and fiction has been exploring that simple equation humans use where if you postulate an infinitely good end point, then all the immoral acts you commit to achieve them are still not infinitely bad, so you're always ahead of the game. But you can never allow dissenters to live in peace and not follow your plans, because they are standing in the way, not helping to bring about faster this perceived greater good and utopia.

But in the end, I want to repeat what the proper context here is; after all my complaints, I still enjoy the vast majority of my experience with Warframe where I can ignore in my day to day grinding and looting and shooting the lore of this game. I just came here to share my dislike of the Operators, which I'd prefer to be written and performed in a different manner.
Some here agree, others do not.
End of the day, don't get so serious about your defenses of the game guys.

You, sir, are just a hot mess.

Seriously. A really hot mess. Void, comparing what he said with pedophiles. ffs You're going into a political and societal discussion on an online forum about how you feel about coding. and you're equating what people are saying to people who F*** kids. Take a step back and look at yourself.

So how about we stop derailing the original post and just go on with the farming.

I think a lot of the confusion over Cetus standing cap comes from the traders' UI when handing over gems or fish.  It will tell you the most you can currently get which will be the lesser of:

    Your daily cap of (1+MR)x1,000.

The cap for your current tier.

In my case I can get 25,000 per day but unless I spend some during the day or rank up I can only get about 5,000 more.  The traders tell me I can only currently get 5,000 because at that moment that's all I can get.  If I back out, buy something and go back to offer them stuff the limit will have risen by the amount I just spent (unless the daily cap kicks in).

I'd like to say that's a matter of opinion but there are too many clipping issues with their outfits for me to say that.  I like the concept of their appearance but the execution is lacking.

You can, but the chair has funny lighting making every colour you choose incorrect.  Try select the colour you want and then going fo ra walk around your ship and you'll see the difference.

Holy S#&$ thank you for that. I didn't even know.

(Also our operators must be related because they look a ot alike :D )

That's my take. Plus not enough hairstyles.

    1. But you don't need all the passives in order to boost the operator because they don't carry over to other schools unless they are waybound and you activated them. So for this, you only need points for your focus school of choice + the waybound nodes which significantly reduces your farm time requirement.

    2. It might be something on your end, but for me it is 22k per day. [MR21 + 1k]

    3. That's RNG unfortunately, them reseting has nothing to do with your chance on getting them.

    1. Yeah, but that was for the general public who cares for all the warframe passives. I do only care about operator passives. But again, I have to cheese it if I want to actually use my operators for fun.

    2. It might be. I hope so.

    3. That's both frustrating and good to hear.

    1. Why do you need to max absolutely everything in the Focus tree? That's for completionists, if you are not one, don't expect to do it in a month or two.

    2. Cetus and Quill standing cap is affected by MR, as usual is MR +1k.

    3. You can farm rewards from the bounties to no end, you just won't get standing for doing so after the first time.

    1. I'm not wanting it in a month or two. But I want it to be reasonable. THe month or two was when you cheesed the cap each and everyday.

I also already said why. For those operator buffs.

    2. I'm MR 18. This is UNACCEPTABLE

    3. I tried that. I keep getting the same rewards (even when I run the same bounty 26 times in a row. Nothing but endo, lilth relics, and credit caches.)

  14. There will be spoilers for TSD, TWW, and some other quests.

Let me just start this off by saying, that I love warframe. I've been with it for around 4 years. I have 1,725 hours clocked into it and have spent 645+ American dollars on it. But as of right now, there are some serious problem that I feel I have to voice my opinion on as it seems no one else will/has yet.

    Focus 2.0

I don't care for the warframe buffs, I'll be frank with you all. I mean, they are nice. But what I cared about, and was the most excited for was the Operator buffs you could use, and the ability to unbind them to use the passives all the time.

But by the Void, I don't mind grind, warframe wouldn't be warframe without grind. But This isn't grind. It's a wall. A wall that looks too tall to scale without pure dedication. Someone did the math, it would take 120 days to max out everything if you cheesed a farming spot up to the cap every day.

How is this possible for those who don't want to cheese? Those who can't? How am I, someone with limited time, supposed to play the game and grind focus? I

I want to play as the operator. I love the kiddos and their combat. I love the design and Idea. But how can you honestly expect me to play them, and enjoy it, if I have to spend around 2 months grinding the same damn thing to no end just to make them viable up to level thirty content? It's a disgusting time sink, a poor move tbh. You need to either up the rates for focus gain or hit the price on the Focus nodes with the nerfhammer.  I had around two million in Zenurik I thought I would be covered to max at least one or two operator passives. But no. I couldn't even get them to the halfway point. This looks daunting for vets, imagine a new player looking at this. It'd turn them off faster than flipping a light switch. Either lower the price, or up the rates. Or make the convergence orb just the normal rate for taking in focus. Keep the convergence orb, but up it, and make the previous rate how lens work in the first place.

I mean, I know everyone will point to the upped focus cap, But I'll point to the upped prices. 1 million focus on unbound operator passives!? What is this, a Korean mmo?

    Operators

As I said above. I love the operators. I love the amps and how they have two fire modes. I love the cosmetics(iffy) I love the idea as well.

    Why don't you?

As of the moment. Operators are trash. They suck at doing damage, they suck at taking damage, they suck at moving, they kinda suck at looking good.

Honestly, operators need a straight up buff. I was promised powerful space kids. Frail perhaps, but powerful, unlike anything I had ever seen. All I got was meh. Why is Void damage sucky against armor? Why does eldritch space energy have trouble against metal plating of all things? It's stupid.

And the fashion, ugh. Why can't I have white hair? Instead of white hair, I get bleached blonde. Instead of light blue highlights, I get green? Speaking of hair, we need more none overly futuristic haircuts. Seriously. Please. We need more suits without dangling cloth. We need somatics for their faces. And more skin colors. Why can't I make my operator albino? I would love that.

Also, we need new animations. The warrior mode Operator looks.....really @(*()$ odd tbh.

    POE stuff.

F*** Bolkors. Seriously. These things almost instagib me, my pet, my friends, and the objective. Why can they track me with pinpoint accuracy? Why do they do so much damn damage so quickly?! It makes it difficult to enjoy the game as any frame other than a select few. Those bombers suck as well, but at least they have less health and armor.

Honestly. I only see a few planets as needing new mining and fishing resources. I believe the current gems and alloys we find in Poe is because of the long dead sentient there. Why else do we not find them anywhere else on earth besides from where a dead sentient is? Honestly only the fish would need to be different, thus the Poe economy would be connected to the other open world segments.

Also, why is Cetus standing cap at 16,000? This doesn't feel scaled up to my MR and it feels bad man. And a final thing. Not being able to farm Gara until after the bounty reset is trash and you know it.

All in all. I love warframe. I love Poe and the direction it's going for the most part. But something has to change, these things are holding the game back. What are you're thoughts?
