I was just wonder what everyone's favorite tile sets, whether it'd be aesthetically or for functionality. Personal I've become quite engaged in Uranus' tile sets ( heh )
Theres just something about it that feels so immersive

Nope, no bloatware or anything like that . I think its just there servers not handling the amount of people downloading

well the download was through steam so it wasn't bad, only took me a few hours just like my usual stuff.
Oh and by the way i meant to say 1-10kb/s is my average :( 1 more than 10 actually

In that context, I am sure that it may be possible. However it is easier for DE to just release it from the launcher as we do not know what background processes are in operation through the launcher such as deleting, replacing and adding files to the game.
Additionally, I would imagine that in order to release the update separately from the launcher they would need to code a separate installation program to mimic the actions performed through the launcher, something which I cannot see them doing when they have the launcher already coded to facilitate the updates.
Additionally, even if the updates were available on a separate server the server would still likely be located in a similar area to where the current launcher update server is kept, meaning that your latency would still be around the same value as it is now resulting in a similar download speed to what you are experiencing now.
i don't mind using the launcher if it wouldn't hinder my download speed so much, my usual dl is 350-400 kb/s but when i use the launcher i only get around 10kb/s on average. I understand that it could be trouble for coding an installation package so the launcher would recognize it properly but its not like it hasn't been done in the past. I believe that DE has a talented group of people at the helm and this is definitely something they are capable of. They might lose some players too because i don't think everyone is patient enough to wait 3 hours for 61 mb :(

what i mean is that they just post downloads to the latest updates because the launcher can be buggy sometimes and we can patch it ourselves. im not saying they should host a bunch of servers for different version of the game, im saying that they should have an option to let us download the patch manually

I'm fairly sure there have been other threads like this but i think it would be much more convenient to have manual update downloads for folks struggling with the launcher. right now I'm having trouble downloading 60 megabytes, i can't imagine what it would be like to download 2 gig
EDIT: what i mean is that they should have the update files ready for download on there site because the launcher has some issues sometimes, sorry for not being clear folks

There's your climatic final boss right there.
one of her abilities would be making your allies look like her and you'd be shooting each other, wouldnt know which is which. your still recieving damage and you have no choice but to shoot back! :D

I think a flaw from the tenno is following someone which you have no information about (lotus) and go out on a killing spree without even twitching.
who knows, Lotus could be the evil mastermind who might raise an army of Frame wearing super soldiers :D

Sniper mods don't exist. Only Rifle ones at the moment; which is why the Paris and Snipetron suffer from sharing the same Rifle mod pool. Which is bad since the mods are bad.

Akbolto's are arguably the best pistols we have right now, the Lex and Kraken being close contenders. Akbolto is generally mid-short range because of the bolt speed/leading targets and the Kraken is similar in that respect (and would also take some time getting used to the recoil and spacing between the two bullet impacts), whereas the Lex is pretty formidable at all ranges but many people prefer lining up those mid-long range shots (many people including myself say it's a better sniper rifle than the Snipetron, hindered only by a lesser zoom). Viper is good too, but you don't want two weapons that eat too much ammo that quickly. Not saying that the Viper is a bullet hose; it's not. Since you're using the Paris I'll assume you know to go for headshots, in which the Viper is accurate enough to also go for those and be quite consistent. Plus it's a pistol so it's going to be good no matter what since Pistol mods are pretty insane.
Yep! im pretty handy with snipers/bows/unicorns, though you probably didnt need to know that, Thanks for the info!
though i dont think ive seen any sniper mods drop yet.

So im pretty new to warframe, Im wondering what would be a good pair for Paris.
at first i wanted to go and get viper for some Close range DPS but the Akbolto seems pretty well rounded too,
Any advice?
